2015 Villain’s Sinister Soiree

We did this special event last year and are hoping they will be holding it again this year. Any idea when it will be announced? Or if it already has?

For 2014, it was announced in late August.

I called today and asked a Special Dining Event agent if the Villain's Sinister Soiree will be taking place again this year. She said they will not be having the event, but will be having something different. She could not give me any further details, location, or a release date. I hope whatever special event they have, it's just as good as the Soiree. The event was amazing and a highlight of our trip!

I'm really hoping they continue the soiree but would be fine with something different but similar as well. We really liked having the parade/fireworks viewing section and thought the show at the party was really great. the desserts weren't to our taste I think the general idea of the event is a great one.

Maybe they got a lot of complaints about making some of the villains exclusive to the event.

Gee, I can't wait for the opportunity to spend another 100 bucks on top of my party ticket. How about doing something special EVERYONE at the party can do?

I spoke to a phone CM today and she said to look out mid August, she seemed to confirm it was happening but did not have pricing.

Omg that is SO true! The first hundred I spent isn't enough, now you're going to suck every drop of blood and my first born so I can stand in a longer line to reach something you run out of when I get there and stand to watch fireworks I won't be able to see. Sign me up.

No one is making you spend the extra $ nor should anyone be criticized for doing so. No matter how you feel Disney will keep doing these add on hard ticket things... Example frozen add on going on now.

I think I'd be much more willing to do these events if they didn't take up party time that I already paid for. A solution that would make most happy (or at least me):

-don't take away villain characters from MNSSHP. The villain's soiree would have worked great if it started at midnight, when the party ended. I don't think this would have been too bothersome to the park, you were contained inside the castle anyway. After it was over the whole group could have been walked down Main Street together. You'd still get the special seating for the fireworks and the parade, but it wouldn't waste any party time. I went last year because my BF's family paid for my ticket, otherwise I don't think it would have been in the budget. The 2 things that bothered me the most was that it took up most of the special party time that I already paid extra for and it took characters away that used to be available for MNSSHP guests. I know Disney probably won't go this way, but I'd be more willing to pay for it if any extra events started after the party ended.

We did the 12 midnight seating and did not miss any party time...

There were 2 seatings. Having the earlier seating made the characters unavailable for the party. I suppose my solution would then be to have only one seating after the party ended. I suppose it is not Disney's way to give up a seating and give up money, so it probably will not happen.

I loved the Fireworks viewing area that was roped off. I would gladly pay extra for that alone.
