Cursor position and typing issues on iphone

So with the new boards I am having cursor issues on my iPhone. It is SO very frustrating that I can't even post anything else without saying some not nice words and wanting to throw something. Lol.

If I have typed a post and want to go back and change or add something somewhere in the post I can't hardly get the typing cursor to go where I want. I can try to press somewhere and the cursor goes exactly not there. I can even press and hold to do the zoom in thing to get to an exact letter or space, when I release and the cursor should be there, it will be way in a different part of the post. I end up deleting whole paragraphs because I can't move the cursor.

If I click away from typing and want to go back to the end of the post, the cursor will be way up in the post at some random place and I can't hardly get it back to the end of the post. I keep cutting and pasting things I don't want by trying to click all over the page.

Also, when you're typing as I am right now. The post doesn't scroll up. You keep typing and it disappears behind the keyboard that pops up on the iPhone.

This is very frustrating and way worse than how it was before. Please fix this so I don't go crazy just by trying to visit the boards.

Also, the site keeps freezing up while I'm typing. When it does my cursor goes crazy and I have to go through the annoying process of trying to be able to type where I want.

Please fix this!!!!!!!!!!

The only way I'm able to edit on my iphone is by posting (with errors) and then editing the post. There is no way to move the cursor within the text you've already typed. :headache:

That is extremely annoying. Seems like an iPhone would be one of the most popular ways people access the boards. It's not like the iPhone is new or some random phone that barely anyone has, it's extremely popular world wide.

Seems like it would be able to work much better with one of the most popular phones in the world.

I can edit on my iPhone 6 Plus but can't edit on my iPad 2. The only way to move my cursor within text on my iPad is to hide the keyboard and then tap where I want the cursor positioned.

On my iPhone, the text also disappears behind the keyboard.

I also can't select specific text I want to quote when using my iPhone yet I can on my iPad. Today, I couldn't Edit an existing post on my iPad but could on my iPhone... a major inconvenience because I am doing the upkeep on the SWW Roll Call. I hesitate to promote the Roll Call because it has become such an ordeal to add any DISers.

I am having the same issues on my ipad! Can't go back and correct mistakes before I post. I can try to backspace everything but then sometimes my new typing is invisible, depending on how far I've backspaced.

It's easier to "hide" your keyboard and then tap where you need to edit to bring up the keyboard again. A somewhat antiquated way to use a site that's "optimized??" for mobile devices.

The problem is you can't tap and have the cursor move. It remains at the end of the last thing you've typed and won't move anywhere else you tap.

But if you tap the keyboard icon in the lower right of the keyboard, the keyboard disappears and then when you tap where you want to edit, the cursor appears there when the keyboard pops up.

I don't have a keyboard icon in the lower right of the keyboard, but if I tap done, and then tap the screen, the keyboard pops back up and the cursor moves where I tapped. Thanks.

I'm glad that works. On my iphone6+, I have to be in landscape view, which I don't like, to be able to see the keyboard icon.

I do hope they fix this for mobile users.
