I assume you mean Feb 2017, not Feb 2014, but yes, you can still use it. The only issue would be the battery, but even that is only an issue for long-range functions like ride photos. For things where you touch it to something - park entry, hotel room entry, FP use - the battery isn't needed.

How do you replace the battery? We have some from Feb 2016 - I'm assuming they still work but if not.

My children used magic bands at Auntis in Aulani. Can these same bands be used in WDW? We would like to gift them to some friends.

This is that grey maybe area as I know the opposite is true but I'm not sure how the systems are connected or not. If these were WDW bands then gifting bands you had used would not work at WDW because you cannot transfer who they belong too.

It's probably best to assume that any previously used band is not reusable by anyone else and not gift them.

Do the bands through disney store ever go on sale? I know they arent crazy expensive but we've got until nov so if they regularly go on sale we will keep an eye out!

The best thing you can do if you take a trip every couple years or less is wait as long as you possibly can to get bands. While 95% of the features it does will work forever, the wireless half of the band has a battery that eventually dies and the only way to replace is get a new band and the only way to find out it's died is to ride a wdw ride and not get a picture from it automatically.

I have no clue about disneystore and sales, the bands just changed so it's possible they might try to get ride of the old style with a sale soon.

Anyone who is staying at a disney resort, if you haven't received your bands for an upcoming trip yet, you will be getting 2.0 bands now...

Anyone with a check in date of 1/27/2017 or later has been receiving 2.0 bands this week.

We check in on January 28th, just received our bands today and here is what we got. Regular visit at BWV, not AP holders

Only part that sucks is we had some magicmyband stickers made for us assuming original bands. Not that big a deal since they were free for booking through David's DVC rental

Did the link ever show up for you? It's not showing up for me either. I did the help chat tonight and of course was referred to Disney IT over the phone. Spent twenty minutes on hold and quit. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Maybe it's a glitch with the new band switchover? (Yes I know that shouldn't make much sense, but this is Disney IT...)

Yes, got it resolved! Chat was also unable to help me and referred me to IT. It took about 10 minutes to get through, but she was quickly able to help. She just unlinked my reservations and then relinked them and the magicband order appeared.

Maybe you could unlink and relink your ressie on your own and have the magicbands show up? Worth a try I guess!

ETA that you can't unlink from our end but by calling so late, I got right on with an IT guy who was super awesome and unlinked/relinked the reservation and waited (and chatted) while I customized the bands from my end to make sure it worked. Which it did!

I have a January 29th check in. Today I received the 2.0 MagicBands in Incredibles packaging. We have a split stay, so awaiting the second set of bands to see what I get! (Just regular resort guest, no AP)

Based on other posts I may guessing this is the norm now.

I was the same way, it was seeing them and seeing how small the keychains would really be that changed my mind. then getting to touch one I was very thrilled in the change.

I also can see where this might be causing some problems especially for little arms.

They don't come from florida. You should have a tracking number to know where they are. 7 days ago it was the post holiday mailing and they come the slowest usps method for a package so they take a little longer than most packages might. Call next week if your concerned as that is enough time for disney to customize and send them to the resort to be picked up.

Any idea if they are selling the assessories yet for the Magicbands 2 yet in Disney Springs? My husband is excited to not have to wear it around his wrist and we'll be down at DS in two weeks (& then back for our family vacation in March).

nobody has reported seeing them but now that resorts are getting 2.0 bands I would guess near 1/27 which is when the first 2.0 resort guests will be on site, disney will have lots to sell everyone hit the shelves all over the place.

I haven't seen any reports from international guests (who don't get magic bands shipped) picking up 2.0 at resort check in. Is this happening yet? We arrive from Canada On the 14th. Curious as to what we will get.

They actually ship from the same place customized to the resort so I would assume if your checking in 1/27 or later you should get them but I'm curious to find out if that is the case. I also don't know if they ship them out in the same time frame as I know if you book a trip within a month (after the normal shipping date) but with 2 weeks left they will still customize and ship to the resort as well so there is a good chance you might be seeing them.
