Really, they promise? We've heard that before. Anyway, here's the scoop!

Prime Big Deal Days will take place in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, the U.S., and the UK.

See the announcement on LinkedIn from Doug Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores.

We’ll share more details soon as we get closer to the event. We can’t wait to give our Prime members access to exclusive early savings this season.

Stay tuned for more!

I think the biggest deals were the savings one could get by using 1 point on select credit cards, as far as discounted merchandise the sales only mirrored what other stores had. Well, we'll see what happens.

Golly, I can't remember ever going to Aldi, and only because it's not in my shopping bubble. :o

Hopefully Peeps who shop at Winn-Dixie etc., will have a few more opportunities to earn rewards on gift cards this holiday, offers ranged from 8x to 12x.
I do some shopping at Aldi. They only carry 3rd party GCs around the holidays. The majority of the food items they carry are their own label. They have their staples, then there are some special items that are only in stores until they sell out. They don‘t have sales per se, it‘s more like produce has a lower price when it’s in season. I’m not a big fan of their meat (I buy in bulk at Costco).
You bring a quarter for your cart, bring your own bags and many times there are only 2-3 employees working at a time. And they are stocking shelves if there is no one at checkout. It’s a minimalist experience.

Thank you. I had no idea. I know they fixed the ability to not auto renew. I didn't know they allowed access to in store shopping. I guess I am going to BJS before 8/28.
Honestly, neither did I until I started poking around in my account... I had to find the email they had sent to confirm thats what happened 🤣

My neighbor says they sell organic items as well?

They do! We're big Aldi fans in our house. Ours sells a good mix of organic and gluten free items in addition to regular items.

We shop their flyer each week. They don't do coupons, but their weekly sale items are deep discount. Something to keep in mind, Aldi sells all of its own label stuff (lots of different labels, but they are all Aldi owned). There is no variety to speak of in that regard. If you want a bag of chips, they'll have lots of different kinds, but they'll all be under the (Aldi-owned) Clancy's label. If you want cookies, they'll have options similar to what you'd see in a typical grocery store, but they'll all be Benton's (another Aldi brand). Crackers are under the Savoritz label. Dairy is under the Happy Farms or Friendly Farms label. If you see a name brand in the store, it's probably overstock and isn't much cheaper than it would be in a typical grocery store. The savings is in buying the Aldi brands- which are all just as good as (sometimes better than) the name brands.

In season fresh produce is so cheap at my Aldi, often cheaper than getting it at the farmer's market or local produce stands. They also have the cheapest eggs and milk around me. The only thing I've noticed is that it gets picked over quickly because they only get one shipment a week. You have to figure out what day that is and come right after that for the biggest, freshest selection.

And there is the German food. And the chocolate at Christmas time....

I could go on...

We mostly hit them for the German food and the cheap cheese. (which is how it's affectionately known in our house, 'the cheap cheese store' Hubby's colleague recommended Aldi when discussing making a cheese platter for a party, said we could get it cheap there. He was right!) We're actually having some of their schnitzel for dinner tonight.

We do find name brands in the center aisles but like you said, they're overages or close outs so you never know what you'll get. But that's why they don't really do coupons, it's mostly their house brands or imports.

I thought I saw the GCs over the summer, but again, if it was, probably seasonal for graduations. We've tried to use them more often because most of the house brands are pretty good, but there's always something we want that they don't have so we end up splitting trips anyway. So it's been demoted to special Aldi runs to stock up on select items. We actually live in an area that has almost too many grocery options. If we didn't I could see shopping there more.

I've noticed that they have some nice cheese, but I haven't really priced it out. I'll check it out next time!

Just sharing,
because sharing is caring... :flower:

Rather than making a doctor's appointment, sometimes we would get our vaccinations or boosters at CVS and from there I would inform the medical assistant about it. For years I thought they were adding it to my medical records, well shame on me. My new Doctor just asked me for all this information because it's not in my medical file where it should be.

Did I leave on bad terms, post a negative review or report my doctor for being uncaring. No. I haven't started that process yet but it's coming. Oh boy is it coming!

Just so you know (and you might want to write this down),
CVS only keeps 2 years on file, after that you have to call:
Customer Service 800-287-2414 press #3, then press #5
and they will mail out whatever you need, as far back as you need.

Jeez o pete! He's no longer my doctor and he still makes me mad!

So they aren’t EHRs (electronic health records)? It feels weird that they haven’t moved to that since it’s easy to share info between providers. But my family doesn’t go to CVS for anything health related since my husband works for Optum and CVS health is a rival so it is out of network.

CVS or any other pharmacy isn't going to tell your Dr what shots you've gotten. However, and this may be state dependent, it should be going to your state record. Any immunizations you get at your dr should also go there.

I don't know if the Dr office gets this info and looking at my mychart it has stuff I got last year but not this year. My state page shows this year but not the one I just got Monday which isn't surprising. I'd guess the dr office pulls updates once a year.

All that to say a lot of these systems only have 1 way communication. Your dr knows they sent the rx to the pharm but they don't find out if you don't pick it up.

When I first started seeing him, everything was hand written. I'm not sure when his office changed to EHR. Regardless, whenever I had an appointment the assistant always asked if something had changed since my last visit and I would tell her Yes, I got this shot on date at CVS. I swear she added that in. After she took my blood pressure and temperature the doc would come in. And I would reiterate I had this done at CVS. and he would look at the chart and say oh good or whatever.

It's not like they didn't send the new PC my medical records, she has them. The only thing missing are all the records from CVS.
And no, CVS will not send those records to new PC, they are mailed out to you.
