Baby Yoda Show season 2

I heard people didn't like the episode because it sort of a diversion from the main story. I liked the episode, the side quest was irreverent and the New Republic guys were interesting. Because the show gets to slow down and not jar the audience with something every five seconds, I felt it was immersive.

I recognized the spiders too, but not from Rebels. They're from old discarded concept art from Empire:

And because I haven't seen Rebels or Clone Wars, I had no clue who that certain character was in Episode 3 that made a surprise appearance.

This is why they were used on Rebels - that show mined the Ralph McQuarrie designs to get their look. Even the Ghost was an early idea for the Milennium Falcon. These spiders also appear in the video game Jedi: Fallen Order - and they are a nightmare!

It's Bo-Katan who you're talking about...the female Mandalorian with the fancy decorated helmet (the Starbuck lady from the newer Battle Star Galactica). The dark saber she's after is the same dark saber that Mof Gideon has...same dark saber that the head of Mandalore would hold sort of as a sceptre and would grant him/her the power to be the head Mandalorian over all of the bickering Mandalorian clans.
Yep, Katee Sackhoff, I remember her from Longmire too. I was surprised to learn she voiced herself on the animated show too! I knew from rumors that this was the case with Ashoka/Rosario Dawson, whom the show seems to be deliberately pacing things to save her appearance for later, it seems.

I love Cara Dune's character. My daughters think she's a total bad ***.
Agreed! Carl Weathers is also very cool. He even directed that last episode.

I knew the large purple alien was based off of an early Chewbacca, but didn't know about the Ghost/Falcon. Actually, I kept thinking the Ghost was based off of the Narcissus escape pod from ALIEN. It's very similar, only flipped backwards.

Some Star Wars crew worked on ALIEN (Roger Christian and Dan O'Bannon at least) yet Ron Cobb was the main concept artist on that film, and perhaps McQuarrie's work was an influence on him.
(Oh! Also in ALIEN, you'll see Kane holding a pistol while he's in the egg chamber...they use similar pistols in Star Wars. His pistol is almost identical to those used by the Death Troopers as well.)

There is definitely some crossover in the designers so it wouldn't surprise me.

So there's a chance.

I will say I thought there would be more with Boba Fett, though it could be they're just saving him for later. I'm presuming he was the figure who appeared over Ming-na Wen's corpse in the Gunslinger episode from Season One.

So everyone caught up? That last episode was pretty big. Interesting seeing Michael Biehn costar in this one too (Terminator, Aliens).

Waiting for Baby G to weild a lightsaber. I wonder if G be like a 25year old baby?
It's been established that he's 50 years old. There was a line that there would be transport for a 50 year old passenger or something like that.

You didn't catch up? That was Din Djarin on a dewback looking over her dead body.

I thought the hint was Boba Fett's armor being used. Temuera Morrison is in that episode.

This is from Season 1 Episode 5. Mando found her corpse while he was on a dewback (true), then he killed the bounty hunter, took off from Tattooine, and afterwards is when we see the mysterious figure walk up to Shand's body.

Morrison was in the end of Season 2 Episode 1.

Mando was definitely riding a dewback. It starts at about 25:50 in episode 5.

I revisited the scene you were talking about. Looks like it might be the same character, and it's also Tatooine.
