I recently posted we were waiting to book our trip because my cousin is doing the internship starting in Aug...so far this is what she told us...free parking..40 percent discount if she purchases for us and 3 or 4 park tickets per season...another friend her sister did it at Disneyland and she said it's black out dates and she said she could just walk her family in the park without using tickets....so is there anything else?

The main entrance pass can only admit three guests in one day (not sure how many days DCP gets), but discounted tickets are available as well. I believe the 40% is only for hotels, discount for food and merchandise is up to 20%.

The CP's get 3 guest passes that are good for 6 days each. The guest passes are connected in the way that if you bring one guest it still uses up all 3 for one of the 6 days. There are black out dates.MK being the one park that is blacked out the most. We were there in March to visit my DD currently in the CP and the MK was blacked out the whole week.

PP posters are correct on tickets, just to verify that you must have tickets, you can not be walked in without them. It's possible the friend didn't understand that the CM sister was scanning them in with her main gate passes. Note the CM must go in with you at the gate, they can not hand you tickets to go on your own so be sure they are scheduled with work to go with you through the gate. Consider the black out dates before you book if you are dependent on tickets. They can purchase tickets but discount is minimal and I did better using ticket broker.

Free parking comes with staying at a Disney Resort OR riding with the CM. If you are staying offsite, unless she is with you then you can not get free parking.

40% - not sure you are talking resorts or buying things since you are saying "purchases."

- Yes rooms can be booked for you at 40% off but it's not an across the board any resort you want at any time. The discount is to fill rooms so once you have dates she can check which resorts have rooms and how much the total price will be. My DD has been there 9 mos and in 5 trips not once was a room open that I wanted or wanted to spend the money on. It was almost all deluxe. She has used her discount when friends visited a couple times.

- If you are talking purchases then the normal discount is 20% and she has to pay for it. Can not use your credit card. There will be holiday discounts of 40% off for a time before and after xmas to allow for fall and spring DCP to get the discount. DD window shopped all fall then made purchases during the 40% off. Dining is 20% on food. Of course CM has to be there but they will let anyone pay. There are periodically 40% discounts on eating that will be published monthly I think. It is a handful of locations, usually at resorts and often does not include dinner. And sometimes other specials like DD got a great rate at HDDR for late show. We had 40% lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe, Captain Grille, Olivias...

Thanks. I'm wanting to go on and book but my family is saying no let's wait to see if we get a better deal. I really think we are only gonna save with her buying things for us. But then she also said she can only get 40 percent off if she stays with us. Lol so I'm hearing tons of things and I'm all confused

When are you planning to go?

Usually the rate is 40% for friends/family and 50+% if she stays in the room. Remember additional adult fees so that will reduce the discount.

The week after thanksgiving or first week in Dec. It's 5 of us going but me and my mom want our own room plus the others will have a wild kid so they are gonna do kiddie things while me and my mom wanna do the epcot Christmas..and the others are doing universal and were not. Lol it's a family trip but nobody will be together.

Room Only Discounts for the General Public for that time frame last year were 15-30% off and you could book them starting July 23 until Oct 31. It will give you an idea of what discount you can get for the resorts you are looking at for backup if hers don't work for you. If you can firm up your dates (not sure if you are buying plane tickets but that would firm you up) then you could book with these discounts in July. Then once she is there and has access to the CM discounts, she can find out if she can get you something with her 40% - then you can cancel and switch to her reservation. The offerings are always changing and no set dates so I would rather have a room on hold in case.

This page will take you to 2015 rates that is easy to play around with and get some ideas. http://www.mousesavers.com/2015-disney-world-room-rates-season-dates/

Keep in mind the 20% is NOT for quick service location, so for example you can't get 20% off Dole Whip. The discount does apply at Downtown Disney QF locations though.
