Worst meal experience?

No one likes to be the complainer.....but it can be helpful to new visitors.
What restaurant should someone skip? Or has been more bad than good?

Only restaurant we definitely won't return to is Cape May. We love seafood but dinner there was horrible--crab legs were cold and small with very little meat and everything else was about Golden Corral quality. Other than that, Boma was really good once and not good the second time, and 'Ohana was the same. Just about every other table service restaurant at Disney was passable or better.

The only two restaurants we won't go back to are Yachtsman Steakhouse and ABC Commissary. Yachtsman had terrible steaks and even worse service. ABC Commissary is the only restaurant we have ever thrown our meal away. Like others have said, it's subjective. Most people love Yachtsman.

Agree 100% as previous posters said that this is very subjective...

With that said a popular place that my wife refuses to go to is Columbia Harbor House. She is a big seafood person and we have gone there a couple times because of the lobster roll and other items she thought would be good. Unfortunately we had a couple of bad experiences there and have moved it to our avoid list.

Chef Mickeys - too chaotic and loud and messy.
Cape May - breakfast - we had odd service, and were underwhelmed by the food choices
O'hana we loved, but on our last trip it was just not good

Le cellier had been a firm favourite, but our last trip was our worst meal ever on property, bad food, appalling service. There are just too many other places to try to bother going back here.

Il Mulino. We’ve tried it three times because we love the original in NYC. We don’t expect the same caliber of food and service, but each of our experiences has been dismal - poor service, wrong or missing dishes, and mediocre food quality at best.

The one restaurant we have no interest in returning to is Tutto Italia. Bad service, so-so food at a prices 50+% more than our local Carabba's and Maggianos . Both of whom have better tasting food IMO. Since pasta at lunch doesn't appeal to us lunch isn't an option. There are restaurants we will do for lunch but not dinner. For example Mama Melrose and Rose & Crown . Won't go to either for dinner again. However we will go at lunch. Our dinner experiences had rushed service & lukewarm food. Lunch at both were completely different. Good to outstanding service and the food was wonderful.

Le Cellier- bad service, bad food, bad ambience (packed in like sardines)
Enzo’s Hideaway - food ok but service was terribly slow and not friendly.
Turf club - slow service and got food poisoning.

Because I wanted to be positive in my post:
Best choices:
Kona island - breakfast excellent, lunch/dinner consistent with pretty good sushi. Service always top notch.
Crew cup - reliable bar food, great atmosphere. Can get busy but service remains good.
Citricos- excellent food, service can be a bit hit or miss, relatively easy to get last minute.

Biggest surprise on our last trip:
Ale and compass breakfast buffet - we left VGF at 430 am for DHS rope drop. Left DHS ravenous around 830am. The buffet was excellent, service prompt and friendly, and all for 23$ per person. We will absolutely have breakfast here again!

Cosmic Ray's at MK. We got stuck there in the rain during the XMas party a couple of weeks ago and all I got was a kid's chicken nugget meal. It was AWFUL. Just awful.

And, like a previous poster said, Citricos is lovely for the meal portion, however, I found dessert to be abominable. I got a Creme Brulee and it was both burned on top and raw underneath.

Worst TS: Be Our Guest for lunch---Low quality, over-priced food two years in a row. I won't go back unless it's for dinner. Sci-Fi Dine-In is an honorable mention for worst. We had to wait 45 minutes past our reservation time. My husband's expensive burger was no better than a quick service burger. I liked my food, but we both disliked his burger.
Worst QS: Woody's Lunch Box for breakfast---Limited menu and our food was cold despite it being early in the morning. Lotus Blossom Cafe is an honorable mention for worst. The spicy chicken was ok, but the white rice is so bland. I wish you could switch up your side options or have fried rice instead.

Best TS: I know it gets a lot of hate because it's inconsistent, but we had a wonderful experience at Ohana for dinner last year. We can't wait to go back! The food is awesome and our server was outstanding.
Best QS: Tangierine Cafe in the Morocco pavilion. Zero complaints. The food is stellar! It's a must-do every trip. Polite Pig in Disney Springs is an honorable mention for best quick service. Huge portions and high quality food.

Our never agains are
- Mama Melrose, I got sick
- O'Hana, server ignored us
- Tony's, Mom said it was nasty

I like a lot of the places on most of the no go lists

Our must visits
- Crystal Palace, I'm an Eeyore-aholic and that's the only place to meet him
- Via Napoli
- Jiko
- Victoria & Albert's

Il Mulino. We’ve tried it three times because we love the original in NYC. We don’t expect the same caliber of food and service, but each of our experiences has been dismal - poor service, wrong or missing dishes, and mediocre food quality at best.
Thank You everyone here seems to just love IlMulino
The only time we ate we ordered Veal Parm & Chicken Parm.
The server couldn't tell us which was which
They were burnt and they only reason we didn't complain about them being burnt
was because the restaurant was so cold we just wanted to get outta there

my never again is Skipper Canteen. Food and service was awful. The whole family is in agreement. We used to like Sci Fi but the last 2 times were meh so that is off the list for awhile. We are trying to eat at different places each time we go, but ones we really like and seem to sneak there way in are the wave and grand Floridian cafe.

We just got back from a 8 night WDW trip. We did a Sci Fi meal and it was very disappointing. The food was blahh and they had the AC blowing. We asked if they could turn it down and she said they did not have control. She brought me hot water with lemon. I guess they don't have coffee?

We did the Storybook Dining at the Wilderness Lodge. It was good and I would do it again.

The last was Morocco. This was our favorite. Service was great. The Moroccan coffee was sooooooooooo good.

QS is Cosmic Rays. Made me wish for a McDonalds
TS Enzos Hideaway. Poor service small portions of mediocre food.

Now I haven't tried EVERY Disney TS but I've honestly never had a bad TS meal at Disney so there's nothing on my "never again" list. And if something wasn't quite right, it was rectified then and there.

Bad QS meals yes, but can't think of a single bad TS.
