Upgrade costs for dining plans 2013 and 2014

Word is it will be out for September starting May 9, but only during September. There are no August dates this year, apparently.

Help! I called Disney and they gave me $25.00 as the adult QS price and $16.00 for a child. Does anyone know if this is correct because it does not match what I have been reading on this site and others?

No, that is not correct. The price of the QS plan is $37.58 for adults and $14.32 for children, year round. If they really were going to charge you that, it's about $10 less than they should be charging.

Thank you, TDC Nala. It did not sound right to me either. It's a little frustrating when trying to budget and price out different possible promotions. Uggh :confused3

Just curious. Ive already booked my trip for September For AoA with Deluxe dining plan. How do I calculate how much free dining will bring my package price down?

If you receive the free dining at a value resort (AoA is a value resort) then you will get the quick service dining free.

Use the amounts in the first post. Find the difference between the quick service dining plan and the deluxe dining plan. Multiply that by the amount of people you have on the plan (adults and children) and the number of nights you are staying. That is the amount you would be paying for the dining plan.

We've never done a dining plan before, so forgive some probably ridiculous questions. 1) Can you upgrade Quick Service to Regular for just one day of your stay. If ONE DAY ONLY we want a sit-down meal, is that upgrade possible? 2) If we get the Regular plan, do we have to go to a sit-down restaurant once a day? Or can we go to 2 quick service restaurants instead?

Thanks for your help.

No, you cannot upgrade for only one day. You must upgrade for the entire stay, or none of it.

You can use one TS credit for one CS meal (you cannot redeem one TS credit for two CS meals - it is strictly a one for one trade). You can never use CS credits for TS meals.

Ok.. Sorry if this has already been asked.. If you have free dining and are staying in a moderate can you downgrade to QS??

No. You can upgrade free dining, but not downgrade it. However, because it's free dining, just use the TS credits for CS meals and you have pretty much the same thing.

TDCNala, I tried PMing you, but your inbox is full. Was just wondering if you could update the 2014 dining plan upgrade amounts in the first post. Just noticed that they are incorrect, presumably because of the new prices set earlier this year. :goodvibes

I know nothing about the dining plan but I am looking into it. We are a family of 4 two kids 6 and 8. We are staying Presidents week. Never did the dining plan before but might consider it. I think we would do the regular dining plan.

My Dd is picky and might eat half a bagel and snack all day when at home
My son likes toast or pancakes for breakfast and grazes all day
DH and I like coffee and toast

Lunch
We all eat a sandwich with the exception of DD and chips and a drink

Dinner
This is where we would do a sit down dinner. We eat normal meals but I am sure they would all be sit down for the week

According to my research the DDp would be about 160.00 per day for the 4 of us. I am trying to figure out if we would spend that per day without the plan.
I thought about getting breakfast foods from garden grocer and a ton of snacks to throw in a backpack for the kids and then have sit down dinners at night. I just am clueless about which option is better.

2015

Quick Service to Regular

Child: $10.63 per night

If you observe math errors or are quoted something different, feel free to post. All prices are per person.

Would a wonderful DisBoard member please update the above dining upgrade prices for 2017? We will appreciate your help. Thank you
