Does anyone LOVE Pop?

Pop is my favorite value resort. We are staying there for one night of fun before we check into the Yacht Club for 5 nights. For my budget trips Pop cannot be beat and the new rooms look amazing.

Many people wake to the hangers moving. Some see a dark form in the room. Always near hangers. The form looks like a girl. Eek!

Okay I googled to find it .... pretty old, wonder if anything has happened since AoA opened???? IF there is any place that should be haunted it's the LM section of AoA and the main building. The years I stayed at POP in the 50's taking photos across the lake of that spooky spot. Maybe once it was done, the spirits contained themselves there.

It's probably just security doing a room check while you're asleep.

Spit my tea out. YES YES YES. I was actually quite shocked the few who reported this remained fairly calm. I would not have.

That makes me feel better. Thank you!

I think my TA requested 70s too. Oh dear.

I was only in the 70s because I booked preferred, but the ONE thing I remember from that one night stay is the music in that courtyard. But I'd still stay there in a heartbeat if the price was right and I wasn't really interested in resort amenities

Does music play in the courtyard all the time?
Can you hear it from the room?

My daughter and I are doing a quick trip. So plan to be in the parks open til close and room is simply to sleep in.
I'm sure it will be fine and I am over thinking it!

I LOVE POP! But I have only stayed there for two solo trips. I think the room might seem a bit tight for my family of 3 adult size people though.

I don't remember hearing it in the room, just when I opened the door. I prefer the decor of the 50s but the 70s will be fine.

We've stayed at value, moderate, deluxe, SOG, and DVC on different trips. I love Pop! And we've had many stays in the 70's buildings and never seen a ghost. :scared: The newly renovated rooms just make it even better--the storage is better thought out and the beds were quite comfortable and DH enjoys the coffee maker. That was often a deal breaker on more than a night or two in the past.

The food court has a lot more choices than the deluxes--we usually don't like a big sit down meal for breakfast or dinner and being able to go to the food court on multiple days and still feel like it's not the same old thing is really nice. You'll have a great stay. We're trying Art of Animation in May but will be right across the bridge!

When both my adult daughters and I went in Nov 2016, we stayed in AoA suite for that very reason. I was worried we would be cramped. The suite was perfect and 2 bathrooms for 3 adult women was priceless.
But I figured a smaller, cheaper room was fine for just 2 of us.

We've just booked POP for our ten-night stay next year and we're really excited. We don't plan on seeing much of our room so to spend very much more on it would be a waste for us. We stayed in ASMu a few weeks ago for our first trip and thought it was great. Utterly bonkers decor but suited our needs perfectly. There were groups of teenagers staying there which I've seen people commenting on these boards about, and they were a little overexcited but very well behaved and good-natured. We would have gone back there but all the All Stars are booked out for an event at the time we wanted to go, so we swapped to POP.

I never take too much notice of hotel reviews, so much of it is down to personal opinion and preference and what people prioritize when it comes to budgeting. Remember that even the Values are of a standard when it comes to Disney. Let us know how you get on!

That sounds reassuring. Thank you.

And I absolutely LOVE Art of Animation!!

Pop is definitely one of my favorites. My top 5 would include Pop, WL, POFQ, BW and CR. I would consider my love evenly split between those resorts. I pick based on my budget and what the trip is for.

I have consistently had better bus service at Pop than at most deluxe resorts, and I really appreciate the designated bus queues. I think most of the food at the food court is fine (can you do better? Sure, a table service restaurant may be better, but I have had nothing bad there.). I have stayed in both the old rooms and the new refurbished ones, and I love the refurbished rooms. They have plenty of storage and the beds are very comfortable. My only big complaint is that they have gone to large shared toiletries and I do not trust them to be tamper proof, so now I have to bring my own.

I have read all the stories about Pop being haunted, but haven’t experienced anything paranormal. I lived in a house that was haunted when I was a kid, so I probably would be more inclined to notice. When you are around full body apparitions, and have things move or lights go on and off, it’s kind of hard to miss . . .

I have also been in haunted homes and experienced all of that.
That is why I am hesitant about Pop. I feel like I am more sensitive to haunted things and really don't want that on vacation.

Even before the refurb I loved Pop! I prefer staying at one of the PO resorts, but when I go solo or want a cheaper trip I will not hesitate to stay at Pop. I was thoroughly impressed by the refurbished rooms, though! I did not feel like I was in a value resort when I was in my room. The updates are so modern and fresh, and the bed was super comfy!
The overall theming of the resort is adorable. I love the huge icons, especially the Rubik's Cube stairwell! I walk around a lot when I stay at Pop, just to check things out, and I see something different every trip. I also like walking over to AoA and checking out that resort. And I've had some of the most enthusiastic CMs at Pop! Love it. We're staying there this summer and I can't wait!
