Doodlebug25413 Escape Wedding 4/11/16- PICTURE HEAVY POSTS!!

Yay for Godmother doing better! I really hope she can make it to the wedding. I know my godmother would hate to miss ours, so I can't imagine how yours would feel, given the situation.

The headpiece is very pretty! I can't wait to see it on :teeth:

Good call on not doing the DP, given your guest count. Can you confirm with DFTW if you can wear your gown on the boat? I mean, you won't be in a park, so I can't imagine why not...

Yay for having pictures and video and officiant pretty much settled! We've had our officiant longer than we've been officially engaged :lmao:

I like the idea of the display for the God's Knot thing. I have some of the same misgivings on the other unity ceremonies as you (not fond of the sand, candle is out because we'd be outside, and the wine, eh, while the glass is just way too expensive). I've been looking at a salt ceremony, but he's not too big on the idea just yet. I'm slowly prodding him now and again.

You'll post pics of your shadowbox when it's done, right?

I'm glad to hear your godmother is doing better. Your headpiece is gorgeous!! :)

Yay for having photo and video pretty much settled. Those are some major check points off the planning list. :thumbsup2

My godmother & I were crying on the phone over the whole ordeal. We are so close, when the time comes, (and I hope that's forever from now) I'm going to have a difficult time with it.
I'll post hair picks when I can get that scheduled. I need to make an appt to get my hair trimmed, it's just time consuming & sometimes hectic bringing the baby along. He gets so antsy.
Yep, I liked the Salt Ceremony meaning too. But my husband kinda groaned. He's not very religious. He's ok with the God's Knot. Surprising. But he's a guy, so his whole idea is just say I do & eat. SMH

Thank you! Yes, I'm happy that she's better!
I just need to get my confirmation from Disney before I send a deposit to secure Randy & Stan. I just know my dumb luck, if I sent in a deposit & its not refundable, then DFTW would be calling me saying, Oh so sorry,
but we can't do your date. o_O

So, if anyone will be down to the World during October 16-Oct 19 & you wanted to try and get together for a mickey bar or something, let me know. I would love to meet you guys!
I am coming down that long weekend to visit with my girlfriend again. This time, I'm bringing the little man. His 1st visit!

And so far looks like we are confirmed. Diane is going to call me back today or tomorrow with the final say so! :D

I have this horrible habit of reading and forgetting to comment! I'm so glad your godmother is doing better and there seems to be a green light all around!! Happy 8 months countdown ;)

I WISH I were going to be there in October... for Halloween Party and Food & Wine... :( But I hope you have a blast!

We are heading down for our wedding that weekend! I'll let you know what our plans are :)

WE ARE CONFIRMED!!!
MONDAY APRIL 11 2016!! 5PM!!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::dance3:

I've also sent in the deposits for Randy Chapman and Stan Severance at STVS Video, we are booked with them now.
I finished my Save the Dates & mailed them out already. And I finished my invitations so that they are now ready to go out when that deadline comes along.
Time is going by so fast now. Everything seems so surreal at this point. Now that time is creeping up on me, I need to get in to get my dress altered.
And secure any ADR's for our meals and stuff.

Totally off wedding topic, but my artsy fartsy self decided that me & the bug are going to be Lilo & Stitch for the Halloween party for our October trip. So, I HAD to make a Scrump doll for my outfit.
Here she is:

I'm waiting for the blue hoodie to come in for Alex's costume. I really just needed something easy for him to get in and out of because we are going to be in the park so late. And I'm just gluing ears made out of felt to the top.
Mine was pretty simple, I ordered a red tunic dress style & I'm gluing the white leaves on it. I wanted something easy & comfortable. Figured I'd wear leggings underneath with some comfy sandals or something.

I'm so glad that your Godmother is doing well and that she'll hopefully be attending!

Also- SUPER EXCITING that you got a proper date!!! I'd be wearing that tiara 24/7 if I had a proper date! :o

YAY you got your date!!! I am so happy to see everything really falling to place! and I love the headpiece its so cute! and you are so crafty that doll came out so amazing! :goodvibes

Sorry I've been a little MIA. Lots of things happening lately. Trying to catch up with everyone's journals too.

I should hear back from DFTW next week with who my coordinator will be.
I have my 1st dress fitting/alteration on Oct 6. So I'm trying to crash diet since I've picked up more weight. Which is not good.
I did find out there is a fitness gym with daycare at the hospital, so I am definitely looking into that. Kevin is still in Texas, hoping he can come home in a few weeks for a visit too.

I am super duper excited I have the date & time! Now it seems like everything is starting to fall into place now.

My Godmother is en route to Ohio to be with her sister, who is currently going thru chemo. She has been overwhelmed with everything. But I'm glad she is feeling stronger & better. and that she gets to go stay with her sister
now that she is no longer considered having an infection.

Ok, so, here are the costume pics for the MNSSHP in Oct.

Ok, Alex was sleeping when I got finished the jacket. So I used his Stitch doll instead. The ears are pretty floppy.
It was pretty easy to do these. And super cheap.

And my BFF sent this pic to me while she was in DTD with her daughter. I totally want to do these as maybe favors for everyone. I love my Sorcerer Mickey.

Yay for being officially locked in and confirmed! What an enormous weight off your shoulders to not worry about that.

I love your Lilo dress - it looks like it was a professionally made costume!!

You know, if you disassemble a wire hanger (you could easily get one from a dry cleaner, if you don't have one to spare), you could bend it to help give shape and support to the ears on the Stitch hood :) Just an idea! Very cute outfits!

Thank you hun, and no, if you look really close, you can see the hot glue on the leaves LOL. But it still turned out cute I think. I'm going to wear leggings underneath because the top is just a tunic style tshirt.
Yes, I'm super happy we are official!

I actually have pipe cleaners in the ears. I think the pipe cleaners & the wire hanger would make it flop either way. I dunno. Unless there's some other way I can secure it. But either way, it's done. I'm not going to fuss over it. He might not keep the hood up anyways since he doesn't like things on his head.

Well, the flights I just booked. And they have hit my budget hard! UGH So a few things I'm going to have to cut back on my wants now.
But it's all going to be fine. I'm not stressing. Well, trying not to, LOL But everything is all set. So it's another headache off my check list.
Still haven't heard back from Disney who my coordinator will be. But it's ok. I'll give it another week since it's a holiday weekend.

So now, with my time line starting to come into sight, I have to take my oldest son out & get his outfit together. (Oh Now that's going to be a joyous occasion NOT)
I'm going to do a trial run on my hair at my local salon to see what I really want & to be able to tell or at least show pictures to whomever I end up do my hair.

Otherwise, now I'm looking forward to the trip in October and more especially, there's good word that hubby will be coming home in a few weeks for a job close to home. So I'm really excited about that!
Alex is walking with his little Backpack Leash pretty well now. I'm only doing it for his safety. He's a quick little thing, and I'm old and slow. But it's also helping me teach him that he needs to hold my hand and
stay with me. Plus the new umbrella stroller came in, and I love it! It lays flat, has a carrying strap and is super easy to turn.

That's it for now.

I love the stitch outfit!! Did you make it?? If so you have some serious talent! So glad everything is falling in to place now and sorry the plane tickets hit the budget hard it did the same too us! But you are so crafty with your DIY I am sure you can cut a few corners. and hope you get your cooridnator soon and make sure to post pictures from your trial with your hair!

Happy Planning

Yep, I made it. Pinterest is such a dangerous website! I had fun doing it. I just hope Alex will keep it on. I just really wanted something that I could just take off the jacket & lay him right down in the crib when we get back from the party.
And thank you for the compliment.
