Have you ever been on a Segway?

I see Segway tours all over but have never tried one. Has anyone here done one? They look kind of fun to ride.

No....and I want to really bad.
I’ve been told that there’s a weight restriction which means my DH couldn’t ride on one, so I’ve never pursued doing it to avoid him being left out

Took a Segway tour of Downtown Las Vegas. It was a lot of fun. Too bad the company has ceased production. I guess the tour companies will keep doing them as long as they can keep the Segways working.

It really wasn't hard to learn to ride.

We were taught to get on and off leaning into a wall. That made it nearly impossible to fall getting on or off. They had a course setup that you had to master before they would take you out on the tour. It only took a few trips around the course which contained much sharper turns then we ever had to do out on the tour before everyone felt comfortable and the tour guides felt comfortable as well.

Many times - it's a easy and very fun! It's one of our favourite shore excursions when we're cruising.

Yes, at Fort Wilderness! It was a blast! I don’t have great balance but the instructor took the time to help everyone learn...with lots of practice before we headed out to the “wilderness”.

No. Looks fun but I am accident prone at time. When we went to San Francisco they had those tours all over the place but I need somewhere flat and straight or it is an accident waiting to happen .

I did, back when they had them in Innoventions in Epcot.

Yes, at WDW (Epcot). It was great. My late husband said it was the most fun he ever had at WDW. Our son was a teenager at the time and he‘s 34 now, so quite a while ago.

Yes, twice. A lot of fun and easy to maneuver!
Once at Epcot and once in Gulf State Park in Alabama.

Once you get the hang of it, they are really fun. We live in NH and my sister in law worked for Dean Kamen/Segway. When they first came out she got to take one home. We could have bought one for half price. Looking back I wish we did.

Twice and loved it both times! The Boston city tour we took was through the city traffic, which surprised me. The other tour we took was a shore excursion and they used the off-road segways, which were a lot of fun. We went up and down hills and visited a botanical park that had closed due to one of the hurricanes.
We always wanted to do the Epcot tour and were waiting for our son to reach the age limit, which I think was 15. He was just a year away when they quit doing them.

Have been on several Segways. Best ride was on the upper deck on the Disney magic when Iost control and crashed into a wall, fell, and could not stop laughing.

That's where I'm thinking of trying it at! Bummer that they don't make them anymore. I guess I better get that tour in soon...
