Well we are going Easter Weekend!! Our park days will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tell me which park to go to on each day.

I've found that the word "never" is never as definitive in application as it is in conversation.

We went last year on Easter and it wasn't bad at all. Possibly heading back again this Easter

Is agree with above, last easter weekend wasn't bad, so we are going back this a Easter evening.

We've been over Easter many times and survived just fine. I think you are already over the worst part- the high costs. (Except the jacked up buffet/food prices, but those are kind of hidden, so most folks don't notice.)

The weather and landscaping are beautiful!

My biggest reservation of going over Easter is the crazy hotel prices!

As for which park- you'll probably want to avoid MK on Easter day, though we have survived even that. Your best bet on actual Easter (and perhaps you Saturday) is AK. You cold hop somewhere else that night. If you are going to do a non-park day (the 4 biggies) or afternoon - again- Easter and your Saturday are good days to do non-park stuff. Those days are great for DTD, resort hopping, walking the BWK, a fancy dinner, swimming, a water park, getting off WDW....

Seriously, the REST of Florida is a fine place to visit that weekend. Harry Potter will likely also be busy on Easter, but otherwise there are many fun offsite options. Easter is a fine day to visit a FL beach!

I feel your pain! We did last Easter and the resort prices were in nosebleed territory! I said Never Again! At these prices I can go anywhere twice! So this Easter for a fraction of the cost we are going to New Orleans with my sister's family.

When I was talking to my niece she said "Hey How about we do Easter 2016 in WDW?" So we may bite the bullet and go back.

Growing up, Easter was the only time we ever went to Disney, and that was before there was ever such a thing as FP. It was busy but I didn't know Disney to be any other way. Those trips were always wonderful.

J/K. You can't "beat" the crowds. You just have to use common sense to try to get the better of them.

Isn't there some new "park" where you can shoot machine guns as a family in Orlando now? Try line cutting at that place!

Oh please tell me you're serious. This is one of those stupid things my family would have to try simply because it's so ridiculous.

Getting covered in parakeets at Gatorland Zoo is good times.

Went to EPCOT early Easter morning several years ago and the place was empty. Have never seen it so empty. After lunch it got crowded. Have never seen it so crowded.

I said I would never go over Easter either. My son's marching band will perform at MK on the Thurs after Easter so we will be there the whole week. We used points for our flights (3 are flying, 2 on bus with band) but they were twice the price of this past July when we went. The hotel was way more too. That is the only reason we are going this time of year. We usually go in summer so we know high crowds. I was able to get the FP+ that I wanted and dining reservations too. I even got Be Our Guest yesterday for lunch on the friday that we are there.

Just for you Sarge - per the West Orlando News:

Known as the theme park capital of the world with its family friendly attractions, a new theme park where children as young as 13 can fire military-grade weapons in zombie, gangster and cowboy-themed simulators is set to open in Orlando on Saturday.

The attraction, http://www.machinegunamerica.com/, states that it is ‘Orlando’s first machine gun attraction’ and ‘Orlando’s first automatic adrenaline attraction.’

“Whether you’re new on the range or a sharp shooter ready for your next target, you’ll get the rush of power and excitement that can only come from firing real machine guns and powerful firearms with live ammo,” Machine Gun America’s website explains.

It adds: “Whether you’re looking to unleash your inner action star or become a zombie hunter, experience the exhilarating rush of shooting real machine guns and powerful firearms for a thrill unlike any other.”

But there’s push back against the attraction. Lucia Kay McBath, a member of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense, said: ‘You’ve got Holy Land right there in Orlando. You’ve got Disney World, and Epcot. All places for family fun where they should feel protected,’ WTSP reported, according to the Daily Mail.

Gun violence in Orlando and Orange County is on the rise, with easy access to guns. In 2014, homicides are expected to outpace by more than 50 percent the number recorded in 2013.
