Yes! I went to CBR, and loved it!

We just returned from a 6 night stay at CBR and loved every minute of it! We were in an Aruba corner room on the second floor of building 55. Can't say enough about how quiet and relaxing it was. That being said, I know, I know...it's so big. So what? Don't stay there if you think the size is going to somehow effect your enjoyment.

Other thoughts, mostly random...

I have seen on the boards people saying that Disney has "lost a step", that they are not as clean, the cast members weren't not as efficient, and so on. Honestly, I just didn't see it. This was our first trip in 7 years. We were very pleased with cast member responsiveness, park conditions, and basically everything we else we came in contact with.

We were able to get the Free Dining promotion and it was great. This is my second time of using free dining, and I know there are those that feel it's not a good deal. You are entitled to your opinion, but I really felt like we got a great deal on this vacation. Every one of our table service meals were between 120.00 and 150.00 for a family of 3. I don't know about you, but for me, that's a lot of money. We ate at the following places for TS:

Sci-Fi Dine-In
Liberty Tree Tavern
Whispering Canyon Cafe
O'hana for breakfast
O'hana for dinner
Chef Mickey

DW and I both had the steak at Sci-Fi and it was great! Liberty Tree Tavern was delicious but, I was a little overheated that day and did not have much of an appetite. Whispering Canyon is one of my favorite places to eat, and this trip was no exception! Great food, service, and fun! O'Hana for breakfast was good as it always was, but it is just pretty standard breakfast fare and it's hard to go wrong. But, O'hana for dinner? OUTSTANDING! I have always wanted to eat there, and was not the least bit disappointed. It was so good, and plentiful, and fun.....just a great experience. My DS was enjoying character interaction much more that I ever anticipated he would. So, we changed our Friday TS ressie to Chef Mickey. I have eaten dinner there one other time and was not impressed at all. This time we had the Brunch, and it was much better! My one take away from the dining plan is that really, it's too much food! LOL My only comment on quick service is that we had breakfast at Be Our Guest for breakfast. The restaurant is beatuful no doubt. But, had we not been on Free Dining, I would not have paid that amount of money for a QS meal. It was quite unexciting, and not worth the 75 bucks we would have paid out of pocket. Disney needs to rethink that price point in my opinion.

Star Wars Galactic Spectacular is a great new show! Don't miss it. But, scheduled right on top of Fantasmic is an issue. We were watching Fantasmic when we were interrupted by the sounds of the GS fireworks. It was very distracting. I hope something can be worked out about this.

We caught one of the final editions of the Main Street Electrical Parade. Sorry to see this classic go away.

Wishes is fantastic, of course. Stake your spot early!

Illuminations continues to be my favorite night time show. We caught it twice. First from the Future World side next to the Port of Entry store. A couple of days later from World Showcase.

Speaking of the WS, we had a great time our last night at Disney. We went back to EPCOT, with our 12 remaining Snack Credits in tow, and pigged out at the Food and Wine Festival! What a cool use of Snacks. We walked around trying all kinds of stuff, then stayed for Illuminations. It was a great way to wrap up our trip.

Fast Pass+ worked out well for us. I don't know why anyone wouldn't use it. We have FP's for all the big attractions with the exception of Frozen. We caught that at rope drop for Extra Magic Hours. It was rather comical as this sea of humanity headed directly to Norway. My DW was putting on her make up as we walked there. At 8:23 in the morning, the ling queue was full, but we only had about a 15 min wait. My thoughts are simple: very nice ride, way too short. I loved what they did with the Ice Palace, but there is so much more to story that they totally ignored. It could have been a bit longer had they included some of that.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was great too! It is a kiddie coaster, so realize that going in, but a very fun ride with great animatronics.

All in all, this was an amazing vacation, low crowds, nice resort, too much food, and lots of family fun!
We are already planning a return trip to Fort Wilderness next year. We love it there. If you have questions about anything, just let me know. Good times!

Ditto!!!!! My family and I have been to WDW for 16 of the last 18 years and we've stayed at CBR every single time. Fell in love our first trip and never looked back. I can honestly say that this was my first true love....as the girl I thought was my first love squashed that in 5th grade!

Glad to hear that you had a great time!

We really did love it there. My only regret is not scheduling in a little more "resort time". I'm usually pretty adamant about doing that.

Oh yes! On our last visit, we spent two days just playing at the resort. Love the pool and the surrey bikes! It is tough...you have the Disney Theme Parks or the Resort? UHHH - theme parks!!!!!

We have stayed at everything from value to deluxe, and CBR is by far my favorite resort. For my family of five, it also happens to be one of the cheapest options for a room. Their themed food in the Old Port Royal is probably the best food I have had on property, signature restaurants included. Glad you had a great time!

We too are lovers of CBR (DS got mad when we did 2 nights after a DCL cruise for his bday in December 2014 and I booked AoA because it was $30 cheaper and thought he might like to try a new resort.....I almost didn't hear the end of it.....he started in as soon as we pulled up "why aren't we staying at Caribbean Beach? I want to stay there!"
We just got back from Oct 8-15th and we did a split stay Polynesian (for my bday) and AKL. Deluxe was wonderful, but we would still go back to CBR if we didn't want to spend that kind of $$. This was our first trip since Dec. 2014 (We did June 2013, March 2014, December 2014, so 3 in 18 months time) and during those trips we'd noticed a large decline in upkeep/magical personalities of CMs. I'll have to say, WDW has gotten their act together and gotten everyone back on the same page now....we had nothing but an amazing experience. No rude CMs, parks cleaner, etc. this time around....even quite a few instances of extra "pixie dust" and magic. This was by far our best trip ever and I almost cancelled to save money since we'd bought a vacation property this past summer. I'm so glad I dropped our DxDP, cancelled some ADRs, found the deal on AKL and did split stay to save another $1000 and just made it work because it was my birthday and I was gonna spend it in WDW, because this trip really renewed our faith in the world of mouse.
Glad you found your trip to reflect the same conditions!!

I have always wanted to stay at the Poly! It is probably my favorite resort, and the food there is amazing. O'hana is just the best, in my opinion. We stopped by AoA for a lunch in the food court on one of our days, and honestly, I was rather disappointed in the whole place. The food in the food court was just okay, the pool area in "real life" was not nearly as exciting as the pics and movies I have seen. We have stayed at ASM many times and love it there. If I were to go for another value, that would be the place. Thanks for the input!

Great to hear! We stayed at CBR on our 2nd trip, last November/December, and enjoyed it. We went all deluxe on our trip last month, but hoping to take my youngest back next summer for a mommy/son trip and we're booked at CBR again! :)

Hello how are the buses there thanks

So happy to hear this! We are staying for the first time- one night only- this week. What shouldn't we miss? Not doing parks, just enjoying the resort.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier! Hope you guys had a great time. I'm interested in your take on CBR. I am in the early planning stages for our next trip. We are leaning toward a Fort Wilderness camping experience. We love it there. But, still open to anything.

We had a great time! We loved the resort, and were very happy we got a preferred room- the place is huge. We had a little trouble as we had to walk from where the DME dropped us off to our room, and it was confusing not knowing the buildings- which all have several sets of stairs. Next time I would use bell services for sure.
The pool was a hit- my son played there for hours. It was , surprisingly, quite crowded, with lots of younger kids. We loved the food court, too, but the grab and go line in the morning was about 20 people long- only one register checking people out, and many had a lot of items.
I would definitely rate this higher than Coronado, as a preferred room here gets you near the main pool and dining options- a big plus for us. Our preferred CS room was very far away from our room.
Since we were only there for one night, and had dinner plans at Boma, we missed the campfire, but we saw them setting it up. After dinner I wanted to check out the shop so we went there, and were surprised to see fireworks pretty close. The night movie was playing, too.
One bit of info I wish we knew- we asked Concierge, near the food court, where our Alamo shuttle would pick us up and they said right there where the Mears shuttle comes. This is not the place- it is the other building where DME drops off. So we had a very long walk pulling suitcases over there. Never once saw any transportation to take us around the resort- and believe me, I looked for it. Alamo people had also said outside at Concierge, but there are two!
