Thanks so much -- makes sense!!
Thanks so much for offering, @Mommy2TwoMickeys!!!!! I think my main question right now was around whether it made sense to place any request re: location on the reservation. Sounds from @Tikiman's post like there's probably not much of a reason to do this. I am CERTAIN that as I get closer to Nov, I'll have more questions.
A couple for now...
- How much of a walk is it to get to the monorail from the bungalows? Is it much farther than from the other rooms? I have only one point of reference from a time my sister stayed at Poly.
- We will be 5 people in the room: Dh and I, our two kids, and my sister. Trying to figure out what the best sleeping arrangement might be given pull-down beds and such that are not in the rooms we normally stay in. Any suggestions??
Depending on what bungalows are in the system and available it can be quiet a walk because you need to walk the boardwalk to the nearest gate and then walk across the resort. We are still talking a less than 7 minute walk to the lobby but some are closer than others as you can see from the map.

I would say you two take the master bedroom, let your sister have the second bedroom and put the kids in the living room. We had my son (10) on the fold down bed under the TV (he loved it) and my daughter (3) took the fold out couch. Only problem was the big shades that come down to black out the living room had to be raised to use the slider to the back deck. Lucky for me I was in the master so I could go out the side door to go sit and enjoy the deck without waking anyone.
