Interesting Member benefit I just noticed on the 2016 printable list

Did anyone else see this (or better yet get an invite)? I'm assuming it must be happening soon if it is to "kick off this year"

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun like the Typhoon Lagoon party last summer!!

Taken from the DVC member website...."Disney Vacation Club 25 and Beyond Bash – Kick off this year’s 25th Anniversary celebration with an exclusive, after-hours event at the Magic Kingdom! Guest can enjoy select attractions and complimentary snacks."

Also I assume this is a new event for this year too...."
Disney Vacation Club Safari Spectacular – Go wild with fellow Members during this exclusive event at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park! When the sun goes down, Members and their Guests will revel in an after-dark look at some of the park’s star inhabitants and enjoy access to select attractions. 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27"

They also said Typhoon Lagoon beach party would be back and listed the June/July dates already.

We went to the TL party last year and had sooo much fun!!!!! Going back the first week of August again and hopefully they will be running something for the dates I'm there!!!

I had read that after the annual meeting-I was just kind of surprised to find it on that printable list on the website before anything had been officially announced lol.

That's what we'd all like to know-maybe on Monday they will announce it?

Wikipedia says it opened on Oct 1, 1991. So maybe that's when the event will be.

We're having a gals trip in September! Yeah! Plus we're at AKV, so the after hours event is right in the theme of our stay!

Just realized DH & I will be there for a TL event, too! Wow! Our family of 5 will be with us in July, were guests invited to last year's party if staying on points on their own reservation?

I wouldn't think so since it listed it as a kick off to this year's celebration. Also it seemed to be chronological listing this first, then the summer one at Typhoon Lagoon, then the fall one at AK. Plus MK already closes early so much in Sept/Oct for MNSSHP it would be hard to have another early closure

They look good, but it's unfortunate I won't be back until 2017. Given that many members book their holidays 11 months in advance, shouldn't they announce special events more in advance to allow people to plan for them instead of being luck of the draw (having a vacation booked for when they announce a special party)?
