You need to have the cast member call the cast reservation line to check for you.

Hi! My sister just accepted a position in the college program beginning in January. We are looking to book a trip in mid-February and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about doing that. Here are my questions:
1. When will she be able to book a reservation for us using the F&F discount?
2. How difficult will it be to get a reservation less than a month out if we aren't able to make our reservations until she gets there?
3. I keep seeing everyone talk about calling back for additional discounts... what does this mean? Do you simple call the reservation line and ask if there are any additional discounts they can give once you make your reservation?
4. What is the best way to go about purchasing park tickets using her discount?
5. ANY other additional info would be GREATLY appreciated! I'm trying to learn as much as possible before we make any decisions. Thanks!

1. When she gets her perner #. My timing may be a bit off, but I believe it's during training in her info packet. It won't be before she starts.
2. If you aren't picky you should be able to find something. It may be at one of the more expensive resorts, but there should be something. You could make a normal reservation in the mean time with the winter discounts that are out now as a backup.
3. Sometimes there will be additional discounts released for CM and FF reservations. The traditional rates are 50% off for the CM and 40% for FF. At times, as the dates get closer, the rates will go up to 60% for the CM and 50% for FF and sometimes a dining discount as well. After the CM makes your reservation you can call and check on different resort availability or additional discounts yourself.

It is hard to say. You just have to keep calling to see if anything is available. It will show up on the HUB. Right now the cast holiday discount is out for Oct.17th to February 5th. I wouldn't expect anything again until after Spring break time.

You could call 100x and you'll never get the same CM twice. You aren't bothering anyone.

Thank you bith. I always forget there are so many cms and chances of talking to the same one twice are close to nothing. We are going mid May. I will wait until January to start trying.

I would wait until the current offer expires to start calling. They don't offer the extra all that often. With Easter being late this year, I wouldn't look for your dates until after Easter. Also, the extra discounts are available at very few resorts. Keep in mind you may have to switch resorts. Just like any public discount you may not be able to just apply the additional discount to your room, though it has only happened to me twice that I switched resorts to get my 60%! I hope it works for you, it is nice when it does. I couldn't get it for my December trip,didn't want to change resorts,but got it for the 3 rooms I had booked for January.

No, they don't need to be there at check-in because the F&F discount is available to many kinds of Disney employees, for example those who work at the headquarters studios in Burbank, who can book your F&F room at WDW on your behalf. The employee credentials are verified separately from your arrival.

I don't know the answer for sure but I would guess no, you can't keep the discount if the employment has ended.

The cast member will have to fax a copy of their ID, front and back, to the resort 10 days before your arrival. The cast member will have to be current in order for you to get the discount. If the CP is over you are unable to use the discount and will be charged full rack rate at check in.

The rules never seem to match up. Have friends/family and they have different rules. One has to go "check in" with in a week of us checking in. The discounts also don't always make sense either

Has anyone reserved "preferred" room locations via f&f??
Pref at POR.
My friend is looking into it for me and every possible location is popping up except preferred so we are not sure if they are booked or not available period.

They are probably all booked. I booked one for my nephew in April when the rates first came out for 2017.
