Just for fun - best and worst meal you had at WDW

What was the best and the worst meal you had on your last WDW vacation? It could be onsite, offsite, QS, TS, Signature but one overall best and worst for your trip

Best has always been at California Grill. Never really had a bad meal. Maybe average but never bad. The secret to that is not ordering something that might be a stretch or too complicated for the kitchen to prepare.

Ohana was perfect and Biergarten was too...I cant really say that we didnt enjoy our meals...BUT we didnt care for Morocco...not because it was bad..but because we didnt care for the the meals...

Best: Rose & Crown, which really surprised me. DW & I wanted to try a new EP TS restaurant & we'd never eaten at R&C before, so we decided to give it shot. It was so good. Loved the beer flight, the cheese platter, the salmon (with celeriac puree--yum). And the sticky toffee pudding...I thought I knew what love was, then I had the sticky toffee pudding....

Worst: ABC Commissary, as one would expect. IMHO there aren't any good CS options at DHS--you're just trying to pick the least not-good option. We picked the Commissary because (a) DS likes it for some reason, and (b) it was so cold that day and it was indoors. Completely mediocre, lukewarm park grub.

Close 2nd: Hollywood & Vine dinner. It's always struggled to put out a good product, but DW likes it (believe it or not). But the move to a character meal has hurt it, IMHO. It seemed a lot busier than usual and the buffet was just a mess--food everywhere and CMs were struggling to keep it straight and stocked. I don't think we'll be back.

Our last trip. Well worst, even though it was just an App and drinks, by far ESPN. Took an hour to get a bill after we had finished our drinks, and the food tasted straight from a box.

For best, hmm. Morimoto for lunch was incredible. I was also really impressed with Captain's Grille, so I would pick those 2.

The worst: 1900 Park fare dinner. While the character interaction is awesome, we did not enjoy the food at all. We all left hungry and ended up splitting a few meals at Pepper Market.
The best is hard to pick, but I will say Cape May dinner, loved the crab legs!

On our last trip, the best meal was the HDDR. The worst, hmmm, we got take out rainforest cafe and brought it back to our hotel on our last full day because Animal Kingdom was closing and we had planned poorly and were starving.

Best: The Boathouse. I love oysters and I really appreciated being able to get a sampling of various ones from different regions and getting information on each one from a very informed server.

Worst: Jiko. I've dined here several times and I just don't get it anymore. It used to be a decent place but my last 3 meals here have been underwhelming, regardless of what I order. It was not my pick this time but my friend, who chose it (had never dined here before), also felt it was the worst meal of the week. Very disappointing to pay signature prices when several non-signature restaurants were better.

Best: I would say 3-way tie CRT, BOG or Jiko. Everyone enjoyed their food at each restaurant. No one had anything bad to say - lots of compliments all around.

Worst: Hollywood & Vine - by far

We keep going back to Ohana's and I am never sure why! Everything taste's like Kerosene to me.

The two places we love to go to: Cape May's, which I think put's out a very nice dinner spread. Kimono's at the Swan - very good Sushi and very un-Disney like prices.

Let me also add Olivia's at OKW. We stay at OKW so it is easy - but we always have had great meals there.

Best: Sanaa for lunch

Worst: BOG breakfast. I couldn't even eat my food, it tasted terrible, and we spent an incredible amount.

Best: Boma buffet dinner. I left the restaurant with sharp pains in my stomach...? why was this good? because i ate so much and the food was hands-down the best at Disney, almost as good as Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, NV.

Worst: Jiko. Right next door, our veggies/food were stone cold. More expensive than Boma and left hungry after our meal. $110 for a dinner of two. Bleh!

Best - 'Ohana - we just love the food there and have never had anything bad or service that was less than stellar.

Worst - Kona Breakfast - Food was inedible, service was horrible. When I pointed out to the server that the eggs were runny, the biscuits were hard as rocks, etc, she didn't offer anything in exchange or compensation. I could have flushed $30 down the toilet and saved an hour of my life.

Our 2 worst were Sci Fi as they brought out something with something I told the chef my ds was allergic to, the food was cold and the beer was warm
The other was Hollywood and Vile for a Fantasmic package the buffet was meh to say the least and most of it was the least they could do and we never did get a drink refill

Best is hard to say because there have been so many really good ones. BOG for dinner last trip was amazing all the way around and CP for a late lunch was just so much fun and the food was very good.

Best was the steaks at Whispering Canyon. Worst was a few years ago the buffet at H&V - not many items that we enjoy and what we tried was gross.

Best- ...hard to decide, but I really enjoyed Ohana breakfast
Worst- I hated Chef Mickey's dinner...however I am giving it a 2nd chance this trip. We ate there arrival day after a 9 hour drive, the little ones were only 2.5 and were very cranky, so I am wondering if that impacted my experience.
