We don't know yet. It has been traditionally that way, but it looks like there will be some changes this year.

Hi!
Do yo know if this mean that last year if you checked in on 11/21 (the Monday before Thanksgiving) that you would get free dining for your whole vacation? We've never had free dining, our 2013 trip we got a great room only discount and we didn't get any discount for for Thanksgiving 2015 trip. We're planning on going for Thanksgiving this year/ 2017 and would love to be able to get any kind of discount!

When we have utilized this, the policy was that your arrival day must be within the dates. As long as you arrive before the black out begins, you are eligible.

It looks like the black out dates might be further out this time, so it is anyone's guess if your time will be available. It just depends on what Disney chooses to do with the dates.

We have arrived the Friday before Thanksgiving three times and taken advantage of this deal in the past.

That check-in date was blacked out this past year. FD dates this past year in November were 11/15-11/21 and 11/26-11/28. Your check-in date also includes part of "Jersey Week" (11/6-11/12), which has been blacked out in the past.

Does anyone know around what time this offer was released last year? We're going over Thanksgiving for the first time this year and I already saw the BB offer doesn't include these dates. So now just hoping for a FD offer! Just want to know around when to start to keep an eye out!

FD dropped last year on April 25.

There is usually a thread watching for FD here or on the Restaurant section under the Disney Dining Plan; one should get going in the next few weeks.

Ok just checked those dates on mousesavers, and one last question, ha! So it looks like for last year at least, the blackout dates for Thanksgiving week started the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. If our package starts a few days prior, would we be able to get the FD for our entire stay? Or just for the dates before the blackout starts? I understand this is all hypothetical since nothing's been announced... Just gathering info!

As long as your check in day is included in the free dining promotion, you will get it for your entire trip, up to 10 days I think.

Family trip, 5 adults, 3 kids and an infant. We were originally looking at late August or early September but the timing of the new baby's birth will probably push it to November. I am now looking at the week just prior to thanksgiving week. We will also be going to sea world & Universal (free as DD works both places). If free dining starts midweek again, I'm thinking we could do a room only for the first few nights and do the offsite stuff where we'd be paying for food anyway & then have free dining for the rest of the trip.

I think you get the free dining for up to 14 days, but I'm not positive on that. I did book a 14 day free dining bounce back once though! Hth!

So... I'm trying to book for Nov.... Nov 5 - 11th wouldn't be a good idea if you were hoping for FD? I'm trying to hit the end of F&W at Epcot too. Advice?

I have a FD question. The last time we received free dining we arrived on the 2nd to the last day but since we checked in during the promo we received it the whole trip.
I heard this is no longer the case...here is my confusion. Hope someone could help clear it up.
If my trip extends beyond the promo I have to pay for those extended days...correct?
What if my trip is the 9th to the 15th and free dining starts on the 10th?
