** OPENING DAY PRICING 2018 Pt 3 September-December: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

I see some quotes for the Canadian cruises. Just curious how many of you are actually going to book one. It seems like it's either expensive or difficult to get to Quebec. Actually airfares are not bad from AZ, but the flights aren't great. Very time consuming multiple connections. I can be in Europe faster then I can get to Quebec. I looked at airfare from some of the East coast cities and it seemed pretty high.

Try flying into Montreal (YUL) and then taking the train to Quebec City. Might be easier -- Quebec's airport is tiny and not very well served.

for the 11/17 Magic, we CAN'T do OBB? only asking because if so, i thought it wasn't a blackout date. any idea on how much a kid was?
I don't think it's blocked, I just didn't have an available onboard booking to use for this cruise. I may try to rebook when I'm onboard in July. No idea about the kids though. I need two rooms for long cruises. My kids are BIG!!! Sorry, if I have the time, I may try to call in and find out for you, because I may be priced out.:(

12/22 Fantasy Western 2A, 5E, with ins and transfers no OBB $8,114.98

12/22 Fantasy western 2A , V, no ins, no transfer $14,963.78

OMG, please tell me your 5E transfers are transferring you from Europe or something! Is that really how much 2A costs??? We were hoping to get 4E for 3A and my jaw is on the floor. I thought picking it up immediately when available would make it a lot cheaper than 2017 current pricing. We may as well just book 2017. :(

This is current Christmas 2017 pricing for 2A. I just don't understand....

People want to cruise over Christmas. Supply and demand. What's not to understand?

I've seen you on here before, you are a bit abrupt. I'm going to chalk it up to "internet anonymity."

What I don't understand is that the Christmas cruise that is happening in 7months has nearly identical pricing to first day availability prices for 19 months from now. Typically, supply and demand drives the price up. Cruises increase in price over time. So why the 2017 and 2018 Christmas cruises are practically identical eludes me.

Regarding the Fantasy 12/22. This is 2 adults, the insurance is $571, taxes and fees $263 Transfers $140 r/t airport. Probably can get a better deal on insurance.

Not sure if it makes a difference, it is an aft cabin on deck 10 with an extended veranda.

Thank you so much! I misunderstood about the OBB. I'm may book now then rebook with obb on June 10. It's probably so high cause it's holiday sail, but if it's merry time it may be worth it

From a business standpoint, they clearly see they can get those rates, so why not start there? Not abrupt, just facts.

i am surprised too, especially since this years fantasy Christmas cruise is a castaway cay double dip. Next year just standard western

I feel the same about the VMT 7nt Western Carib., prices nearly the same as this November... I was so excited, and now I'm just disappointed. More because I know my husband and in-laws are expecting different.

Look at cruise fish and see what opening day prices are for Christmas 2017. This cruise may not have gone up in price that much because it started at the highest tier.I just booked Alaska sept 2017 which is less then the same dates sept 2018. Not all cruises go up in price especially cruises in the Fall. Some of the longer European cruises, Fantasy southerns and holiday cruises start super high and don't go up anymore. There's a limit to what people are people are willing to spend. If you start a cruise out at 13k for a family of four in an inside room. How can you raise the the price and still sell it? Cruise fish is a great tool to look at past prices and price increases.

P Magic 9/9/18 WBTA 5A 2A $4154.48 [2077.24/2077.24] no insurance, air, transfers, or gratuities; OBB

Reading the responses on the thread, I was beginning to think our TA might have mistyped one of the numbers because the total we got was so much lower than what I was seeing from everyone else. But the reservation form confirmed the numbers! :cool1:

We signed up for the placeholder booking on the Wonder last Thursday, when the person at the Future Cruise Desk told us that Disney had just announced the Fall '18 itineraries and told us we could book today (we just got Platinum status on our last cruise). Many kudos for Dorothy at DU for getting the booking done so quickly!

WBTA 2A cat 9c 3340.00 no OBB transfers or insurance.
I used my Obb for Sept Alaska. I'm hoping price doesn't go up so I can rebook it onboard in 4 months.
