Having a ball with Jeanne and Princess Lily. Weather yesterday was finally great. Tonight is one of our favorite dinners ...TeppanEdo. Back to work Sunday and Monday and looking forward to catching up with everybody there now. Tuesday will be our last Disney day ...of course at Magic Kingdom with dinner at Be Our Guest. Jeanne loves the puff pastry with scallops. Lily loves their Beast Mac and cheese!!! Dee has pics of the princess in action and will be posting soon.

How cool is it to have a lovely grandma who works at The Most Magical Place on Earth!? Glad you are having fun!

Sounds like a magical time! My fairy and I (she's more of a Tink pixiedust: girl) will be checking in late tomorrow night. Can't wait to see you Sunday. :yay::yay:

We arrive at YC in 10 days and all our ADRs, FP+ etc are set. :cheer2:

I booked a garden view room which I think was the best available option at the time. To get the best possible view, should I just ask for a good view? Or is there another more specific criteria that would be helpful?

Thank you!!!

We checked in on Friday morning after spending Thursday night at the Boardwalk. The room was ready for us when we went over to drop our bags with bell services, around 11am, before heading to DTD for the day.

We were right on the corner circled below:

We had a ridiculously large balcony that I actually think may have been bigger than our room, LOL:

It was a pretty regular room otherwise. Two queen beds, which ended up being good even though I had requested a king bed. The night before the marathon, I slept in one bed while DBF slept in the other, which kept him from waking me up when he came back from Boardwalk browsing and kept me from waking him up at 2:30am wake up call.:thumbsup2

The room did show a good amount of wear so it's good they are refurbing but nothing was really terrible or noticeable.

It was a great stay, and everyone at Concierge was really great with helping when any issues popped up! I miss it already. :guilty:

That's a nice big balcony and the view is so pretty. Thanks for sharing Bryana.

Teena. ..glad to hear you're having a great time with you're family. The pictures are adorable. Her curly hair reminds me of when my oldest was her age. Enjoy!

Maybe they consider that a Test Track view ;)

Jay

Haha, except the vehicles that drive by don't go as fast with kids screaming their heads off :rolleyes1

We did have a view of the fireworks from Illuminations off to the right of our balcony, which made the view nice....but you can't really see the view at night.
Give and take I guess :)

I have always enjoyed "gazebo view" but this last time we had a room facing the back entrance (3151) to the YC which allowed us to watch the high fireworks from the WS at night. Hope you have a great time.

Dee...... your forgetting that raising kids and chaperoning their trips is always a work out. :scared1: So........ you're working out more than you think!

Thanks! I'll go with that!

:thumbsup2

Thanks for this. I love the look of POR and want to check it out, but I really want the BC for all its loveliness as well. Plus, DH is harder to convince that Disney needs to be a regular trip, so I don't have the flexibility to do what I want on the next trip because I'm not sure how long I have to wait for it:

DH: "There are other places in the world to visit, ya know."
Me: "Yeah, that's what Epcot is for."

~Cari~ pluto:

Exactly!!!

:rotfl2:

Checking in Wednesday September 2nd. Will probably be there around 11:00am. I doubt a room would be ready that early? Would we be allowed to change in a bathroom then hang out at the pool?

:welcome: to this forum.

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.

:cool1:

As others have answered, yes, you can use the restrooms near Stormalong Bay to change to use the pool if your room is not ready at checkin.

:)

We will be staying at BC Sept 12-20. So excited! First time staying on property. Celebrating our 5th anniversary.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

:woohoo:

much awaited

:welcome: to the thread.

:welcome:

Many of the GV rooms overlook either the back entrance (lakeside) courtyard, which has great people watching and is closet to lobby/transportation or the wedding gazebo which is a lovely view.

So you could request "Back Entrance Courtyard View, please" or "Wedding Gazebo view, please".

Here is the link for YC views so you can see some samples of possible views in the GV category.

We arrived! We were greeted and taken to check in.We checked in about 8:30am this morning. Our room wasn't ready so we dropped our luggage with Bell Services and drove over to Animal Kingdom.

So we are at BCV and I had requested an upper floor and water view (initally so that we might face the quiet pool) but then noticed that Water View wasn't an option any longer on the online check in. When I asked this morning, we were told we had a 'Theme Park' view. Ok, no problem that is different!

This... Is our view.

Not quite happy with it, and we are about a mile from the Villas lobby, but I am at Disney and that's what matters.
Bell Services was quite quick in delivering our luggage when we called for it, so that's a plus :)

I'm hoping to see some fireworks, to help convince me this is TPV :lmao:

We are stuck in the room right now because of thunder, lightning and rain....lots of rain, so I don't know if Illuminations will go off tonight.

We have and ADR for 50s Prime Time tonight at 7:30. I hope the rain lets up! We are probably going to forfeit our FPs at HS tonight as well....no fun in the pouring rain.

We did have a view of the fireworks from Illuminations off to the right of our balcony, which made the view nice....but you can't really see the view at night.
Give and take I guess :)

I'm actually thinking that this is the long-awaited "Forestry Expansion" of the Living with the Land attraction.

:rotfl2:

I hope the weather has started to get better for you. I saw some pictures others posted from that first day you were there- WOW!

Glad you can see some fireworks.

When you are back home, can you provide your room number so I can add your pictures and comments to BCV View Thread?

Sending you pixie dust that the rest of your vacation is magical. :wizard:

Thanks!

:goodvibes

I just booked my flights this morning, its feeling more real now! :)

I am on the list for BC from 4/20/4/26, but I ended up switching to YC (saved $997 by switching to get the Spring deal!)
