How are we going to use 70 snack credits on our next trip?

If you're going during F&G or F&W, make meals out of the samples when you go to Epcot.

Make sure you bring a suitcase that will have enough room in it to pack things to take home like already suggested. Popcorn, snack mixes, candy, etc.

I always use left over snack credits to bring a little bit of Disney back home...rice krispy treats, gummie candies, Mickey Cheese its, suckers, etc.

Not a bad idea if you get it "free" but if you pay for it, an awful idea. Vast majority of those items cost you less than the value of the snack credit

You didn't meantion ages of your travel party. Any young ones? My DS's preschool friend is part of a DVC family, they had tons of leftover snack credits and chose to purchase her bday treats for the preschool class with them!
(I'm glad she shared that with me, because I was blown away with the idea of purchasing $5 bags of gummies worms for entire class - haha)
So if a little one is in your group you could bank them for bday or holiday treat?
Gift co-workers / house sitters with the big krispy treats? Tea? Etc...?

I agree too, but if convenience is your goal, then indeed get the plan and don't worry about what is left.

Using snack credits are easy though. Look for hot, weary adults and tell them you have extra credits and want to buy them a cold drink. Look for crying little kids and tell their parents you have extra credits and want to buy them a Mickey bar. If you are at food and wine, look for drunken sailors and tell them you have extra credits and want to buy them a cup of coffee. If you are married, find your wife and buy her Chocolate!

Be a good deed Dis'er and spread the pixie dust. It makes your day and theirs, believe me.

We never come home with snacks nor do we have extra meals left. We see somebody and they become family for a meal.

If only we had a LOVE button on here like Facebook has! This is the best!

When is your trip? If it is during one of the festivals then you can use a ton of your snack credits at the kiosks.

I just wanted to mention that if your on property when there is food kiosks in epcot (are there never anymore?) you can use snack credits for the plates even if the are over $5. (I think the cutoff is $10). you didn't mention when your at WDW but 70 credits for that many people will not last long at epcot with food kiosks.

Am I the only one that thinks that 70 isn't really that big a number? It still breaks down to two snacks per person per night of your stay. A bottle of water and a Mickey bar per person per day. We use DDP all the time and almost never come home with snack credits, especially if we're there when it's hot.

I've had left overs every year, we just get a few travel bags to go to take home with whatever is left over. I know this time I splurged and got a few frappichinos. You get the venti ones. Thats six bucks a pop. Now I'll be getting one coffee a day now that I have more snacks to spare. I'm good with the extra snack credits as some places I had to settle for a cup cake I didn't really want anyway. I love the fact that you can go to downtown Disney and get a chocolate dipped Mickey rice crispy treat. I'm also going to grab a thing or two at the food and wine festival. I'm taking two people who have never been this year and it will be a new experience for me too.

If the park opens at 8AM we are long gone by the time it opens, when we come back for an afternoon break it is closed and never make it back to the hotel before it closes.

We always take a mid-day break so we're always in the lounge for the evening service. But yeah, it was a pain the day that we went to the MK Christmas week and the park opened at 7:00.

I probably wouldn't get the dining plan if we stayed CL because we plan on using a large percentage of our snack credits for breakfast (pastries, bagels, etc.). However you could easily use up a lot of snack credits at food kiosks during F&W or F&G festivals at Epcot (not sure when your trip is) and Starbucks.

I'd do a 1-2 extra 2 credit meals and use the snack credits to provide for the extra meal(s).

We're going to be drowning in snack credits on our next trip in August - SEVEN of us for TWO weeks...196 credits!! And 1 of our group is my little 3.5 yr old niece - there's not a chance she can eat 2 snacks a day on top of 2 full meals a day. PLUS, my two teens are fairly light eaters. Our family of 4 is used to sharing 1-2 snacks at a time...so 4 snacks in one sitting is a lot.

The last time we were there for 12 days, we went to extra effort to use up our snack credits from the beginning - and still ended the trip with a bunch leftover (which was nice for take-home treats).

I'm kinda excited about having a vacation of endless snacks....We don't drink pop/juice often so most of our QS drinks will be converted to sides...YAY!

It sounds like a lot to me, but we alewats bring our own water and we can't eat things like Mickey bars (the corn syrup is bad for DH and DS) or rice krispy treats (we're vegetarian and the gelatin doesn't work and there's the corn syrup issue again) so much of what people get isn't something we would get. So that part of the dining plan doesn't work for us.

That said, the Starbucks thing sounds nice. I'll have to throw that into calculations for next time lol. But it still leaves another snack.


But the issue this time is that they are doing the plan while staying concierge level, which supplies food and snacks and I believe water. In a way they are double paying and might end up seriously wasting a lot of what they are paying for.
