The "I Wasn't Going to Do a Trip Report" Trip Report!~May 2015-Update 5/10/16-New TR link!

Just caught up.
I'm following.

I'll be at Disney in December.
But, friends and family don't understand why I'm doing Disney again.
I keep hearing "You've already been to DisneyWorld, why don't you travel somewhere else?" and "DisneyWorld is for kids!"
All I can say is "If you ever travel to DisneyWorld then you'll understand"

I look forward to hearing more about your trip!

My in-laws ask me that question every time we go. I used to list about 100 things that we haven't done yet. I have finally given up and started asking them why they keep going to the beach over and over again.

If you're a bus person, you don't know the annoyance that this is
Nope, I don't! #buslife :D

We got out of the car and walked to the entrance, went through bag check, and I heard it...the Epcot entrance music loop! :lovestruc I don't know if that's my favorite Disney music, but it's up there...I can be in the worst mood and just hear 2 seconds of this music and I'm immediately happy!
Yaaaassss!!! I love love love this feeling, too! :goodvibes

ust like that, we were there! I was in Epcot! It's that moment you wait for for MONTHS when you're counting down to a Disney trip, imagining what it's going to feel like when you finally walk into a park and hear the music and smell the popcorn and see Spaceship Earth! I swear I have to hold back tears every single time, because I feel like a loser crying in the middle of a park!

IMG_8595.jpg
I'm that loser too, and I do not care one bit what anybody thinks. ::yes::

nyway, Spaceship Earth is more important than topiaries, right?
Totally! :thumbsup2

We checked in and waited outside for a table to be ready, and saw the first Disney ducklings of the trip! Yay! Disney ducklings are the cutest things in the world, just in case anyone was wondering. I can't tell you how much time we've wasted in Disney World, watching Disney ducklings. :rolleyes1
I LOVE DISNEY CRITTERS. And duckling sightings are the BEST! :cutie:

And Le Cellier is so crowded, if you get one of those middle tables, forget it. You might as well push your tables together with the people next to you and split the check.
This was my experience at Chefs de France, actually. It was super awkward. :sad2:

We both started with my favorite, the cheddar cheese soup

IMG_8604.jpg
Oh, how I love this... :cloud9:

Finally it was time for Soarin', which is one of my favorite rides in Disney. Perfect way to start off a trip, with your favorite ride!
I'm a member of the Soarin' Fan Club, too! I just love it! :hyper:

On the way out, the sun was setting and Spaceship Earth was absolutely glowing. It was SO beautiful, so I had to stop and take about a million pictures of it! (I'll just show you one though, so I don't bore you!)

IMG_8617.jpg
GORGEOUS shot!!!

Sure enough, we get there and Brandon tells the parking attendant that we're going to eat there and the attendant tell us no.
Ummmm... Blink blink. I was there at the Poly for a meal... literally 6 DAYS before you (April 27)... and there was no problems at all, the parking attendant waved me right on through. :confused3

By then my head was pounding and I was so not in the mood to be there, I just wanted my bed at home and my cats and a bottle of Advil
I can relate to this. I have a chronic pain condition, and when mine is flaring up, painkillers along with my bed and my kitties are all I want! :cat:

I grabbed my ice pack that I had on my head, went into the bathroom, sat on the edge of the tub and cried my eyes out. Like seriously, sobbed like a little kid. I hate how I can go from being so happy to be in Disney World a few hours earlier, to crying in the bathroom. And it's all because of a stupid migraine. I stayed in there for maybe 15-20 minutes and then, when I felt like I could possibly fall asleep, I got back into bed and finally went to sleep.
Oh, honey. You poor thing. I just want to hug you up right now!

It wasn't the best night of sleep, I kept waking up, but I realized at one point when I woke up, my migraine was gone! Which made me SO happy, since it was soon to be our first FULL Disney day, and I couldn't let a migraine get in the way of that!

Up next...a migraine free, first FULL day of Disney!
I'm so relieved to hear that it went away!!! And I am VERY much looking to hearing more, with you feeling better!!! :goodvibes

Joining! I'm sorry your first day was ruined. My mother suffers with migraines too and she will sometimes get them at Disney. She says it's because of the sunshine. We are from NY... Not use to the sun :-)

Did you do a trip report from you christmas trip? I'm going this christmas and would love to read it. We've been every other time of year but christmas

So sorry about your migraine. My daughter gets them and our doctor has found thru some research that a lot of people that get them are low in magnesium. So my daughter takes magnesium everyday and hasn't had one since!

I just don't think it would be a Nermel TR without the first stop being Epcot, and more recently, a last minute LeCellier meal! :rotfl:It's funny how we all fall into our patterns at Disney. For us, it's the early opening ADR at Crystal Palace, and last minute addition of a Sci Fi meal. While I am not a fan of MDE overall, I have to admit that occasionally, FP+ does have its advantages, like you mentioned with being able to get onto popular rides on arrival day. Very cool that you got to start off with Soarin'! It's not our favorite ride, but we will definitely be trying it this trip because DS is finally tall enough to ride.

So sorry your night ended off with a bad meal and worst of all, a migraine. But I hope that got it out of your system so you could enjoy the rest of the trip. I get migraines too, and they are absolutely miserable anywhere, but especially in Disney. Probably the lack of sleep and stress of traveling all day in general. But still, NO FUN!

I may or may not know what its like to bawl in a park! :rolleyes1

Bummer about the migraine! But glad it at least went away!

Haha, it happens!

Yeah it was pretty bad, but I'm happy it was gone! :thumbsup2

Oh no...I'm so sorry that a migraine got in the way of your first night. The earlier part of the day sounded like fun though...even though I'm Canadian I've never eaten at Le Cellier...gotta do something about that lol. I know exactly how you feel though...it is so sad when you are at Disney (or on any vacay really) and you aren't feeling well...it is just depressing and you just want to be ok and it's stressful. I'm glad to hear that it went away though and hopefully you were migraine free for the rest of the trip! Also, being able to ride Soarin' when arriving late at Epcot...I guess that's one benefit of FP+...

It was fun up until the migraine! Aww, I love Le Cellier, you have to try it, even just for the pretzel bread and the cheddar cheese soup!

Yeah it was a pretty awful migraine...I got one just as bad the other day, even worse actually, so I don't know what's going on with that. My body just hates hot weather I think, it take me a while to adjust to the heat.

Yeah I loved FP+ for that, it really worked out on that first day! It was actually pretty good the whole trip, I suppose I don't hate it as much anymore!:rotfl:

Ugh migraines are the worst in Disney!!
Glad it went away for following day, though!!

I want to try sushi from kona island! I hope to try there while we are staying at the POLY :)

Thanks, me too!

It's pretty good, and I'm not a huge sushi person! Kona Island is awesome, because you can order anything off of the Kona Cafe menu, but you don't need an ADR, you just walk right up and sit down! I can't believe you're staying at the Poly!!! :thumbsup2

I am a fellow migraine sufferer. Mine are like yours, they come on and there is not much you can do to get rid of them. I finally went back to the doctor about 6 months ago because I was getting so frustrated. They put me on new medication, and I haven't had one since!! Well, up until about a week ago. This past week has been awful. I went home from work one day and just laid on my couch and cried. I am hoping and praying I can get it under control before our trip in 18 days!! I hope one day they go away for you. Such an awful thing to experience...especially in Disney!!

EPCOT :cloud9: I love the entrance loops and any other loop I can get my hands on!! I have been listening to them lately to get pumped for our trip. I am glad you ate at Le Cellier!! I loved their filet! We are heading to Yachtsman during our trip, so I will let you know how it is. I hope it is as yummy as Le Cellier (since it will probably cost a fortune!! lol)

I hope the rest of your trip is migraine free! I can't wait to hear what you and Brandon are up to next!! :)

Aww, I'm sorry you have migraines too, they're the worst! You're brave, at least you went to the doctor, I'm too afraid to go so I just suffer. However, I keep reading that it's hard to treat migraines so even if I go, I'm sure whatever they give me won't work. I hope you can figure it out before you're trip, it's awful losing a Disney day to a migraine!

Epcot music is the best! There is this piano medley of World Showcase songs that I've heard on Disney radio stations, but I can't find it anywhere to download, but it's the best! :thumbsup2

Oooh yes, let me know how Yachtsman is! I'm sure it will be a fortune lol, but so was Le Cellier, I was shocked at how much it cost! :scared1:

Thanks! :goodvibes

HAHA, I have to admit. Having used the bus exclusively this past trip, that might be the main thing I missed the least. Because like you, I ALWAYS start a new row in the parking lot. So frustrating, lol.

While I tend not to do it at home, I do generally take aN Advil to start the day in Disney. Better to get out in front I guess.

Very True Jen. FP+ may not be the best thing ever, but on arrival day it is pure gold. No way you'd get to ride any head-liners without a massive wait otherwise.

Oh Jen, that makes me so sad for you to have an unmagical migraine on arrival day. That just stinks. I totally get being upset about that. You wait and wait for the day to arrive and them BAM, just like that it's virtually ruined. So terribly frustrating since there's nothing you can do. I do like the "Up Next" though. Migraine Free!

Haha, I'm glad you understand! I knew the people that didn't bus would get it!

I'm actually thinking of doing that on my next trip, just get whatever headache pain that may or may not come out later out of the way in the morning! The only problem with that is, you take too much Advil or pain medication, you get rebound headaches. So you can't win. :confused3

YES I love FP+ on arrival day! I was so happy to KNOW I would be riding Soarin' that day! I just hate the stupid tiers at Epcot, I don't want an FP for Spaceship Earth or Nemo, lol! At least when Maelstrom was around, that made sense, but now? Just give me Test Track and Soarin' and let's call it a day. :rotfl:

Thanks! The only good thing about this migraine is it waited until the end of the day to ruin things for me, the great migraine of 2011 arrival day was pretty much the second I got off the plane and the entire day was just awful. So I'm grateful for that! :cool1:

Oh, I hear you on the parking situation...it happens to us almost every single time. :faint:

I'm glad you had another great meal at LeCellier. I'm looking forward to the soup and trout at Food & Wine.

That's too bad about your migraine. Do you get them frequently at home too? I'm sorry you ended up crying on your first night in the World. :(

Haha, yep, it's so annoying!

Awww, I wish I was going to Food and Wine this year!!! Hopefully next year! :thumbsup2

I do get them at home, I'd say I get them once or twice a month. More in the summer since my body hates the heat and humidity. I have no idea how to prevent them. Some days I can go out all day in the heat and be fine, other days I can walk for 5 minutes and be ruined for an entire day. I should suck it up and go to a doctor but I'm too afraid.

following...I love trip reports!

:welcome: Thanks for joining!

So sorry about your migraine....that must have just been awful...and to think of you crying in the bathroom...that's so sad....I hope the rest of the trip was migraine free.....

Thanks! Aww, when you put it that way, it sounds so awful! I just needed somewhere quiet, and luckily, I think the crying made me feel a little better! :thumbsup2

Ohhh Epcot. OKAY, so this year they didn't play oldies music for Flower and Garden? That was the first thing I noticed last year and it threw me off so much! I mean I love oldies. But like not as much as the Epcot entrance music. ANYWAYS.

Hahaha I mean I guess some traditions will never die. It's a good thing you love Le Cellier so much too!

Ugh I'm so sorry you got a migraine. Trust me, I get the whole crying in the bathroom thing. When you feel terrible on a Disney trip, it's just devastating. So glad you started to feel better though, yay!

Nope, no oldies for Flower and Garden, just lovely Epcot entrance music! One year they played the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack and I was devastated...I love that music, but I need Epcot music in Epcot!

Haha, nope! I do love Le Cellier, so it works out, I don't mind going there!

Thanks! Aww you've cried in a Disney bathroom too? It happens I guess! :goodvibes I'm just happy it happened at night and didn't ruin my whole day!

So sorry about your migraine. What a nasty way to start your trip. I am glad it ended while you were sleeping. I have never eaten at Le Cellier. Being Canadian, I always try the other countries first. Maybe this year!

Thank you! It was a horrible way to start my trip, but at least the day was almost over! Most of the day was great!

Le Cellier is so good! You should definitely try it, the soup alone is worth it! :thumbsup2

I'm also a fellow migraine sufferer, so I know exactly what you went through. Sometimes crying your eyes out actually helps a little just to relieve some of the stress in hopes of relaxing enough to fall asleep. Hopefully the rest of your trip is migraine-free! Even though it's tough not to get so excited about being at Disney, try to do some breathing/relaxing exercises to keep stress levels down whenever you can. :cloud9:

It did actually help, the crying! I felt like I was ready to rest after I cried, and that's what I needed to get the stupid migraine to go away!

Huh I never really thought of it that way, that even a good kind of excited is stressful...maybe that explains my arrival day migraines...hmmm...you've given me a lot to think about, thank you! :goodvibes:thumbsup2 I thank you in advance if you solved my arrival day migraine problem, I just always assumed it was dehydration and the heat, but I guess the body doesn't know the difference between good stress and bad stress...hmmm...very interesting!

Epcot! Yay!

Haha, I always wonder if you are going to end up at Le Cellier for a meal. Not that it's a bad thing. I swear, I haven't gone to Disney in 3 years and not eaten at Via Napoli, so I get it.

Oh no, a migraine! That sucks. I mean, if it's the only one you got then at least it happened right away and left the rest of your trip free. But still...that's just terrible.
Oh my gosh, the struggle with a husband that snores...I get it. Haha. At first, you push the, gently, and the. You start ramming them, like. "stop snoring!!!"

Lol, I know, we always go to Le Cellier! I tried to skip it, I tried, but I couldn't say no to Brandon and deny him his favorite restaurant! And it's not like I mind, I do love it!

Yeah it was pretty awful, but at least it was the first day, and at night, so most of the day was good! And luckily that was the only time it happened so it could have been much worse!

Lol...it was so much worse before Brandon had that sleep machine! He used to be out of control! Now he's pretty quiet, except for when his allergies are bothering him, or he has to readjust to a new place, like Florida, haha! :rotfl:

Hi, Jen, I'm here!!! :wave2:

What an awesome, adorable picture of you in your intro! :thumbsup2

Ugh, I'm always stress at the airport prior to getting through security, too.

Gorgeous photos of the room and Epcot!!! :cloud9:

SO sorry to hear about your migraine! I hope that one was the only one of the trip.

Yay glad you're here! Hope you had a great trip!

Thank you! :goodvibes

It was the only one of the trip, luckily, sometimes I get them a few times and it's just awful! But this was it, and I felt great the rest of the time, I think the absolutely perfect weather had something to do with it! :thumbsup2

Just caught up.

I'll be at Disney in December.

:welcome: Thanks for joining!

Yay, Disney in December is awesome!

Yep, I hear the same thing! And I have the same answer for people! :rotfl2:

My in-laws ask me that question every time we go. I used to list about 100 things that we haven't done yet. I have finally given up and started asking them why they keep going to the beach over and over again.

Haha, I should start doing that when people ask me why I go to Disney so much! :rotfl2:

Nope, I don't! #buslife :D

Yaaaassss!!! I love love love this feeling, too! :goodvibes

I'm that loser too, and I do not care one bit what anybody thinks. ::yes::

Totally! :thumbsup2

I LOVE DISNEY CRITTERS. And duckling sightings are the BEST! :cutie:

This was my experience at Chefs de France, actually. It was super awkward. :sad2:

Oh, how I love this... :cloud9:

Yeah the buses are better for dropping you off right at the park entrance, but I love getting to walk to my car and leave whenever I want and not wait 20 minutes for a bus! I do like the idea of a car free trip someday, though...::yes::

Disney critters are the best! I will seriously stare at the ducks and bunnies for the longest time, they're the cutest!

YES Chef's de France has those awful middle tables that are on top of each other...we went there a few years ago and we were practically sitting at this obnoxious table with this obnoxious family and it really ruined it for us. We haven't been back since, which is too bad, because the food is really good!

Soarin' is the best!!! :lovestruc

I think if we actually had an ADR they would have let us park there, but since Brandon lied and the guy looked through his list of people with reservations, he didn't let us. It was annoying, but whatever! Some parking attendants are weird with that!

Aww, thanks! I always want my cats when I feel like crap, I'm glad other people feel the same way! :goodvibes

Sorry about the headache...that is no fun at all!

Thanks! It wasn't fun, but luckily it went away!

:welcome: Thanks! Sometimes I think it's from the sun too, or the heat, or dehydration...I really don't know what causes them, I just wish they would stop ruining my Disney days!

I have done a few Christmas TR's, I've gone a few times in November when Christmas season starts and Food and Wine ends, and then I've gone in December. I did go last year for a few days for Christmas week, but I didn't do a TR for that one. The links are in my signature if you want to read them! It's my favorite time of year to go! :thumbsup2

So sorry about your migraine. My daughter gets them and our doctor has found thru some research that a lot of people that get them are low in magnesium. So my daughter takes magnesium everyday and hasn't had one since!

Thanks! I've heard that about magnesium, do you know exactly what kind your daughter takes? Maybe I should give it a try, but I'm not sure what kind to get!

I get migraines too, and they are absolutely miserable anywhere, but especially in Disney. Probably the lack of sleep and stress of traveling all day in general. But still, NO FUN!

Haha, that's true! :rotfl2: I love an early Crystal Palace ADR too! :thumbsup2 I haven't been to Sci Fi in years, but I'd love to try it again!

Yeah I'm liking FP+ a little more than I used to, since I think I figured out a better way to do it than scheduling them all in the morning, that was kind of stupid, haha! :rotfl:

It wasn't exactly bad at Kona, it was just not as good as it usually is, but my migraine might have had a lot to do with it! Do you take anything for your migraines, or try to prevent them in any way? I just keep reading how most of the prescriptions aren't even that great for them. I almost want to try botox, lol! Get rid of my wrinkes AND be migraine free! (Just kidding, I'm not there yet! :rotfl:) I just want to try something for prevention and I don't know what to do...someone just suggested magnesium so I might give that a try!

He Can Call me a Flower if He Wants To!

Day 2, May 3!

Hi guys! So I apologize in advance to anyone who doesn't like Epcot or is sick of my Epcot updates because on Day 2 we woke up...and went to Epcot! :thumbsup2 Sorry? I just can't stay away!

Let me back track a little though...the night before, I finally fell asleep with my horrible migraine. I woke up a million times that night, because Brandon was snoring and I had the tv on (which I guess I could have shut off, but I felt like it helped muffle the snoring) and I just didn't feel good. But eventually one of the times I woke up and I felt pretty good! I was tired, but I noticed the migraine was gone! :cool1:

Eventually at 6, my alarm went off and I had to get up and start getting ready. I know, 6:00 on vacation. Brutal. I don't even get up that early for work, but here I am, second day of the trip, getting up at 6. Sadly, it's necessary if I want to shower and straighten my hair, and then have Brandon shower. I usually wake him about 45 minutes later and that leaves us enough time to get ready and get out of the room.

The last time I was at the Wilderness Lodge, we had a courtyard view room, so I could get up and see the sunrise almost every morning, but this time, we were facing the villas, so I didn't get to see it. So when we left the room to go get breakfast, I tried to get a picture of the next best thing, the sun over the lake through the window:

IMG_8630.jpg

Not as beautiful as a sunrise I guess, but it will do!

I also thought the lobby looked lovely that morning, so quiet and peaceful, too early for anyone to be running around and loud haha:

IMG_8629.jpg

I miss it so much!:sad::sad:

Anyway, we finally went downstairs to Roaring Fork to get our favorite breakfast, the breakfast croissant. I don't know what it is about this breakfast, it's just a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant and they have them everywhere in Disney, but the ones at the WL are SO good!

IMG_8631.jpg

We finished eating and headed over to the buses. I don't remember my reasoning for taking the bus that day, I think it's because I wanted an excuse to take the monorail back from Epcot! But it was nice not having to drive over, and start a new row parking, haha!

We got to Epcot just as it was opening, and guess where I went first? You'll never guess! Yep, Soarin'! It was only a 10 minute wait, which was great, and when we came out, I wanted to go on again, but Brandon wasn't up to it. Somehow, he's not a big Soarin' fan like I am. :sad2:

We figured, since it was so early, Test Track was probably a reasonable wait time, so we started to walk over there, but first, Brandon wanted to stop at Starbucks for coffee. I didn't get anything, so I waited outside for him and took pictures of my favorite fountain!

IMG_8632.jpg

IMG_8633.jpg

We went over to Test Track and it was a 30 minute wait, which I'm not sure why, but we were like "30 minutes? I'm not waiting 30 minutes for Test Track!" Looking back, we should have just waited, it's not really that long, haha! Oh well!

I really just wanted to go to the World Showcase to get some things from the Flower and Garden booths, but it was still way too early, so we did something we have never done before...

IMG_8634.jpg

Yep, the Universe of Energy! It's so weird over there, it's almost deserted. I felt so bad for the CM's, they seemed so happy when people would walk in. One of the CM's liked Brandon's shirt so he gave him plastic dinosaurs and told us how he's worked at Disney for like 30 years or something crazy! I don't know, I always feel bad for the CM's who have to work on the less popular rides. Like what if you do the college program and you're all excited to work at a really awesome attraction and you get stuck at like, that Circle of Life thing in The Land? I can't imagine how boring that must be.

Anyway, there wasn't really a wait for this, we just had to watch the 6 hour long pre-show before the actual ride started (which now, I can finally say I get the "stupid Judy" reference, haha!) and it was...ok. I mean, it's cute, and I love Ellen, but it's so dated. I just feel like there is SO much more they can do with the topic of energy, you know? So much space at Epcot and they just leave it sitting there, either empty or old and outdated. It's sad because Epcot is supposed to be about the future, and you think about how Walt Disney was SO ahead of his time with the things he came up with, and how he was always moving forward, and yet, Epcot just sits here. It's my favorite park, and I love it no matter what, I just wish they would give it some attention.

Anyway, once we finished that 45 minute ride, it was time to go to the World Showcase!

I stopped to take some pictures once we got in there, and Brandon told me to use my panoramic setting on my phone. I had no idea my phone could do that, and he said that was one of the big things that people were excited about when the iPhone 6 came out! I had no idea, but I used it and ended up with this beautiful picture:

IMG_8637.jpg

From then on, I was obsessed. Panoramic everything.

We started to walk through the countries, stopping to look at the adorable topiaries and gardens along the way. I love the English tea garden, it's so simple, yet so cute!

IMG_8639.jpg

Then we moved on to France, and I was just obsessed with this area! It's always beautiful during Flower and Garden, but this year it was even more lovely, because of the way they had the Beauty and the Beast topiaries set up!

IMG_8641.jpg

IMG_8642.jpg

I was tempted to get something from the booth in France, because a couple of things looked good, and I really wanted to try the slush, but I knew I really wanted something from the Smokehouse area in America, so I waited.

When we got to Japan, Brandon had to get sushi from the booth in Japan, so I just took more pictures. I could not get over the beautiful blue sky, it was just so pretty and vibrant!

IMG_8643.jpg

He loved the sushi, I didn't get to take a picture, because he inhaled it! He always loves the sushi from the Food and Wine booth, so it's no surprise he liked this too!

We finally got to America, and I knew what I wanted already, the slider with pulled pork. The only problem was, there was some kind of slaw on top of it, which I know, is pretty standard with pulled pork, but I think it's gross, so we asked if they could leave that off, and they did. Brandon also got a beer and the burnt ends, which I didn't take a picture of, because they looked kind of gross, haha!

IMG_8644.jpg

The slider was really good, so I ended up eating that while Brandon ate the burnt ends. They were good, but way too smoky for me. I love barbecue, but I hate when things taste purely of smoke, you know? And that's how this tasted. The pulled pork though, was awesome!

We walked around a little more and didn't really know what to do, I didn't feel like looping through the World Showcase again, and I knew Brandon wanted to go in the pool, so we decided to leave and go do that.

Can't resist Spaceship Earth pictures on the way out of Epcot, right? :lovestruc

IMG_8647.jpg

IMG_8648.jpg

We took the monorail back to the TTC, and then had to hop on the Express monorail to get a boat to the Wilderness Lodge from the Magic Kingdom. Let me just say, it killed me to be SO close to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom and not go in, but I knew I'd be there soon, so that helped!

Once we got back to the Lodge, I had to hold us up again and take pictures because it's just so beautiful out there, and again, the day was so perfect, and the sky was so amazingly blue.

(I was trying to be all artistic with that one, and hold my phone really low to the ground so you would see the flowers in the front, and then the Lodge off in the back, but then I noticed a LOT of bees flying around, so I quickly took this picture and ran away, haha!)

It is just SO perfect here!!! I love it so much!

Anyway, I finally stopped with the photoshoot and we went back up to the room and got changed. Our room wasn't clean, which was kind of annoying because I use a lot of towels when I shower, and I just threw them on the ground, instead of hanging them to dry, because I assumed we'd get new towels. But whatever, it was like 1:30-ish, so there was still time for them to clean, not a big deal. So we went down to the pool and hung out for a while. There were almost no chairs available to put our stuff on, because so many people were in the pool, but finally we found some waaaaay over in the corner lol. I HATE wearing a bathing suit in public, so as soon as I put my stuff down, I ran to the pool and got in. It was nice, the water was refreshing and the pool area is beautiful, but it was SO crowded. And Brandon kept saying he was cold, which I didn't understand, because it was hot out and the water was pretty warm, but then after a little while, I was getting cold too, so we didn't stay in that long. I love the Disney pools, I really do, but I can only stay in them for so long. I get bored. :confused3 I think, that for such a big, lovely resort, the pool at the WL is kind of small. I wish we checked out the other pool, but we never had time.

We went back up to our room, and unfortunately, it wasn't cleaned. I don't care about beds being made or anything like that, I just want clean towels. That's my biggest concern in a hotel, just give me clean towels and I'm happy. So I had to have Brandon go to the front desk to ask for towels, he told them we were leaving the room in a little while so I guess they would bring them up when we left.

I think after we dried off and changed, we slept for a little while and then we had to get up and get ready to go back out! Never a dull moment in Disney! Or even a moment to relax! :rotfl: You can't be too sad about a lack of a nap in Disney though, especially when you're getting ready for dinner at one of your favorite restaurants!

Up next...dinner and the Magic Kingdom, finally!

Yes, that's what I learned when researching migraines and from personal experience - both good and bad stress can trigger migraines. But, everyone is different, so something like magnesium could be helpful, as Hadley suggests. The goal is to figure out what triggers your migraine. For myself, it's usually a combination of stress, lack of sleep, and maybe too much/little caffeine. For others, it could be certain foods, lighting, smells, etc. I'd also read somewhere that biofeedback can help reduce the occurrence of migraines or lessen the pain. Good luck figuring out your triggers! And loving your TR! :dogdance:

on Day 2 we woke up...and went to Epcot! :thumbsup2

Hey, I admire your dedication Jen.:flower3:

Not as beautiful as a sunrise I guess, but it will do!

I don't know, that's still pretty glorious.

Ugh. My one big regret is not heading up there to get some photos. I have no idea where my head was at. That is so beautiful.

Somehow, he's not a big Soarin' fan like I am. :sad2:

Yeah sorry but you're going to have to dump Brandon. You do know that right? Ya'll had a good run.

Like what if you do the college program and you're all excited to work at a really awesome attraction and you get stuck at like, that Circle of Life thing in The Land?

OMG this is exactly what I was thinking when you said you were doing Universe of Energy. I guess at least at Circle of Life if you're near the entrance you get to at least see people... not coming in.

Ah I love it. From Epcot to WL and not one bus needed.

Lovely!

It's sad because Epcot is supposed to be about the future, and you think about how Walt Disney was SO ahead of his time with the things he came up with, and how he was always moving forward, and yet, Epcot just sits here. It's my favorite park, and I love it no matter what, I just wish they would give it some attention.
::yes::

Can't resist Spaceship Earth pictures on the way out of Epcot, right? :lovestruc
You have NO idea how many I ended up taking! :rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Well done! :thumbsup2

I'm so so glad the migraine went away and you were able to enjoy the next day...must have been hard to get up though...at least you were at Disney! Great Epcot morning...totally with you on the universe of energy thing...wish they would update that...and maybe shorten it just a touch lol...and same with some other attractions there...sad really. But people still go and spend money so...not sure when they will have the incentive to do that. I can't wait to try the food booths and F&W...sounds like so much fun grazing around. That panoramic shot you got of Epcot was really amazing...you should blow it up and frame it!

Sick of Epcot?! Ha. Hahahaha.

I agree about the potential Epcot has. Like I don't understand why so much has closed and changed over time. There is SO much they could do with it. The possibilities are endless. I mean I LOVE Epcot but it does frustrate me that they could do so much more with it. (Same with DHS, really!)

AHHHH all your Wilderness Lodge pictures are beautiful!! That resort is the next one I MUST stay at!

Clearly I don't pay attention to my notifications, and I didn't realize you started this! But I'm here! Sorry to hear about your migraine on your first afternoon, I get bad migraines every so often, to the point that I have mini stroke symptoms and basically they are debilitating, and life sucks at that moment.

I love Epcot also! The music is my favorite, and Spaceship Earth pictures are necessary so share all the ones you want!

I have yet to visit WL, I'd love to stay there at some point, maybe rent points there, when I'm don't paying off my student loan debt lol.

Quick note about the airport, if you are close enough to NY, Westchester airport is the easiest to fly out of. Jetblue flies direct to Orlando from there. Security is quick and easy, there aren't really any food places but you can always stop on the way there. There are literally 2 gates, so no worrying about racing to it, or getting lost.

Anyway can't wait to read the rest!!

LOVE love love EPCOT! Seriously cannot get enough of it. It's always the park we hit at least twice. Your hubby sounds like mine. He's really just there for the food and beer.
Really liking your pictures of WL too.
