Stitch is Troubled - He Needs Desserts!! - Nov. 24-29, 2015 - Day 6 updated 2/3

Your room is so cool! I love all the theme and the decor! I'm glad you sorted out your room troubles and got some extra fastpasses to use, I can't wait to see what you used them on :teeth:

It really WAS cool. I would highly recommend staying there. We REALLY loved it!!

DD ordered the adult size macaroni

I got

Colony Salad
- Washington apples, sweet pecans and applewood smoked cheddar, dried cranberries, and grilled chicken tossed with field greens in honey shallot vinaigrette; with seared salmon $18.00; $16.00

[/URL
]

I really enjoyed this salad. It has the best mixture of crunchy and sweet and savory.

DH got

New England Pot Roast... Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite
- braised beef in a cabernet wine and mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables $20.00

[/URL
]

DS got

Angus Chuck Cheeseburger- topped with bacon and cheddar or mushrooms and provolone served with fresh fruit or tavern fries $16.00

[/URL

DS totally scarfed this. I mean who doesn’t love those fabulous steak fries.

For dessert, DH got

Boston Cream Pie- tower of vanilla cake, white chocolate pastry cream, chocolate ganache, and chocolate pearl crunch $8.50

[/URL
]

Dang – that looks good. The hubs is in Italy right now for work, so I can’t ask him, but one can imagine that tasted super yummy.

DS left after his burger was finished to “do his own thing” – buzzkill. So DH ordered this because – well – we had another dessert coming with our meal credits.

Seasonal Fruit Cobler- baked seasonal fruits with a crisp topping and homemade ice cream $8.00

[/URL
]

We all had a few bites and it was pretty good.

DD just got a bowl of ice cream – boring.

I didn’t get a photo because I was too focused on MY dessert.

Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake
- vanilla cake with a gooey toffee filling, vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce $7.50

[/URL
]

This rivals the wontons at Yak and Yeti. So, so yummy. I loved every bite.

I go back and forth with MK and Epcot, also. Love them both!

Now you have me craving Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake! The Boston Creme Pie looks delicious and that angus cheeseburger is my son-in-law's favorite burger in all of WDW. I kind of prefer going to LTT for dinner and having a gluttonfest. Good use of the dining credit!

Great pictures around the park! I've yet to see Disney decorated for Christmas, but it's on my bucket list.

You totally need to go when they have it decorated. So beautiful. The reason why I love going at Thanksgiving is that is really gets me in the mood for Christmas.

DH got lost on the way and the parking pass blew out the car window. Y’all - our FREE parking blew out of the window!!! We turned around and I ran out in the middle of the road to get it. Ain’t no shame in my game.

Oh my gosh!! That sounds like quite the adventure!!! :rotfl:

Okay, forget the pot roast. I'll have 3 of these for my meal!!!

It WAS. Dh was just telling DS that he needed to roll up the window because it would blow out. And then - BAM - out it goes. Glad I got it back.

Wow, that looks really good!

It is a great place to eat. I highly recommend.

OMG that's my DD too, she wouldn't ride Splash for years then it became her favourite ride and we couldn't get her off :rotfl2: Now if only I could get her on ToT..........

Mine did this with BTMRR as well. We have yet to get her on TOT or RNR.

Day 4 – Part Three

We checked on TTA, but it went down as we were waiting. It was crazy crowded. DD was getting cranky so we had a talk with her about that and she straightened up and we rode 7DMT.

Then I rode PP

While DD and DH rode the mine train again. Then DD and I rode Splash again.

And that was the end of our fast passes. But it was fun and convenient to ride everything without having to wait. I really miss the fast pass system they used to have. It just seemed easier to get a fast pass and use it and optimize a busy day.

Then we went to Casey’s to have dinner. We all just got a hot dog meal.

DD found a spot right by a trash can to see the castle lighting. It turned out to be a really good spot without a lot of people around.

Then they lit up the castle with lights. So pretty.

After that, we rode the TTA

And looked in some shops and staked out a place to watch the castle show and fireworks.

We watched at the end of Main Street

and then when they were over, we ran out and hit the monorail as fast as we could. We got on before the big crowd hit and were back to the room about 10:15PM.

Kids huh :rotfl2:

I love the castle all lit up, it's so pretty and well done getting out before the crowds!

I know it. I adore the castle all lit up like that. Absolutely beautiful. Yes!! We booked it out of there. Made it out before that craziness.

I miss Christmas decorations at Disney, but we won't be back for them til 2017. That will be my dream trip with all of the grandkids.

If I stay for the late fireworks or parades I actually stay in the parks til the crowds thin. So much easier with the scooter. I try not using one but my knees and ankle betray me.

The castle all done up for Christmas is just breathtaking!

Did you use your dining credits at Casey's? I think the best value on the dining plan for counter service is is the half rotisserie chicken and ribs meal at Cosmic Ray's. It's a ton of food and more than enough for two people. I'm really surprised that I don't see it pop up more often on trip reports.

Smart move getting out of there before the crowds.

I have been successful in not having to use one the last couple of trips, but I wore a pain patch that helped me through. I might have to get another prescription because that was my last patch and we have a trip coming up at the end of March.

I know you are looking forward to the trip with your grandkids so much. Did you book a resort yet??

Yes, we used our dining credits. I like Cosmic Rays - it is OK, but I don;t like that there is a separate bay for everything. Everyone in our family always wants something different and there is always a problem with ordering because DH won't listen, so we don't go there much. I certainly want the most bang for our buck, but for us the dining plan is really so DH can relax. If we aren't on the dining plan, all he does is worry about money and then he decides he won't eat because everything costs so much and then he gets grumpy and nobody likes a grumpy DH. So the dining plan just makes our trip better by pre-paying.

I think the castle all lit up for Christmas is BEAUTIFUL!! I love it so much!!
