2015 Gay Days and Walt Disney World

Does anyone know what time the "BEAR" group gathering is for the Countey Bear Jamboree show??

Sadly for us, wife, DS (2.5 yo) & I will be one week late. Our trip is scheduled for the 13th - 20th. But, we will be there for my birthday and our anniversary.

The formerly out-laws but now in-laws (thanks for finally recognizing my marriage Indiana) live just outside of Tampa and are coming up to watch the boy so we can celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary at Le Cellier. It may not be "Gay Days" but it sure will be our gay day! :P

Have fun on the monorail crawl and at all the awesome events!

Hey disboarders,

I've been wanting to go to Disney GayDays since I heard it existed but none of my friends share my enthusiasm for the event (though they do admit to minor Disney addictions), so I'm coming down from NYC to GayDays2015 for the 25th anniversary and am reallyexcited about it.

Wish I wasn't doing it along though. Maybe there are some other guys that will be there at the same time and wants to do some park hopping together?

Sometimes going solo isn't bad. With that said, I will be in the parks following the schedule: Thursday-AK, Friday-DHS, Saturday-MK, and Sunday-EP. I will be at WDW from 6/2-6/8. Park-hopping is a possibility.

WHAT EARS?! This will be my husband and I's first trip to Disney, and I would love some memorabilia that has some pride aspects. Does anyone know what kind of merchandise they have geared toward "us"
Disneyland always has Gay Days merchandise prominently displayed. WDW has it but not as easy to find or as blatant but I love Mickey Mouse Icon Rainbow Tee for Adults - White (Multicolor Mouse) Item 7505055889970M in the online Disney store. They usually have pins in the parks too but you have to look for them.

I will also be visiting from the UK during Gay Days. Been to Florida and Disney many times, but never during Gay Days.

Did not realise the dates until after I had actually booked the flight, so any information, gladly

There are several parties. Rip Tide is a younger more fit crowd at Typhoon Lagoon and Tidal Wave is more Bear oriented at Wet and Wild. Just Google both of them to find other events. We love Rip Tide but are trying Tidal Wave this year. We love the Sunday event at Epcot that is done by Rip Tide promoter.

I bought the blue version of that shirt when i was there a couple weeks ago just to wear this coming week.
It comes in 4 colors I believe.
Havent seen the ears before. Hmmmmm.

I actually started putting together clothes and such today for the trip.
Mix of red shirts and #BETRUE shirts. Hoping to get the 2015 product before I get down there.

Dano, I think it is time to put some specifics out there about the Wednesday, June 3rd Monorail Crawl that you and I have planned:

5:15pm --> Pre-Crawl cocktails with casual eats (pizza, wings, nachos, etc) at Crockett's Tavern at Fort Wilderness Resort
7:00pm --> Kick off the Crawl at the Outer Rim Lounge at the Contemporary Resort
8:15pm --> Keep the Crawl alive at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at the Polynesian Resort
9:30pm --> Finish up the Crawl (as long as you can still crawl - LOL) at Mizner's Lounge at the Grand Floridian Resort

So to anyone who might want to join us, please feel free to do so. We have done the Crawl a couple times in the past and have found it to be a good way to meet new friends. Hope we can meet some new ones this year as well!
I'm staying at GF. Might stop by and say hello.

The crawl sounds like a lot of fun, but....sigh....my friends and I don't fly in until Thursday. We are definitely planning to be at the MK on Saturday for the big 25th Gay Day! This will be my fifth year in-a-row, and if I remember correctly, the bears gathering at the County Bear Jamboree starts around 1:00pm. Although it is usually very crowded, I usually try to watch the afternoon parade from that area, too. Looking forward to seeing a lot of red on Saturday!

Although I usually attend with friends, last year I ended up coming solo and I still had a great time! This year, I will be attending with three other friends. What has always impressed me the most about Gay Days is the overall friendliness of the crowd. It seems like everybody is there to enjoy some fun and good times. I think you will find it very easy to strike up conversations and meet a lot of really cool peeps.

Been here almost two days now and I'm having a blast! Heading to Epcot this evening. Cannot wait until Wednesday's crawl!

It seems odd not many are staying at the GF as it is the Gay Day's host hotel. We had planned on going to DL this year but couldn't pass up the Gay Day's rate.

The official "host hotel" for 2015 Gay Days Orlando is the DoubleTree at SeaWorld. Disney does not have a Gay Days host hotel.

My best friend and I will be there from 6/4-6/8 & staying at the Swan / hit me up if you'd like to meet up with us at the park or for drinks...are you doing Typhoon Lagoon party Friday eve?
I just saw this post! Would be great to meet up for drinks or at the parks. I'm not going to typhoon lagoon though.

Does anyone know how parking works at the double tree if you're going to one of the expos?
If you are not staying at The Doubletree at SeaWorld, there is a separate parking area for "attendees only." There have always been large electronic signs directing folks to "Gay Days Parking." There is a $5 parking fee, but you also get a coupon that is good for $5 towards food or drink in The Doubletree. Whatever you do, resist the temptation of parking across the street in one of the restaurant or other hotel parking lots. Those businesses are reserving their parking lots for their customers/guests, and I have witnessed some vehicles getting towed away. Pay the $5, and then get your $5 back by getting some food or drink inside. Oh, and valet parking is available for $10 for the day or $14 overnight. But, if you use valet parking, there are no "rebate coupons."
