^My sister and Father meeting some gents from the Deadliest Catch in Norway. They used to do things like this pretty often in the late 00's

OMG - I love this thread!

So many memories coming back to me, and I am realizing that I do have experienced a lot even though I only have been coming to WDW since 2005. :smickey:

Welcome to the DISBoards!

I am very glad you have enjoyed this thread.
Great to see some new folks can still find it after the move to this section of the boards.

Thanks to everyone who shared their memories. As I have said before, if it were not for all the other contributors this thread would be very bare with just my pictures.

Thanks to everyone,

While I'm looking forward to Avatarland, I'm still a bit sad that Camp Minnie Mickey is no longer around. Especially since it was one of the easier locations to find other animal characters (Thumper and Miss Bunny from Bambi). And ever since that got demolished and the dance party at Dinoland is gone. Those two only show up randomly.

Funny you mention that, back in Nov. '14 we were leaving AK about one hour before closing & out front where Rafiki would meet as you enter the park, there was Thumper & Miss Bunny with literally zero line. I don't think my kids appreciated enough how lucky they were to get this random encounter but it was pretty awesome. Not sure how frequently they are there at the end of the day.
