So I really was finally about to book with SOuthwest, figuring if they go down, no problem I get a credit to use for when we go next summer.

Well I had to call them about the Rapid Rewards and he said 75% chance they will come down in price still. But then he told me if I get a credit, that travel has to be completed within one year. So there goes using the credit for next August to Disney!!!

Now back to waiting and stressing that they will come down more!!

Is Jet Blue the same with their credit system?

Sorry to be stressing about this again...vent over...

Right now my flights are 219 depart and 279 return. I actually added an extra day before free dining cause flights out on the 15th of August were 289. So save 70. Pp to go a day early and that pays for an extra day at Disney.

Those prices are very high and probably not worth flying out of Buffalo for. I think I mentioned to you before that prices did drop in June last year. I booked last August in early June. Keep checking every day.

With Jetblue, you get a credit added to your Travel Bank if the price of your flight drops within the first 14 days of booking.

Honoring the Lower Fare
In the event that a fare on a JetBlue-operated flight decreases after purchase, customers may rebook travel at the lower fare on the same flight with no charge if rebooked within 14 days of the date the original ticket was purchased, and prior to departure. Any difference in fare will be returned in the form of a JetBlue credit, good for one year from the date of issuance. Effective August 14, 2014, there is a $75 fee associated with honoring a lower fare on tickets exchanged 15 days or more from the original purchase date.

For questions on JetBlue's honoring a lower fare policy, please contact JetBlue Reservations at 1-800-JETBLUE for assistance.

Jetblue does not allow free changes like Southwest does. But, Jetblue includes advance seat selection in their rate, and has a TV on every seat.

It's all really crazy regarding price changes. They change daily....really. We booked the instant November flights were announced and got a good deal. Within 15 minutes the prices kept going up. Flying back on the Saturday after Thanksgiving....one way....are now up to $ 465.00. Ridiculous! We got round trip for $ 329.00. I kept checking last year and found that 3 mos. before you want to fly...the prices got better. I've never flown around a Holiday, so I'm not sure this would be true for that time of year. I would just keep checking weekly. And yes....SW credits have to be used within one year. And I do have a credit...which I could have used but you have to put in your flight number when you book a new flight or you can't use it. I lost out on that because I wasn't aware you had to do it at the time of booking a new flight. Good luck!

I will keep checking. I was going to, thinking a credit could be used to book a flight within one year. But now i will wait and prey to the flight Gods. Lol

You really do have to check each day. We booked our August flights a few weeks ago and they have changed up and down since. Originally we had booked 1 stop flights but were able to change both flights to non-stops for only $8 more each. I've found that you have to be a bit flexible to get the best deals. What dates are you looking for?

I agree with PP that those prices are high from Buffalo. We booked in April for flights direct from Toronto to Orlando in June ($377-all in) and September ($389 all-in) return. Unless you live closer to Buffalo, I would try your dates from Toronto. Both Air Canada and WestJet have been having sales that would include your dates.

These prices are seriously stressing me out!! I am really hoping at max to pay around 300 - 350 pp roundtrip. I am even considering Detroit over buffalo!

But these flight prices are just making me want to give up!:scared:
I know they had a sale that caused the sale to be down, I didn't see my flights on sale but am worried when the sake is over prices will go up.

I know thewebsite

Flint, MI flies nonstop to Orlando with SW now. It's pretty cheap. Labor Day weekend is $280 round trip for me.
