Cheaper/low key activity in Orlando

We get off our cruise (Cape Canaveral) at 7:30am so we have the whole day until about 4pm when we need to head to the airport.

We were looking for a low key activity like the Children's Museum. It would have been perfect but it is too far since we will be driving from Cape Canaveral.

We have a 3 years old and a 6 month old. Any suggestions? We were hoping not to pay $90 per person and deal with huge crowds.

Thanks!

What about Gatorland? They have a great little petting zoo, a small red train that takes you for rides around the park, TONS of gators (which you can feed for a small fee), a selection of birds and snakes, some fun little shows (none too long), and a themed splash park. There's a buy one admission, get one free coupon in the Orlando Entertainment Book which would save you about $25 (and the Entertainment Books are on sale right now for $5 and free shipping).

There are some neat state parks. Kelly State park and DeLeon (where the fountain of youth is) look great. It is $5 a car to get in. They do sometimes close if they reach capacity.

So you are on the Airport side of Orlando when you are at Port Canaveral.

( A ) Leave the Port & turn Left heading for CoCo Beach. Then Enter the Beach side Park ( Name ? ) a few miles along & Turn LEFT

( B ) Leave the Port & Turn Right , heading for Orlando AND Airport ( MCO ) a few miles along

Turn Right & Take road towards Titisville But turn onto Hwy 50

On this road you will pass , on left, " Midway Airboats " , Check for times & Check if there are HEADPHONES for a 6 month old.

( C ) BYPASS ( B ) and after a few miles Stop at " Christmas " and look at the Tree ...... THEN turn Right

And enter , on Left , " Fort Christmas " , replica of a soldier fort . & State Park

.................

Then make way back to Hwy 50 & head for Airport.

.....................

Remember to take some food & water with you ... from Ship.

Have you made your plans yet........ A follow up reply would be good. ?

At Deleon St Park they have make your own pancakes that I think looks like a fun thing to do. I have tried to get my family interested in going, but they all say no.

Hi! Sorry no plans yet, so much information to take in and so little time! I have a newborn and toddler, but I'm reading. Thanks for the responses :)
