2023 Moonlight Magic Dates

Bad news is that none of these dates fall during our trip. Good news is that I still have a chance at switching my resort at the 7 month window.

Yay! The Studios has Moonlight Magic on our first night at BWV! I'll have to make sure we get an early flight.

We happen to be there for DHS. Please tell me what it's like for that park? We got to one years ago for Epcot. Do you need to have used a park ticket on that day to go?

Event registration will allow you to enter the park after a set time (about 2 hours prior to event start time) without needing a park ticket or a park reservation. To enter prior to that time, tickets would be required.

Super stoked! We are there for the 7/11 AK date (staying at BCV 7/9-7/15), and we're already registered for the 2/1 date at DCA (SoCal locals). Feel like the cards finally fell in our favor this year!

So my wife and I are brand new DVC members and actually have a trip booked the week of the september MM in HS. I keep seeing posts about how difficult admission is to get - does anyone know if most of these people who are struggling are ones without a resort reservation?

If we have a resort reservation are we likely to get in? We have our room booked at Riviera that entire week

Owners with resort reservations are given a +/- 1 week advanced window to register. Out here in SoCal, with only 52 DVC rooms at VGC, it's not a big deal, but at WDW, with 3,500 DVC villas, it tends to "sell out" quicker. Owners with resort reservations can also register for MM up to the occupancy limit of the villa, so you'll have tons of 2BR villas with 9 registered attendees for example. Those without a resort reservation can register for a total of 5 MM attendees.

I could not get one last year and already had a resort reservation. When the ticket opening time begins you are put in a queue and your place is line is random (unless you join later) so it’s mostly luck of the draw.

There are way more people trying to get tickets than there are actual spots.

Did I read somewhere that you can have only one Moonlight magic per membership? In the past, we would go to MM in each park. Just added my daughter to deed and her first trip coincides with a typhoon lagoon. I don't want to try to get Hollywood studios and cut her out. I can understand why the new rule exists with so many more people,

You can only have one MM, per park, per membership, per year.

2023 Disney Vacation Club Moonlight Magic

The registration page for February 1 was open for days. Basically anyone within driving distance of DCA who wished to attend had little difficulty of registering.

How did you find out that the California Adventure date was available to book several days ago? The first notification I received was in the email sent this morning. Bummer - it was already closed by the time I found out. 😿

Hi all. We have two direct contracts and one resale. Since we have "DVC Y" on our virtual cards, does it matter if we're booked with resale points for the MM dates?

TIA

This is why I have semi-high hopes for the AK night in July. It's AK, and it's July...LOL
