I am in the very early stages of planning our second family WDW trip (and excited to be doing so!) Our first stay was onsite in 2015 and I was able to get all the ADRs I had hoped to do relatively easily even with our large party of 9 plus an infant by splitting most of them into two separate reservations. We did CRT (for four only), BOG x2, Tusker House, H&V, Sci-Fi and Akershus. I want to keep the cost of this trip much lower than our first and staying offsite would help us a long way in doing so. This time we won't be bringing any extras, but we have a large family of seven. Two parents with five children with ages ranging from <1-10.
What is the process like for booking ADRs when staying offsite? As in how do they know you're 180 days out when there is no reservation linked in MDE? Have you been successful in getting the hard to score ADRs when staying offsite? Any particular tips when booking ADRs for an offsite stay? TIA!
