WORST DISNEY DINING EXPERIENCE

Tutto Italia, hands down. The food quality and the customer service was poor enough for us to never return or recommend to others.

I've never been to HDDR so I'm not defending them, but if your kids were sick on different days then is was likely a stomach bug & had nothing to do with the food. If it were the food they would have both been sick immediately following eating it & not days apart. I wouldn't want others to decide not to go there based on this experience when it doesn't sound like it was the restaurant's fault.

DW and I love to eat out when we travel and honestly, we always lower our expectations when we dine in WDW. Do they charge a lot for food they are serving? Heck yes, but we know that and understand it, so we just have low expectations when we dine in WDW. I don't mind paying $$$-$$$$ prices like at Victoria and Albert's, but they are the exception. We only dine at $-$$$ WDW restaurants now but we've eaten at most of WDW restaurants. It's funny how you get a lot for what you pay for in admission ticket for the theme parks, but I wish the same can be said for the food.

Symptoms of food "poisoning" can begin up to days after consuming tainted food and could affect each child differently in terms of severity and duration of symptoms. It may not have been the restaurant's fault, there is no way of knowing for sure without more info.

Now I will say, that the only thing that made this entire visit worthwhile was my 6 year old son ordering the pistachio ice cream and in his best Mater impersonation, within ear shot of the waitress says "What ever you do, do not order the pistachio ice cream. It has turned"! That poor server had no idea of the context and I thought she was going to have a heart attack. I, on the other hand, found it hysterical!

This is hilarious!!!

BOG for lunch. To be fair, it wasn't terrible, but it was easily the worst food I've had on property ... certainly not worth the hype ... or the time we spent waiting on the bridge.

Not defending anything, but actual food poisoning does not occur until around 7 hours after consumption. It is never immediate, as that would be a physical impossibility. (Years in food service management/ health department taught me that).

I've never had bad service- but the places that I'm not going back to anytime soon due to food quality

Tony's
Flying Fish
Tutto Italia
Les Chefs

CRT- hands down lunch. Horrific service, terrible food. It really took away from the experience. WIth that being said, we plan to give breakfast a shot in December with family who has never been to WDW and wants to eat there more than anything. I just may sleep in that morning lol.

Garden Grill. Good service, good character interaction, (2 adults) food just meh.

The worst experience for me was The Wave at dinner. I had the lamb, and thinking about it now still makes me feel a little queasy. Dessert didn't even make it better. I'd still be willing to go back for the breakfast buffet because I've heard awesome things about it, but dinner won't be a repeat performance.

Our most awkward dining experience, however, definitely goes to the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs back when they still used the card stamping system and you paid at the register after your meal. After finishing breakfast, we headed toward the register with our stamped cards to pay the bill, and our server proceeded to chase us down, screaming "No! No! No!" all the way across the restaurant. She escorted us over to an empty register, pointed out that we hadn't left a tip on the table (we were using a credit card), and rang us up herself. My DH and I got the biggest kick out of that experience because neither one of us knew what the heck happened.

Totally agree....that was our experience too and I have Xed Chef Mickey off my list forever!
We are right there with you, haven't returned since dd's birthday celebration some years back was an extreme disappointment there, would have been better going to the local McDonalds for that matter...long story, but much of what you already mentioned took place in addition to "who cares it's you're birthday attitude"...:mad:

Sorry to hear about your bad experience at the Wave. It could have been the lamb...:rolleyes2 We always enjoyed dinner there but our favorite meal is still breakfast, love the buffet. If you can get past that bad dinner experience (as I know sometimes when you have a bad experience at a restaurant it is pretty tough to go back even if it was a different meal)... check out the breakfast. The buffet is a good value and a great way to have a lot of "options" to choose from.

Feel free to check out my breakfast review from there:

Chef Mickey hands down worst meal. I left feeling like I had spend nearly $200 for my kid's to eat a donut. Food was cold and gross.

I also was not crazy about Chefs de France. It was the one that I was most excited about and I left highly disappointed. Service was terrible. Only plus was Remy. The man that came around with him was hilarious and we enjoyed the few minutes that he spent at our table very much. We also met a wonderful couple that sat next to us. Had lots of time to chat it up since our server disappeared for 20 minutes at a time.

It may have been just us but my family was really disappointed with the food at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at the Poly. The show itself was great but the food was inedible. The meat was like greasy leather, burnt rolls, bitter salad etc. just really bad. We didn't eat it and afterwards just grabbed quick service.

Am sure this will probably not go over well but mine was be our guest for lunch. Food wasn't very good and they rushed you in and out so fast to make space for others that you didn't get to take in much of the ambiance. Was very disappointed aft all the hype and wait.

Worst experience for me, hands down, was the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Friends wanted to go and made the reservation. We arrived at the reservation time, possibly a few minutes early, but certainly not late. Waited and waited and waited to be seated. We were finally taken to a table and handed menus. We then waited about 15 minutes before our server stopped by to take drink orders, and we requested to go ahead and place our meal orders as well. We noticed in the meantime that the two empty tables near ours were filled. And they had gotten drinks (which we were still lacking). Then we noticed those tables had gotten appetizers, and we were still lacking drinks. Our drinks finally arrived. The nearby tables' meals arrived. Then their desserts arrived and our meals had still not come out and our server hadn't been by in at least 20 minutes. We finally stopped another server (who had been helping with a big party) to see what had happened to our food and our server finally reappeared, food in tow. My steak was charred on one side, raw on the second (not quite the medium I had requested) and someone else had an issue with their food--one of our party has food allergies so it may have been related to that. Our server once again disappeared and we flagged down another. Send back the two meals with issues. The other person's meal came back and was fine on the second attempt. Mine never came back. Again, waited for our server. He also never came back. We asked to see a manager. The manager said they would take off my meal, which took another 15 minutes, but offered nothing else.

It was a bad enough experience that our friends (who are Disney regulars) actually went to the front desk of the Yacht Club to complain. We were laughing about it the next night at Mama Melrose's with our server, because at that point what else could you do? He was awesome and actually explained what happened to his manager who comp'd our meal and gave us special seating to Fantasmic (pre-fastpasses) that evening.

Our worse meal last year was at Beaches and Cream. My DD ordered a plain hamburger, he ate maybe half of it. I ordered onion rings and my DD ordered fries. They were both so greasy, we couldn't eat them. Nasty. We didn't say anything. But our server (the second one, the first disappeared) asked if something was wrong with them when he saw we hadn't eaten them. I told him what was wrong and he took it off the ticket, so that was nice. We all decided we wouldn't go back there again.
