F&W Festival Passports..... so disappointed

They don't have the stamps anymore, now you have to put your own stickers in! Ridiculous. The whole point of the stamp is because the book is a PASSPORT. As you move from country to country, you get a STAMP. Like when you actually travel. When you go on a trip somewhere, they don't give you a sticker at the airport when you leave and say, "when you get to your destination and go through customs, put this sticker in your passport". SMH.

I suppose it's to trim the wait times in the lines down but really, was it that cumbersome to just put a stamp in a book? :( It just seems that Disney continues to take away all the details that made coming to Disney so special.

We are AP holders, and we love Disney, so we aren't ones to complain. But the dumbing down of the food in general and these little things like the stamps are things that really, really make us sad.

So do the kiosks give you the stickers? Sounds pretty dumb. I hope they aren't selling the stickers. That would put and end to the passport fun for us.

I like the change, I would forget to ask for the stamp half the time, and this has to at least cut down on lines a little. It's still a free fun addition, and a few years ago we didn't even have passports, so I don't see this a cutback.

We've been to the F&WF quite a few times, but never bothered with the passports - where do you get them?

This is one change I like. We grabbed some books the other day and my daughters said "stickers!" They were really happy about it.

I was too, getting stamps was a pain and ate up a lot of time.

I also LOVE the change of not needing to check in each day to get the passholder tumblers. They simply read your magic band after day 3 and know you already have been in the park 3 days and hand you a tumbler. No more bringing back a book or anything.

I do predict they go through a LOT more books now, my girls took half a dozen each for the stickers lol

I liked the stamps however the stamps creates so many problems. I can't tell you how many times I would be next in line and then some kid would cut then entire line because they wanted their stamp. Then after that became a huge problem they moved the stamp to the food pick up area. Again kids (and some adults) rushing up to ththe expediter wanting stamps while others were waiting for their food.

This year with the stickers it was noticible that people were hovering around the expediter or skipping the line at the register because there was no reason to.

Sounds like a good free activity for our DS who loves stickers......
This will actually work during our November trip too! My niece and nephew are going with us on this trip..............now they'll have something to add to the fun while we tour the countries!:D

This one goes in the category of :confused3:confused3:confused3,not really a biggie deal either way.I had some down time waiting for a Starship show yesterday and I put all the stickers in their spot in the passport ,it was a fun way to spend 4-5 minutes. In all the years I've been coming to the festival I think only once did I bother to go from country to get the passport stamped, and it wasn't like I was buying the food either, the prices have just gotten too high to try more than a few things.Hey at least I did get my AP tumbler glass yesterday, for many years they didn't really give out anything so it was cool to get something pretty nice.

I like the stickers. I was able to jump in line and get whatever food we all wanted and nobody else had to clog up the line just to get a stamp.. I think it's rather kid friendly as it's another activity they can do to entertain themselves where you don't feel obligated to buy anything.
