Question - we are going 2/19-2/26 - booked the package though Disney for room and tckets. With all the cases spiking like crazy I am wondering does anyone know what happens if you have to cancel last minute due to a positive test?? That would be the only reason we would cancel, but I’m scared I’m going to lose all our money if it happened. Can we just rebook and apply it to another trip? Should I get the insurance that is offered on the Disney site for packages? Thanks!

Ugh! I don't even wanna think about the possibility of testing positive but in reality I guess we should. If you happen to find out the answer make sure you come back and let us know. My biggest concern is hubby is an instructor at the local community college and his students (young and old) come in sock all the time with the flu and other sicknesses. Makes him so mad and he sends them home. So there is no way for him to avoid being around others. He teaches welding and he can't really wear a mask while welding so he doesn't even have that protection against things that normally go around this time of the year. Thankfully I work from home so I am not around people as much so it's not as big of a concern for me and our college student son because his classes are online for the most part.

I read it happened to another person on the dis and that’s where my anxiety started lol. I have 11 and 13 year old kids in a billion activities and in school. We are all vaccinated, but the cases in my area are out of control.

Have a question for you all...I have been trying to grab a topolino's breakfast for our Epcot day but haven't been successful yet. I will keep trying but in the mean time I have an "Ohana breakfast booked in it's place. We have never eaten at 'Ohana and I actually have a supper reservation there as well but hubby says he isn't interested anymore after I read some reviews so I'll probably drop that. Have any of you eaten the 'Ohana breakfast lately? If so, what is your opinion of it? I'm just trying to find a good breakfast outside the parks for EPCOT day because we don't really mind if we miss rope drop/early entry for EPCOT so that's the best day for a breakfast for us since I like to do one sit down breakfast meal. I also have a Tusker House on Animal kingdom booked but it's at 9:20 so If I keep it I hope we can rope drop FOP at early entry and still make it for the reservation if I decide to keep it. In this instance I normally wouldn't want to waste precious park time since we aren't hopping but since EE is closed while we are there I feel like we would still be able to accomplish everything in AK even with a sit down breakfast.

Both Ale and Compass at the Yacht Club and Trattoria at the Boardwalk have nice breakfasts. Cape May has a family style breakfast but I personally won’t eat there until they bring back their buffets .:)

Have you tried using the Touring Plans reservation finder? It is free to use and it has found some ADRs for us.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have used some reservation finders and I usually miss the alerts because they are through the night

I would contact Disney to find out about cancelling due to a positive Covid test.

In the past when we had to change our trip closer to travel I moved our reservation to future dates, without penalty. Hoping we can do the same should we need to alter our upcoming reservation as today is our pay-in-full date.

I went through this in December, my Son tested positive on a Monday and we were supposed to arrive that Friday. I was able to reschedule everything without penalty, the only thing I lost was my travel insurance fee and my Christmas party tickets which I filed to travel insurance to recover (which is taking forever btw). I rebooked our trip to February and Disney moved all the funds over to the new reservation. Just keep in mind this was 4 days out, I *think* if it’s less than 72hrs there’s a penalty but would definitely check with Disney to confirm.

Ok this is helpful. Thank you

I would second all of this. Easy access to EP when you are done as well.

Today is the first day without Magical Express. I saw people posting Uber and Lyft prices and they were higher than what I was seeing a month ago and so I just looked myself and they are about the same they were when I was checking last month. I'm trying to decide what I want to do for transportation to and from the airport. We arrive at 8:40 pm and we aren't sure we will want to wait for the bus services that are available to pay for. Although one says you won't have to wait more than 15 minutes before leaving the airport. I am seriously considering Tony Hinds who is highly recommended on the boards. I've been emailing with him and just think I'm willing to pay for his service since he has great reviews and will make a quick stop at the store for us to grab some things. He thinks if our flight is on time we would have time to make it by the time the store closes at 10:00.

I am waiting to see how the Mears Connect is working before making a decision about the transportation to and from the airport.

I went ahead and booked the Mears Connect for end of January since it has a full refund policy I figured I’d take advantage of its current “intro rates“ and I can cancel and Uber or car service if reports are bad...I have a feeling Uber may jack up prices...

The Yacht Club is a great place to stay. We will be staying there from Feb 6-10th. It is a great location and we love being able to walk to two parks and hop into Epcot at night to watch the fireworks or enjoy the entertainment.
Thanks! I officially switched us over to the Yacht Club! I’m not going to tell my kiddos, just going to surprise them. It came down to convenience, I think being in walking distance to 2 parks will allow us a more leisurely paced trip, not getting up super early to be in the front of the bus/skyliner lines (just to book genie+ 🤪). We’ve already stayed at AoA when our kids were little so looking forward to a new resort area and the walkability!

I finally scored a Topolino's breakfast on our EPCOT day. It's a bit later than I wanted (it's at 9:35) but that's okay. I'll keep trying to modify it to an earlier time as we get closer. I must have been searching at the right time. Not even sure why I got on to check for it. It kind of stunned me when I saw the time pop up. I put it under hubby's name so I didn't have to cancel our 'Ohana breakfast just yet just in case we see the 'Ohana works better for us since it's at like 8:05.

No word on stitch coming back to Ohana yet right? It’s always a favorite of ours but not the same without the characters.
