Has Anyone had a Waitlist Come Through Recently

Waitlist definitely works, mine just matched for one night in January which I was stalking on line and never showed up, at GFV in standard studio

I have never had waitlist luck, but I got one of my nights at BLT in October on Wednesday, even though I stalk the website all day long. I had almost forgotten I had even put in the waitlist.

Well, my waitlist hasn’t come through, but the day before our trip came available, so I grabbed it. I canceled my original waitlist and put in a new one for the 4 days I originally wanted. We currently have 4 days in a standard deluxe studio at RR and 5 days in a Savanna view studio at Kidani. My hope is to cut the first or last day at Kidani depending on if the new waitlist comes through.

One question. If I have 3 of the 4 days in a reservation, is the system smart enough to fill the waitlist if the 4th day becomes available? Or will someone with a 1 day waitlist get it?

I am new to DVC, got contract a few weeks ago... I am waitlisted for Oct 31-Nov 5th 2021 at OKW for a 1 bedroom. I had called originally to see since this would be my first trip being a new DVC owner if they could fit me in, but they couldn't so I am waitlisted. I'm assuming it will be a stretch in getting this approved since I am waitlisted for the full five days?

Waitlists are an exact match. They do not hold days, so if you need 4 and only 1 comes open, it goes to someone who is waitlisted for just that day.

If no one is, it goes back into inventory. That is why shorter waitlists have a better chance than longer ones.

The longer it is the harder it is, Keep watching the website and if any of your days open up, grab them and adjust the waitlist.

No. If your waitlist is for 4 days, then that is what has to match. If you end up with the 3 days, then you have to adjust the waitlist to just the 1 day you are missing.

Again, waitlists are an exact match. It does not matter what else you have booked..

It is important too that if you do get days you are waitlisted for by stalking, and don’t adjust the waitlist, and those days match, they will book all 4 days for you which means you could end up with duplicate nights.

That is wny you always want a waitlist to be for exactly what you want and need.

If you already have 3 of the days you need and are only needing 1 more then your waitlist should only be for 1 day not 4.

Stalking paid off!!! And the waitlist was failing me again lol. I was able to pick up the bay lake tower studio I needed for the night of sept 30-oct1! Still can’t believe the day was actually there! No we can wake up the morning of the 50th and walk over instead of relying on the buses from bcv so excited! Waitlists are cleared/canceled.....for now.

Had a waitlist come thru for standard studio BLT Aug. 31 after just placing it 3 days prior.
Of course, I have no problem getting a waitlist filled on borrowed points but heaven forbid trying to borrow the points myself and the system glitches with the dreaded 7 dwarfs realizing I’m a resale contract.

Got 9/5 in at BWV in a 1 bedroom! Now we get to stay in the same room for our entire trip!

Had waitlist come thru yesterday for BWV in August. DVC actually called me as I had adjusted, into a split stay, the original reservation I had selected to be replaced by the waitlist. The cast member wanted to see if I wanted to cancel both reservations and replace with the waitlisted boardwalk. Now I will be staying at BWV for the entire trip!

I'm trying to get a night at any studio for the 2nd-3rd and have also been stalking the booking tool hoping something popped up. What dime of day did you snag it? I saw some SSR 2BRs this morning but no studios.

Been most successful early in the mornings, not sure if it’s people canceling late at night or inventory being dropped back in but first thing in the morning I seem to see more openings. I actually saw a kidani sav view room pop up for the day you were looking for, just seeing your message now and it’s gone now, so I’ll hope you scooped it up
