***Official March 2021 Thread***

One week out and the kids still don’t know! If we don’t blow it we may just pull off the surprise visit.

I hope you record their reaction. It will be so fun!

Hello everyone. It will just be my daughter and I during this trip. My son unfortunately cannot go because his college will not be on spring break. Our dates are March 29th - April 3rd. We are staying at Riveria, off site for a couple of nights, and back onsite at Boardwalk. This trip we are visiting colleges and places to live for our move to Florida next year.

Got you added to the list. What a fun new adventure!

72 hours, 2 minutes and 54 seconds till we hit the road. I can hardly contain my excitement

You are SOOO close! My daughter and I are texting this morning about how we are both so ready to get away from everyday life and have some fun for a while. Even if it's crowded and we don't get to ride a lot, we will still be at Disney and on Vacation!

We are house hunting too!!!!!! I know I'm just daydreaming and my husband is appeasing me, but it will be fun to tour around with a realtor.

Does anyone have a good rope drop plan for MK? It’s the only park I’m struggling with since the hours changed. We do have a 7:30 reservation at the wave but with park opening at 8:00, that’s just going to be too late.

I’m afraid our only option is going to be to try and be early for the bus or miss the true early opening.

I don't know that my plan is "good" or original as it is what most people will likely do. Ha! We are planning on being at the bus stop early to catch the first bus to MK and then will head straight to SDMT and then over to Space Mountain and the other rides in Tomorrowland. On our second MK day we will likely do the same but instead of going to SM will head to BTMR.

If it were me, I would drop the Wave reservation as I would want to be at the park by 7a. Most reports have people entering 45m-1hr before with many attractions starting to run. I think you'd be safe with SDMT, SM and BTMR, but other attractions like Splash probably won't start running until 8a or later.

I agree. I would drop the ADR just so I could be there early when they let people in. Especially since it seems it is going to be fairly busy compared to the past several weeks. I would use that RD time to knock out a couple of the things that are some of the top priority things I wanted to do.

This is the way my DD and I look at it. We were there in July when it was almost empty and got to ride every ride and some multiple times. Had a great time. Went in October for a shorter trip but with bigger crowds. We didn't mind and went in with the mindset that we were wanting to see the Halloween cavalcades, Halloween decorations and try the Halloween snacks any rides that we went on were a bonus. Still had a great time. We will be there March 26-April 3 and know that it will be even more crowded than October. On the plus side, we have more days to visit the parks and it looks like the hours will be longer. We will also be where it's warm and in one of our favorite places to be. I have to say that I do love the not having to plan everything out as in the past and just going with the flow. 23 days but who's counting!!! :)

Yeah, I'm thinking that's where we are with it. Ugh. MK extending morning hours was the biggest wrinkle in our plans. I'm hoping buses are running early and that not a lot of other people feel the need to be waiting for one at 6:30am.

I switched to the contemporary because it looked busier. I like to walk over to MK and be in line early. We will go do SDMT first to get it done. I love this ride. Then we’ll do PP and see what’s happening with Splash and Railroad.

I've 100% considered moving our reservation to the Contemporary but it seems like a pricey change to avoid a bus ride. lol The only other rope drop that is really an issue is HS and I think we're just going to go and pay for parking at the Swan and walk over since our breakfast reservation at Tratorria al Forno is now also too late with the earlier opening.

So is anyone purchasing photopass? I'm trying to decide if I want to. With all the mask rules I'm trying to decide if it's worth it, especially if we wont get ride photos if a stranger in the picture has their mask on wrong. I am considering it just because who knows when we will take a girls trip like this again. Just trying to weigh the cost and see if it's worth it.

We always get it, but I'm not this time. While I'm ok with masks in the pics to one day look back on this crazy time, I don't feel the need to get "professional" pics with them LOL

Initially, I wasn't because I wasn't interested in a bunch of photos of us with masks on. Some friends of ours went in December and February and I thought their photos were really cute, even with the masks, so I changed my mind. I also figure -- this will be a memorable trip in the mask sense and years from now we can reflect on the uniqueness of this time in our lives.
