1) How else can Ogre (I mean Iger) brag that attendance is down, but sales/profits are up at the parks?
2) There are two basic reasons . . .
. . . Fast Pass can schedule your rides throughout the entire day, so you spend more time shopping than waiting in a ride-line
. . . Eatery prices are way-way-way up, letting people (incorrectly) feel that DDP is a good price
3) And people thought advance-FP and DDP was for the guest's benefit !

NOTE:
Fast Pass keeps guests walking around so they go into stores - when in stores, they likely see something they "need' or the kids "want".
When people buy DDP, WDW can raise eatery prices over-and-over-again, by raising DDP without people noticing.
WDW is not dumb, and they rely upon people not noticing and/or nor caring.
Dare we mention that P.T.Barnum descendants probably work at WDW.
 
Has anyone noticed if prices do go up for the summer months? And if so what that premium has roughly been? We might be going in late August next year, and wondered if at that time the buffet prices will be higher than what is listed on page 1.
 


two quick questions, confirming the way I read the thread:

CRT includes tax and tip, so we won't be tipping or should we still?
Does this have a 24hr cancel policy as well or is it more?
 
Are the prices listed back on the first page (updated on 11/24) the prices for Xmas season? We will be at the Xmas party on Dec 18th and was thinking of Crystal Palace. We are a party of 6 adults

1) Sounds like a plan.
2) But, after a while, the cost can get prohibitive.
3) It is a lot of money for a buffet meal.
 
Thank you so much for this thread, we have used it many times over this past year! I do have a question, this is our first time paying OP for dining at Christmas. When do the Christmas prices take effect. Our trip is the 17-23rd.

1) Price increases take effect on the dates listed.
2) If no increase listed by your trip dates, the price remains the same.
3) As far as Christmas, with the exception of the actual holiday, prices usually don't change.
4) WDW has pretty much stopped "holiday" and "prime time" food increases.

We are going in October( yes that's forever away) what character shows/dinners should we make sure to do? We are doing the 4 day park ticket! We might take a day in between to visit a beach! Anyways, anyone have any great info for us?
 
Rusty, not sure if it has been asked or not, but is the aycte Patriot's Platter at LTT the same price for lunch as it is for dinner? I haven't seen the lunch price published anywhere.
 
Is there any reason CRT dinner on 12/8 should have a higher price? I just changed my reservation to include one more person and instead of the $76 they charged me $94. She said the prices increased but I can't find any evidence of that! And since I did it over the phone, I can't find a receipt to explain the cost. A couple of dollars I could handle but this was almost $20!

Looks like I had made the reservation prior to a price increase, and when I added a guest to the reservation they charged me the difference between what I had paid and the current price for everyone on the reservation. I didn't have the time to push back about it, but good to know for the future since I didn't realize they would do that!
