Magical EBTA 2017

Is anyone planning on staying onboard for the 7 night Northern capitals cruise? We just booked it!

Watching the Port Canaveral web cam to wish the Magic a pleasant sailing on this year's transatlantic. Next year it's our turn!

Any chance of a meeting in WDW the night before, just to begin getting to know some other passengers?

Candy Exchange interest (no need to send info at this time)

Elaine and DD(20) Leigh joining you from Washington, DC with my Mom, Patsy from Florida. We are taking a 3 generation Mother/Daughter trip. The timing is perfect, right after Leigh finishes college for the year. Younger kids stay home with Dad to finish high school finals. What a great DH to let the gals go!

Welcome. We live in Woodbridge, VA. Hope we get to meet you.

We are planning to stay in WDW the night before the cruise, but haven't booked a hotel reservation yet. I need to decide where we want to stay!

Just booked this one today. Very excited!! Max & Linda from Texas. We've sailed out of Galveston on the Wonder twice and were looking for a different destination this time. The 15 day transatlantic sounded right up our alley... longer cruise with plenty of ship time, and interesting ports we've never visited. Glad to see some TA veterans here. Not knowing what the airfare would be scared me a bit though. I called Disney today to ask if they had an airfare add-on package and they did. It didn't seem to be anywhere near as much as what I could find online now. They're getting us from TX to Orlando and then from Copenhagen back to TX including transfers for $2400 for the two of us. Does that sound reasonable? I do like the ease of calling Disney and they put everything together, cruise, flight, insurance, and tips. Done! Just don't want to pay too much for the convenience, so I'll check with you veterans on that flight cost. Now to just pay for it all and save for a few excursions, although we usually just do those on our own. Will be watching here for some tips on that! Looking forward to visiting with all of you here over the next 11+ months.

$1200PP is a decent price, including the TX-MCO leg, which I assume would cost $200 or so. $1K in June from CPH-TX is an OK price. It's possible you could piece it together yourself with a low cost carrier like Icelandair or Norwegian air, but to get to TX, I bet the most you would save is $200PP. Just insist that they fly you in the day prior-there is a post about a family who used DCL Air and missed the ship. They werwe able to get on in Boston, but next year, it's straight over to Europe.

Thanks for the reply! I *thought* it sounded okay, but it helps hearing from those more experienced with this type of travel. We didn't talk flight times yet... guessing that comes as we get closer. I *like* the flying in the day before idea!!! Missing the boat is not a vacation experience I want to add to my memories. LOL On the 2 cruises out of Galveston we drove in the day before and stayed in a hotel. That started our trip off with no worries or rushing around. Plus we got to board the ship early!

When you use a low cost carrier like Norwegian and you fly Economy class it will cost you not more than $ 500 per person from Copenhagen to Orlando. The complete flight schedule for May/Juni 2017 is not published yet but normally you can fly 2 times in a week with a direct flight and on other days with a stopover in Oslo or London.

We are booked right now. Our future got a little uncertain as we are dealing with some sudden medical issues, but remain hopeful we can still do these cruises.

Just booked BCV for a pre cruise stay. It will still be Epcot F&G time!

Still taking names for Candy/Snack exchange! Anyone interested?

Any idea how early they set the schedule for dining/dress codes, shows and all of that? And can you call Guest Services to find out about it? Thank you
