Official Star Wars Weekends 2014 Tips and Tricks

I'm sure it is a percentage but I do not know and have no idea about what the percentage is. I'm guessing small, but who knows.

the 25% held back figure suggested by yulilin3 sounds fair

What I don't get is why not sell a $250 ticket for MH for an autograph session. It would have been sold out in no time. No need for waiting in line, no need for extra security, the mouse would make a profit...

so true, but he may have balked:confused3

sunscreen. A folding chair to camp out in to get Billie Dee's autograph. If you are going another day I'd go to Ray Park's show and James Arnold Taylor's show.

Last year didn't brave the line for autograph tickets but CM saw me peeking into his booth before he arrived. Laughed & asked if i was a fan. He told me to position myself approximately 1/2 hour ahead of his announced arrival time to take pics:thumbsup2. I was thrilled to get to see him so close. There were lots of ladies in my ahem age group who remember him fondly as a real heart throb. Nothing wrong with a cropped picture to remember the moment;)

ASHLEY IS HOSTING PADAWAN MIND CHALLENGE!! AWESOME!!! How do you know? I wish they would fast pass this and jedi training.

She announced it on heruniverse.com and also on the Rebel Force Radio podcast that aired on May 2nd.

There you go. I think there is a really good chance there might be an appearance at the hat stage AND an appearane at stars of the saga with Billie Dee.

this would be the best idea!

I agree with d-r and icecoldpenguin. I hope they don't let those of us who gave up other FP+s for SotS down and that they also allow more people to somehow enjoy an interview.
I suspect timing, autographs, most of what WDW does or does not do for SWW actually comes down to security. (and profit...)

i've got my SWW at DHS planned for June 6 which is also when gay days are "hosted" there.

Does that have any real impact on the crowd level that day? (y'know, above and beyond Mark Hamill being there!) I managed to get a FtF RSVP and really only plan on attending the parade in the morning and then come back in the evening for dinner (RSVP'd at SciFi already) see Darth Mall, ride some rides and then catch the fireworks.

How do we know the parade is at 11:30am in years past wasnt it at 11 with a show at the hat at 11:15am?

When Feel the Force was announced it stated the parade is at 11:30. Wristbands are given out prior to the parade for all FtF participants.

yulilin only posts info that has been confirmed so that everyone can put together their schedules.

Can't remember if it was last year or the year before that I was at SWW during gay days. Either way, I didn't think it impacted crowds more than a norm SWW.

I will say this, my son and I were at EPCOT and DHS on the designated gay day. You would be very hard pressed to find another "organized group" day in the parks that is less disruptive. Great group of individuals to be in the park with! I say this as someone who has never been there as a member of an organized group, but has been there during POP Warner, grad night, night of Joy, Jersey Week, and for some reason every time there are tons of cheer leading teams in the parks.

My worst visit to the work was at POR during POP Warner. This experience convinced me to buy into DVC.

Somehow, I have a feeling I am going to regret this post as I am bound to offend someone. That is by no means my intention. My intention was only to say don't let the fact that you are visiting during gay days dissuade you from doing SWW. And yes, they should send the flame breathing dragon up to shoot fireballs at the bi-plan with the offensive banners during gay days. Sorry, could not resist.

You would think I would have paid attention to this when I booked the feel the force package for the last weekend. Thanks for letting me know I don't know what I was thinking.

I knew that week was gay days going in (just wasn't sure which park was for which day)... I'm not concerned about the people... I'm just concerned about the CROWDS of people. :)

With what you have planned and with Fp+, you'll be fine! Mark Hamill weekend is enough to make it crazy busy.

There's so much info out there and on the thread that it's hard to remember. When I read your question, it was like, I know the answer... but what was it? :)

If I learn of something that's not 100% confirmed I post it as a RUMOR, but if it's on the first page it's official and announced by Disney in some sort of way...the only thing I don't know for sure are the times for the Padawan Mind Challenge, but I expect them to remain the same as last year.

Hi Gang, Here are the pictures I promised...

You need to go to this public Picasa Web Album, because the pictures are too high quality to post to imgur.

Enjoy!

And Thank you :worship: for your good wishes on this project! I'll keep you posted when I am official :)

Haha, so sorry I've had to catch up on the thread for being sooo far behind.

But! I wanted to chime in and say that I think you're costume is spot on! and what a great job! :thumbsup2

If they have both done JTA before (at HS and DL) should we try for PMC. I thought we might divide and conquer if one wants to do JTA and the other wants PMC. How easily will these fit into our schedules? Thanks again!!

2 years ago our 3 kids did both JT and PMC in same day. We went right from JT sign ups to PMC sign up. Definitely less people were signing up for PMC.

Did 3 days SWW last year so we did them on separate days but again had no trouble with PMC. We were given choice of times. Remember one was focused on Clone Wars.

About crowd levels, we've been there three or more weekends a year for the past 4 years and the only thing I've noticed different about the first weekend in June is the plane flying with the banner overhead.

Its going to be crowded.
