>> Refillable Mug FAQ <<

I know purchasing a mug claims is will expire in 14 days or length of stay, but the dining plan verbiage says the mug will expire at midnight upon check-out.

I am interested in possibly booking an additional night for my upcoming trip at the beginning with deluxe dining. It may work out that I could really maximize the credits. I then have a 6 night stay within the same resort, no dining plan. Will I still be able to use the dining plan mugs for my other nights or is that "expire at midnight" accurate? The $210 dining cost, offset by $40 in mug savings really makes a dent when factoring savings.

The Rapid Refill system is completely separate from the reservation system so it has no way to know when your check out day is. Once it's activated it's good for 14 days.

You are planning on a different resort or different type room for your one night on Deluxe Dining, right? Otherwise, they will just link the two reservations and require that you buy the plan for all the nights of your stay.

Oh thank you, I did not know that would happen!

At this time, it would be a courtyard view for the 1 night with deluxe dining and 6 nights standard view no dining within the same resort. I would have tried to get one entire reservation in the same category, but it just is not open under the passholder rate. I will keep this in mind though for the future!

Do you mean when they finally took those handles off? Or when they went and put them back on?

Many here may see it as a "debacle" but so many more didn't notice. They either have never purchased the mugs with handles or just didn't care one way or another. Or maybe they noticed but were happy with the change. I know I was. Well, until they decided to order them with handles again.

The first time we ever used the mugs was last August right after the handles were removed. At the time we didn't know why it was such a big deal to people, it seemed easy enough to just get a cardboard carrier if you needed one. When we were back in December, we were surprised to see the handles had returned. And as soon as we used them, we understood. It was massively easier, to us, for the mugs to have handles on them. We felt it every time one of us went to refill the mugs for the both of us. We couldn't believe it made such a difference.

I'm sad that the handles are back! I love our new ones from last September with no handles. They fit SO MUCH BETTER in my car cupholders!

I miss the old ones from when we first went in the 90's. Resort specific and a lot bigger. My parents are still using these 20+ years later.

We have some from our first trips. I love them!!!

There used to be a choice of mug styles. Slim bases and the bigger round base. I wish there was a choice now, handle or handleless. I use my mugs almost every day, and those darn handles do not fit well in muy cup holder. I still use them, but a choice would be very nice.

They have the ones with the big round bases that don't fit in a regular cup holder.

They still have those? I made the mistake of choosing them the first time we bought the mugs, and never again! I use my POFQ fatty at home once in a blue moon. The poor thing has moved to the back of my Disney Mug cabinet. LOL!

They do...they don't use them all the time, but I do see them now and again. I think they are down to two from the original four.

Most of my handles broke off at home on my old cups anyway. I liked the handles at the park, and no handles when I go home :D

I haven't been to Disney for some time but I seem to remember when they started with the chip mugs that you could pay for however many days you were staying. is it now just one price?
