I'm signed up for my time dining, but would really rather not have to book dinner times. If I change to early seating, are we still free to eat at other for-fee restaurants?

I don't think any of the RCI ships have self service laundromats.

You will need to give any items to be laundred to your cabin steward. Keep in mind that it's at least a 24 hour turnaround service.

You don't have to make reservations if you don't want to. There is a stand-by line for the Main Dining Room during the evening dinner. You just have to get in line and they will seat you. The beauty of this is that you can eat at any time you want in the evening. Of course, if you want, you can make a dinner reservation for the same time for each evening if you want; ie: 6:00, 6:40, 7:30, 8:45 - whatever
And yes, no matter what "dining plan" you choose, you can eat wherever you want on any night. The fee venues will require a reservation

I signed up for my time dining also, but I'm going to change it. My daughter likes eating at the same time, with the same people and same server.

I had My Time Dining on my most recent RCI cruise in June 2014, and I requested the same servers at about the same time most evenings. I didn't reserve in advance, but just showed up at the dining room. Since our servers had 4-5 tables in their section, I never had a problem being seated at one of them. Some of the same people were also at my table each night.
