The only thing haunting about the 70s is the music in the courtyard...maybe the foosball players come to life at night?
I think my TA requested 70s too. Oh dear.

It's probably just security doing a room check while you're asleep. Many people wake to the hangers moving. Some see a dark form in the room. Always near hangers. The form looks like a girl. Eek!

Pop is my favorite value resort. We are staying there for one night of fun before we check into the Yacht Club for 5 nights. For my budget trips Pop cannot be beat and the new rooms look amazing.

I was only in the 70s because I booked preferred, but the ONE thing I remember from that one night stay is the music in that courtyard. But I'd still stay there in a heartbeat if the price was right and I wasn't really interested in resort amenities

My daughter and I are doing a quick trip. So plan to be in the parks open til close and room is simply to sleep in.
I'm sure it will be fine and I am over thinking it!
I LOVE POP! But I have only stayed there for two solo trips. I think the room might seem a bit tight for my family of 3 adult size people though.
We've stayed at value, moderate, deluxe, SOG, and DVC on different trips. I love Pop! And we've had many stays in the 70's buildings and never seen a ghost. The newly renovated rooms just make it even better--the storage is better thought out and the beds were quite comfortable and DH enjoys the coffee maker. That was often a deal breaker on more than a night or two in the past.
The food court has a lot more choices than the deluxes--we usually don't like a big sit down meal for breakfast or dinner and being able to go to the food court on multiple days and still feel like it's not the same old thing is really nice. You'll have a great stay. We're trying Art of Animation in May but will be right across the bridge!
Pop is definitely one of my favorites. My top 5 would include Pop, WL, POFQ, BW and CR. I would consider my love evenly split between those resorts. I pick based on my budget and what the trip is for.
I have consistently had better bus service at Pop than at most deluxe resorts, and I really appreciate the designated bus queues. I think most of the food at the food court is fine (can you do better? Sure, a table service restaurant may be better, but I have had nothing bad there.). I have stayed in both the old rooms and the new refurbished ones, and I love the refurbished rooms. They have plenty of storage and the beds are very comfortable. My only big complaint is that they have gone to large shared toiletries and I do not trust them to be tamper proof, so now I have to bring my own.
I have read all the stories about Pop being haunted, but haven’t experienced anything paranormal. I lived in a house that was haunted when I was a kid, so I probably would be more inclined to notice. When you are around full body apparitions, and have things move or lights go on and off, it’s kind of hard to miss . . .
