Disney Gift Card Deals

This is great news about target! I am going to hold off on converting my target cards to Disney or eBay until I see if I get any more eBay promotions! I missed the last one, hopefully I get the next one. I have had got them all since I started in Febraury. So, not sure if it's a fluke or if I won't get anymore at all. I did buy $250 Disney in store at target this week. But, still have a big chunk of eBay and target both.

@MrBean. Your story is what my wife is afraid of, which is why she's made me open my own Red Card. I figure we must have done about a similar amount of volume as you in the past half year, which has us wary, so we've been looking for alternatives to spread out the volume.

eBay keeps giving me unable to load cart when I try to check out with Target GC.

Anyone else ever get this message?

Yes, I got this yesterday after I gave up on the whole PPDG mess. I waited a couple of hours then tried to make an offer on a stylus and got a message that said I was buying too many things, so temporarily can't make any more purchases. Now, I only purchased two gift cards and a bag of beads, with several hours between each purchase, so how that was "buying too much" I will never know. I haven't had the courage to try to use the account today for anything.

On another note, I purchased some cards from cardpool a few weeks ago. I used top cash back and they have never credited. I tried to make a claim, however the website states that claims can't be made against cardpool. Ugh. For what it's worth, the cards I bought were for things that we buy and for gifts rather than Target. Either way, I'm not impressed with TCB.

I use TCB some. Less now that their ebay percentage is about the same as ebates. I've only had one bad experience with them and it was on a purchase through Amazon. We did a 'home service' and at the time, TCB was paying 10%. Our service was $180 so we were due back $18. I saw their note that tickets could not be submitted for Amazon purchases but thought 'what are the chances that this doesn't pay?'...I've been using TCB for years with no issues...Well, that purchase didn't credit but they can't do anything about it. That is so weird why some merchants can't be tracked. I know I will not use them anymore when it's with a merchant you cannot submit a ticket for. Other than that one time, I've had no problems.

My dh 'signed' online for it. We live in an extremely safe neighborhood, my neighbors are home and outside a lot during the day and I am usually home so we always just have it left. No more...

Ugh, I have nothing to offer you but . My stomach dropped when I read that post. That's one of my biggest fears with all this churning.

I purchased a wireless router online from a company I've never used before. I waited for the package for a while and checked the tracking.( It wasn't thru UPS or Fedex) tracking showed it had been "delivered, left at front gate". Well we don't have a gate or a fence of any kind. Calling the company was of no help - they acted like I was lying about not receiving it. The package mysteriously showed up about 3 days later.
Hopefully something similar will happen for you.

OK, weird Target story...and a heads up...

On Monday, after the paranoia struck, I bought (2) $200 eBay gift cards and a $3.99 pack of printer paper. I had the printer paper set up for in-store pickup and the gift cards were e-mailed to me within about 10 minutes. My total came to $404.02 so I used (2) $150 Target cards and (1) $100 Target card and put the balance of $4.02 on my RedCard. I knew going in that I wasn't going to get the 5% RedCard discount on the gift cards so I am not upset about that at all...well, I guess if I would have waited...but I digress...

Tonight, I got home from work and see that I received an e-mail from Target. It says "We've reviewed your recent order, and discovered you're entitled to a refund. You should see the refund of within 10-14 business days."... Maybe they realized I didn't get my 5% RedCard discount and decided to apply it...even though I paid with a gift card. So I went into my orders and took a look at the receipt...YIKES!! The receipt shows that they used (1) $150 gift card and (1) $100 gift card, but the did not charge anything to the other $150 gift card (even though it is listed as one of the payment methods used!) and that $154.04 was charged to m RedCard. So I am guessing that they caught that glitch and they will be applying the $150 gift card and crediting back my Red Card. I'm glad they caught it quickly because I would have lost my mind if my Target bill showed up with an extra $150 charged to it. So keep an eye on your statements...I have NO idea how this happened, but I'm glad they caught it.

Thank the Lord!!! My neighbor texted me this evening that she has my UPS delivery that went to her house instead. YAY!! I went over to her house first as soon as we got the email that it was delivered, yet not on my porch. Nothing on her porch and she works and is never home during the day so never occurred to me that she was home. No clue why she waited so late to text me but who cares!?! She has it and I'm so happy and relieved.

Wish I didn't go all chicken little the other day and cash out my $1,300 in TGC for Disney in store. I did save 10% on $1,100 of that and the other $200 was all rebates or 50% off from my uncle at the pawn shop. My trip isn't until January (and I don't need much more now) and cruise is September 2017 so I'll go back to my previous plan to hoard until closer to Christmas in hopes that they do that gift card deal again!!!!

There's no fee & you pick your local store.

No fee to deliver it to a ups store and yes you can pick which one-you have a week to pick it up from when it is delivered.

Today I signed up for free service UPS My Choice, You can direct your order to UPS store nearby for pickup at no fee. My first UPS order should arrive Tues.

Couple of data points from my purchases today:
1) Bought two $50 Disney GC from Bestbuy using some old BestBuy GCs I had lying around the house. I did store pick-up and had no issues.
2) Bought two $100 of Disney GC from BJs using my Amex and received the email notifying me that I used my bonus offer (for a second time) will report back when statement credit hits.
3) Bought one $100 from Target using only GC, self check-out, no issues.

It's one thing if it was stolen but they maintained it wasn't their fault and given the $$ involved that should be noted.

I agree. My dh & I talked about me calling back and letting UPS know. I actually called them twice. Called once and left the info, they contacted the driver and he said he left it 'next to the little table, up against the wall'...which is on my porch (and my neighbor does not have a table on hers). My dh was the one who pointed out to me that I got the same exact delivery yesterday so maybe the driver was confused. So, I called back and 'reopened' the ticket. They reminded the driver that I had the same delivery the day before and he still said that today's delivery was placed in that spot. So, I hate to get him in trouble...he is never very friendly anyways...but they basically told me 'sorry, nothing we can do, driver left it there on your porch', when he didn't.

I know, in the end, it was our fault that we presigned. I take full responsibility for being naive and too trusting. It's too much money to not be smart about.

Just a data point for you guys, I was recently banned from target.com (I'm welcome to shop in the store). Did about 6k of churning since the beginning of the year, made sure to space out orders by at least a week, mixture of shipped vs store pickup, used ebates about 75% of the time. Not sure what the trigger was and they won't tell me!

regular shoppers dont spend 6K in four months on gift cards. im sure they wouldnt mind if you were spending 6K on tvs, clothes, or groceries.
