I couldn't find a FE forum for this cruise, so I thought I would start one! This is our first family cruise, and the kids don't know yet! We have 5 littles- Will (9), Joshua (7), Alex (5), Natalie (3), and Benjamin (4 mo). I'm really looking forward to getting my FE gifts together! Is this your first Disney cruise? What are you excited about?

Woohoo! When we heard about Star Wars days, my husband's interest was piqued and so was some of our friends! We're the first to put down a deposit, though and we'll see if the other two groups do. This will be our second cruise on the Fantasy.

Sarbah-Do you have any tips about the Fantasy? How old are your kiddos?

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but we are kid-less. I suspect more people will jump in with kids - I've seen all ages on my previous cruises.

What do you want to know about the Fantasy? I love it, but I do love big cruise ships. I love the food, the AquaDuck... the main lobby area is beautiful. I love watching first run movies in the theater.

That's great info. I'm afraid my kiddos will be a little intimidated by the Aquaduck, but they may surprise me!

I bet after a day, they'll be fine! The cantilevered part goes SO quickly, I've never been able to look down to the ocean below. It's so much fun!

(We also did a 4 night trip on the Dream in 2011, I think?)

I'll tell ya, though, this is our third? Western Caribbean cruise and we're not thrilled with the ports, but the Star Wars part is really what sold us. Grand Cayman is a tender port, which means we can't just walk off the ship. We've been to Cozumel a couple of times - we went on a ship sponsored excursion of Tulum, which was amazing, and then we stayed more local last year.

I LOVE Castaway Cay, though. If the weather is good, it's so worth the price of the cruise for that amazing beach day!!

So excited to find ya'll. This is our 3rd Disney cruise and the husband and 7 yo son are the driving force behind picking one with star wars day. Did this same itinerary last October for Halloween on the High Seas and not disappointed missing Jamaica this time for Star Wars. I have 3 kids Lucy 11, Emma 9 and Joseph 7. They are more for the pool than the kids clubs but any questions, shoot them my way and I will try to answer them.
Did FE our 1st cruise but didn't this last one. My kids were disappointed walking the halls and seeing everyone else's so they are excited to do it again.

Glad to have you, Mrsozsquad! Any reason why your kids didn't love the kids' clubs? I've heard that most kids would rather be in the clubs than be with their parents. I'm hoping for a nice mix of family fun and adult time for this cruise.

We are so excited to be going on the Star Wars sailing! We have two kids (9yo boy and 6yo girl) and we are traveling with my in-laws!
We did FE on our last cruise and it was so much fun...kids are looking forward to doing it again!

My kids would rather walk the ship, go see movies, do the midship detective agency and ride the aquaduck than be confined to the clubs. We are already planning on them doing more in the clubs this trip. I only visited the adult pool area once and it was for a drink and it looked really, really nice. Would have loved to stay there for a long time.

Going on our first Disney cruise with this one. The star wars day is what tipped us into going this year. My sister is looking forward to the FE and is already looking for gift ideas!

Hello. Just booked this a couple of days ago, couldn't pass up a Star Wars themed cruise on my birthday. It will be me (toni) and my mom (Wonda), this will be our first Disney cruise. just found this board. Hope to get some helpful tips and lots of fun info.

Hello! My sister told me about this forum. I am so excited to try FE! I'm going to have a hard time choosing what to do lol. This will be my son and my first cruise. I am already planning outfits and door decorations. I am a little sad not to be going to Disney World so I hope this cruise is as fantastic as it sounds. This will be our first Disney Cruise. We were just starting to plan our cruise when they announced the Star Wars days and we quickly jumped on it. DH and I are not new to cruising (I’ve been on 7 Carnival Cruises and DH has been on 5), but it will be our first cruise as a family. Our DS will be 23 months at the time of sailing. Since booking, I’ve been researching like crazy to try and figure out all the little differences about a Disney Cruise.

Awesome sarbah77. I've been doing a lot of research about FE and FE gifts. I didn't think it would be something we would be interested in, but the more I look into it the more excited I get. It's bringing out a crafty side of me I didn't know I had.
