Have you ever done almost everything at MK in one day??

I was looking at some rope drop options and I think it’s possible. If you’ve done it, how’d you manage?

To better answer that question for you, we'll need some more information.

Are you going with kids? If so, what ages?
Do you want to do character meet and greets?
Will you be eating at sit-down restaurants or quick service only?
Which season/month are you (hoping) to go?

I would agree it depends what you consider everything.
And the time of year you are there.
There are times of the year when the park closes early vs open late or EMH.
We have done all the rides. With FP+, that has become easier if you manage it well. Getting 7DMT and PP as FPs is important as that will save you a lot of time. RD one land and do everything. We go to Space Mountain, then Buzz, then head to Jungle Cruise and Pirates.
We haven't done all the shows and skipped the parade, unless you count watching part of it.

If you can get FP to 7DMT and PP, as mentioned above, you can boot-scoot-boogie to Jungle Cruise, Aladdin's Carpets, Pirates, BTM, with almost no wait. Splash Mountain always seems to be the limiter there. The Lines App is brilliant at helping you make this happen.

we were planning to skip splash, speedway, barnstormer, magic carpets and enchanted tales. Weren't planning on any meet and greets (maybe one or two..). Hoping to go week before Christmas break, so crowds are high but the park is open earlier and later I believe. Definitely eating quick service. Not prioritizing parades or all shows, just country bears, philharmagic, tiki room and laugh floor.

That sounds possible. I would recommend going that Tuesday or Wednesday.

I remember going on a 10-day trip in early May 2008 and noted that we never waited more than 30 minutes the entire trip for any ride, even in the regular queues. The weather was gorgeous and I was able to do pretty much anything and everything I wanted without time constraints. I then had a break of quite a few years before going back to the parks again and, ever since then, not one visit has been anything like that. To have any chance of doing all the rides in one day at Magic Kingdom, or even close to all of the rides, requires some serious advanced planning taking full advantage of FastPasses, days with long open hours, rope drop, etc.

I was thinking I could rope drop BTMRR, Jungle and Pirates, and catch HM before the wait exceeds 30 minutes. Then have fastpasses for Pan, 7DMT, and Space, and then grab same-day fastpasses for the rest.
That sounds like a solid plan. Heading left at rope drop and getting those three out of the way before crowds start to build is similar to the plan I've had the best luck with over the past few years. If you can get fastpasses for those other three, that would be impressive, though, especially if you can get them all early enough that you have time the rest of the day to get your third one done and then start grabbing same-day passes for other rides. If you get stuck with one of those at like 7:30pm, that ruins the plan of having all day to get same-day passes for others and you're probably better off ditching that one for an earlier one.

I concur with others. I have done it before, but that was 10+ years ago... I think you could do it now if: the park isn't too busy; you utilize EMH; you go in with FP for 7DMT and PP (and probably a mountain of your choice); keep searching for FP throughout the day; stick to QS; be willing to skip some parades/shows if rides are the priority; and wear good shoes. Oh and load up on caffeine/sugar - it'll be a wild one!

We have done every open ride and show in MK in a day before, including Main Street Vehicles. We were two adults and did it during the week following Labor Day, so a very low crowd time. Arrived a little before rope drop and had FPs I think beginning around lunchtime. Took advantage of short lines early in the day and then made good use of additional FPs throughout the afternoon after using our first 3 (which I think were for SDMT, PP, and probably either Space or Splash). We chose a day we were attending a Halloween Party, to give us extra time, but we ended up getting through everything at least once before the official party start time.

Not I, but back in the days of GAC, my ILs did. They rave about the WDW trip where they rode every ride in Magic Kingdom because of the "front of the line pass" they got. My SO's stepsister is deaf, so they got it because of that.

Yes, we have been able to complete 'everything' in 1 day. Here was what our 'everything' consisted of.
  • Trip was in early September, right after the kids were back in school.
  • We arrived early, but not at rope drop.
  • My husband is not a coaster person so that takes a lot of wait time out of the equation.
  • We did shop, snack, eat lunch and dinner ( QS ) at the park.
  • We stopped to enjoy the Barbershop Quartet and the Marching Band.
  • We were on a ride so we only caught the tail end of the parade but if we had planned better we would have been able to see the whole parade.
  • We also stayed for fireworks.

I think the key for this trip was the lower crowds in September ( this was 2 years ago ).

Utilizing EMHs in the past we have done all of Adventure Land, Liberty Square, and Tomorrow Land in about 3 hours on our last trip in 2017. We hopped over to MK or if we had spent the full day there, we would have done most all resides and shows in one day. Not all characters and not all parades.

My cousin, my daughter, and I spent a full day in Magic Kingdom in April of 2016. We started with a pre-park opening breakfast at Be Our Guest (yuck!), followed by Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, and a meet and greet with Tiana. We took a short break for coffees and snacks at Starbucks followed by a train ride to Fantasyland. We met Minnie, Daisy, Goofy, and Donald at the circus, rode Barnstormer, met Ariel in her Grotto, rode the Little Mermaid ride, and met Anna and Elsa at the fairytale hall. We took another short break on the People Mover and Carousel of Progress. We then rode Space Mountain and Space Ranger Spin. We finished our day by watching the Main Street Electrical Parade and with a late dinner reservation at Cinderella's Table. We missed a few minor attractions like Country Bears and the Tiki Room, but we hit almost everything! It was honestly a bit much for one day!

With the current crowd levels it is highly unlikely even with the best rd plan. Even factoring in fast passes just makes it a mad scramble. Besides why would you want to? If it’s just to say you did fine but I see it as a waste and not being able to enjoy things or just rest for a moment. Plus we like to do some rides multiple times and have little interest in others. We would never trade a space mountain for it’s a small world or barnstormer.. just my take as you pay too much for a day to run around to do something nobody really cares about. Good luck if you try.

We didn't do everything. But on our MK day we did:
Haunted Mansion
Aladdin Magic Carpets
Big Thunder (2x)
Tea Cups
Barnstormer
Pirates
Peter Pan
Space Mountain
Carousel of Progress
Tiki Room
Philahmagic
Carousel
Winnie the Pooh
Seven Dwarves Mine Train
Small World
Happily Ever After firework show

This was on Jan 21. Crowds weren't awful. Around evening, crowds sort of dwindled. It was very cold, so I think that contributed. Some of the waits ended up being shorter than what the app stated. We also arrived at 9:30am (regular opening was 9am), so we did 2 rides before our first fastpass.

last October, on a party night we got 18 FPs during the day and rode/saw:
RD:
Space mountain twice
Buzz twice
Jungle Cruise

FP:
7DMT
PP
Haunted Mansion
Pirates
BTMRR
Splash Mountain
Its a Small World
PhilharMagic

Walked on
country Bear
Tomorrowland Speedway
mad Tea party

FP:
Enchanted Encounters with Belle, my son and I were picked as guards Nice pictures with Belle.
Little mermaid
Winnie the Poo
Standby
Monsters Inc Laugh
Peoplemover
Tiki Birds.

FP
Jungle Cruise
Dumbo
Magic Carpets
Haunted mansion
Pirates
Space Mountain
Mickey and Tinker Bell M&G

It was an amazing Sunday with low crowds.
I kept modifying FPs and was amazed at what we could get.

We had dinner at BoG, walked out and watched the entire stage show before we left.
Doesn't get much better.
