new magic bands

Thanks everyone.Mine shipped on the 28 and were received on the 3d,they came from davenport FL and they are the old ones. We have blue orange purple and yellow. I am an annual pass holder but still received the old one.

My red one shipped on the 30th and I got it today...it's the new style. I'm waiting on a second one (pink this time) to show up bc I'm doing a split stay, but I expect that one to be the new style as well. The pictures make them look really big, especially because I have tiny wrists, but I'm surprised by how lightweight and flexible they are. I'll probably still end up switching the puck to a keychain, because even though it's light, it does still feel too wide on my wrist.

I got my Magic Bands for our 1/28 trip to AKL yesterday and they are the new style. I am so excited I can barely contain myself. We haven't been in 2 years which is the longest stretch without the Mouse in 13 years.

I got the new version of bands as well. The new box is, well, a cost cutting move.

The outside is plain white cardboard. It is printed on the inside. I found it impossible to open without tearing up the inside.
Considering the old presentation, it's definitely a step down

Mine shows the original ones as well. I picked green too. So that is what is making me think we got the original ones, because that is what's pictured. But now I am second guessing that. Oh well, it really doesn't matter.

I believe the website still shows the old bands regardless of what type you get. They have yet to update the graphics and probably won't until they're only sending out new ones I suspect.

They look very much the same as the older ones except for the oval where the mickey head is. That part actually can be removed and placed in other bands or a key fob.

We check in on the 28th and got the new ones.

We got the new ones in the mail for our Jan 27th check in. I read on another thread that the 27th or after check in get new.

27th/28th seems to be the turning point.

I was the 26th and got the old band (in the wrong color) and when I asked to send the correct color I got the new band.

Green seems to have been an early color shortage.
