Thank-you so much for all of your help! I started reading through the FAQ yesterday but my 3 year old didn't let me get very far! I will try to read through more of it today. There isn't a USB port, but there are several mains sockets that you can plug your regular charger into (including by the beside table).
As it says in FAQ on the first page, do both. Call in advance to make sure your two bookings are set up as linked continuing reservations, and you can also add any requests at that point too. However all that does is add notes your your file on the system, so about 3-5 days before arrival it's worth sending a fax (which goes directly to the resort's room allocation team) explaining that you'd really like the same room for the whole stay if possible, and reminding them about any other requests you might have.

Does anyone know if there is a usb charging port in the room? I have an external charger that I will need to plug in at night. Thanks!

I don't want to bring my laptop just to use as USB port connection.
Question... are the two buildings with royal rooms.. do they have any non royal rooms? I have a royal brother does not but I want to be close if not same building if possible
I was afraid of that! Thanks! No, those buildings are all Royal rooms.
So I asked this in it's own thread, but there has been no answer.
Do you know what the Resort gift shop specials are? One year it was spend $30 and you can buy this Mickey blanket for $? I think one time it was a little Disney suitcase. Are there still specials like this? Maybe this was at Disneyland, but I thought I remember certain resort gift shop specials at POR and other locations? I guess I'll find out soon.

You can see the categories / room numbers here:Hello Gang,
I'll be honest, I have not had time to search or really read this thread yet so forgive me if my question has been answered
I am basically trying to see if there is a way to HELP assure connecting rooms by paying for "Royal".
I assume I have a better chance since I know 100% they will be located in one of two buildings BUT can anyone assist me in a breakdown of what rooms might or might not fall into different categories??
For example, room numbers ___ to ___ are Royal Pool view and so on. This would really assist because I could see if one "view" is more limited and give me a higher chance of being connected, or at least close to each other. TIA
I was just on the WDW website checking out photos of preferred rooms and there seems to be two different types of decor. One has upholstered chairs at the small table and one has rustic chairs. Due to back issues, I like to know what kind of chair I'll be getting. What rooms have the higher back upholstered chairs? They look more like they are in Magnolia Bend but no preferred rooms are located there per the map.
The photos on the WDW site are notoriously wrong, outdated, etc. Here is a 360 degree view of a room in the Alligator Bayou section.

Oak Manor is Royal Rooms, and the building next to it, Magnolia Terrace is regular rooms. So you could get rooms fairly close to each other. Have a look at the resort map on pg 1.Question... are the two buildings with royal rooms.. do they have any non royal rooms?
