T-7 for us. I haven't been to a value recently, what time do the pools open? I'm used to the quiet pools at moderates, with no guards and open early. I'd like to swim prior to heading out for the day.

If it's not closed for maintenance you can use it in the morning. The guards start at either 9 or 10am. Prior to that it's use at your own risk.

Swimming before 9am or after 11pm is not allowed anymore. There are big "Pool closed" signs out now, until the lifeguards come on duty in the morning and they clear the pool at night.

We are thinking about putting a short string of holiday lights around the window for our trip in December. Does anyone happen to know how far away the nearest outlet is from the window? I want to be sure our short string will work without an extension cord.

It's about 7 feet on a straight line from the outlet under the table to the bottom corner of the window. I'd say you'd need around 10 feet of cord to comfortably reach the window.

Why not get the battery operated kind? Then you wouldn't have to worry about proximity to an outlet.

Checking into Pop very soon! Does anyone know if you can buy a refillable mug without the refills? I'm guessing not. Me and DH get the mug with our dining plan but I know our 2 year old is going to want her own mug after seeing us with one.

Does the gift shop sell coffee mugs that look similar? We could just keep hers filled with water or juice and not have to deal with any terrible two tantrums. TIA!

Target has some disney sippy cups on sale right now. It might just be cheaper to go get one and slip it into the suitcase and give it to them there. (Tell them Mickey left this just for them so they could have a cup too!)

when you use the laundry service is it okay to just throw your stuff in and come back for it in like a half an hour? Or do you have to stay there the whole time?

Magicbands came today!! While we received one for DS who is 2, we didn't get a luggage tag for him. I wonder why?

Oh well, no matter. They're more flimsy than I thought they would be anyway. I'm just so excited, and a little stressed thinking about what I need to do to get ready for the trip. The is DS's first plane trip so I have no idea of what to expect.

I am returning to Pop on January31, until Feb the 6th of next year. This will be my 3rd Pop Century stay. I love the resort. Especially the price.

We stayed in a preferred room about 5 years ago. I'm guessing Pop hasn't had a refurb since then, right? Thinking of booking there again for June and it doesn't matter about the refurb, just curious. I am wondering how often king room requests are honored. Ideas?

I really don't know when Pop had a refurb, but I have to say, I've stayed there three times within the past year and all three rooms were in really good condition.

We checked in yesterday and also did not receive any of our requests. I had requested connecting/adjoining rooms over the phone. I added ground floor and close to transportation during online check in. We received the room texts so far apart. One was ready at 10:30 in 50's building 3 on the 3rd floor. The other text came in around 4:30 for 80's building 7 on the 4th floor. We have a standard pool view booked. I went to the front desk and they were at least able to move us both to the 80's building with rooms two doors apart. Both of the rooms have connecting doors so I am hoping they will be able to move one of us.
