2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

Getting excited for my September Trip. I have read that Food and Wine should be avoided on the weekends. We arrive on Sat, 9th and that afternoon plan to go to DHS. However Sunday am considering going to EPCOT at RD for Future World, heading into Food and Wine booths right when they open at 11AM and eating and drinking until we tire or crowds get really bad. How bad is bad for Sunday Food and Wine crowd?

Expect to stand in the longest line about 10 - 15 mins prior to reaching the cashier but most lines wont be like that

We just added a Labor Day trip to the mix, so it looks like we won't miss the festival this year after all! Aug. 31-Sept. 4...can't wait!
We will be there these exact dates too! This will be our first food and wine festival!

Happy birthday Marine! We inadvertently ended up at Disney for my husband's last Marine Corps ball in 2015. (We registered for W&D before he decided to retire.) We ate dinner at CA Grill on the Marine Corps birthday to celebrate. At least the food was better than any ball I've been to in his 20 years! LOL!

We had a great time the last time. It was just the 4 of us. This time it will be my inlaws and another family of 4 friends of ours. Possibly my sister and brother in law whom is also a retired Marine.

MarineFam, we are going to be there 11/8-11/13. My nephew is a Marine! The Marines' birthday is also my birthday. Semper Fi and thanks to you or your family member that serves.
That's great! Please Thank him for his service. It's a great time to go down there. We've enjoyed it and really looking forward to this trip

That's one thing we really need to figure out is where to eat on the Marine Corps Birthday. We live in Maine so we can have a Steak and Lobster Dinner before but I need to be thinking of the number of people too. We are going to try and get a solid number tonight....

How does everyone feel about ADRs at Epcot during F&W? This Nov will be our 3rd trip with the kids and 1st trip during F&W. We have never done an ADR at Epcot and I think the kids are finally old enough to start enjoying Epcot but I feel like we should take advantage of the booths while we are there. My kids are picky and not overly interested in meeting characters so I figure I can pick them up Fish and Chips while we sample at the booths. So what do you think, should I cancel my ADRs and wing it?

Besides the booths, there are Food and Wine events to consider, some occur a couple of times each week, while others are one and done. Information on these events will hopefully get released soon (probably in July).

However, if you do decide to keep the ADR, you might want to consider making it a "Eat to the Beat" ADR, which will give you a confirmed seat to one of the "Eat to the Beat" concerts with your ADR meal.

We still do a few ADRs during the F&W. After a few days, it gets tiring eating ALL our meals at the booths. So for a change we like to do a few ADRs so that we can actually sit down and get waited on for a change. But we don't do nearly as many ADRs as we might at other times of the year.

If you only have one day at Epcot I would pass on the ADR and focus on food booths. Or do an early breakfast reservation and do booths for lunch/dinner.

Well shoot. Starship was originally listed as in October and now they are in our dates. Darn. We've seen them twice already. Oh, and their site lists them as Sept 8-10.

I see that Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray is doing a private event in Fla on Nov 9. We're at F&W from Nov 2 - 11 so I guess there's a chance to catch them. If so I'll give them a big Babba Booey!

I picked up an Epcot ADR but that's because my family is adults who've never been to WDW and I have no idea if/when we'll get a chance to go back.

Hope you have a great time!

I'll warn you up front--you do wind up spending a lot of money, but the whole experience is so unique and fun, you'll get over the cost easily enough.

I just noticed Taylor Dane is in the line-up. She's not there during our dates, but I want to give her show a shout-out because she was fantastic in 2011.

I totally didn't expect to enjoy her show as much as I did. Awesome!
