Bibbidi-Bobbidi-BOO and a few Disney Dresses too!~ A Sept ’13 TR

Next up was Jasmine.

Isla made sure to tell her that she had already worn her Jasmine outfit to the “other” castle. I guess she didn't want Jasmine to feel sad that no one matched her haha.

Donovan claims that he does not like the princesses at all… but he says that if he HAD to pick a favorite, that it would be Jasmine. No one had to ask him to join in on this photo… he did that all on his own.

Then it was Bronwyn’s favorite …Ariel!

This Ariel’s sweetness was infectious! I just loved her!

We had her sign a photo mat that we’ll frame and use in Bronwyn’s Little Mermaid room.

Last but not least was Aurora.

We had some wonderful character interaction here. Each princess had spent a lot of time at our tables. Poor Aurora had tried twice to see us but the princess in front of her hadn’t been finished with us yet, so she had to come back… and back again.

Overall, Cinderella’s Royal Table was such a magical experience. It does use 2 credits from the dining plan which was somewhat of a deterrent, but as we found out, it was definitely worth it! We had such wonderful service and the food was fabulous. The atmosphere is so special and watching the princesses interact with the kids is just priceless.

After we exited the restaurant, we stopped to check out the mosaic murals inside the main corridor of the castle.

Thousands of pieces of glass form these beautiful masterpieces! They are SO beautiful!

I'm so glad you had such a great time at CRT! You got some amazing pictures, and I'm sure the memories will be so much more. :goodvibes

How cute that Mr. Cool had to jump in for a pic with Jasmine. I love that!

Your breakfast looked delish, they've changed the menu since we last had breakfast there!

Great update! CRT is Avery's favorite while Akershus is Emily's pick for a princess meal. Their dresses are so cute!! That starfish clip is just perfect.

I am sitting here trying to decide where want to eat on the next trip since I can make our ADR's in just 12 more days with Avery looking over my shoulder. After seeing your CRT pics, she is asking to eat there again this year. :goodvibes

Congrats on the upcoming trip!! :woohoo:

What a lovely morning at CRT. All of the princesses are so pretty, including your three little ones! That picture of Snow White holding Isla's hand made me awwwwww out loud as I was scrolling through pictures. I immediately noticed Donovan's guy-liner...too funny!!

Ariel is just adorable. The one of her and Bronwyn alone is such a precious photo! :lovestruc

Seems like it was a great breakfast all around!!

I am dying to do CRT for breakfast!!A totally different experience that’s for sure! Really glad that you guys had a fun time at breakfast, I really do enjoy character meals, they say that they might not be the best character interactions and sometimes, they aren’t, but I haven’t had any horrible experiences lol!!

I loved reading about the "princesses" trip to BBB! It looks like everyone had a great time at CRT! Your breakfast looks AMAZING!

CRT was just amazing! The new menu made it hard for me to choose my breakfast. I would really love to go back and try the Caramel Apple stuffed french toast! :teeth:

Yay, I can't wait to hear about your ADRs. Deciding where to eat is such a fun part of the trip planning. CRT was definitely my favorite of the two princess meals. But my girls really enjoyed meeting Belle, so I can see them choosing Akershus over the castle. princess:

Congrats on the upcoming trip!! :woohoo:

I love that pic of Snow White holding Isla's hand too... it just melts my heart. Those princesses are so sweet! :lovestruc

We tried our best with removing Donovan's pirate make-up but the areas under his eyes just wouldn't budge, lol.

Thank you for sharing your experience at CRT. I'm having breakfast there for the first time next week, I'm SUPER excited!

Oh you are going to LOVE CRT!! I'm so excited for you... and a bit jealous! I can't wait to hear which entree you decide to order. :woohoo:

Donovan with his sword in his mouth, haha. He must have still been in pirate-mode from the night before. pirate:

It was an absolutely AMAZING first trip!! ::yes::

Ah man, I know! I am SO sick of the snow. We got about 19 inches with last week's storm. I don't mind it so much when I can stay home... but when I'm scheduled to work and have to drive in it, then I'm a mess! Hopefully we can get through the rest of the winter without getting too much more!

I am loving your trip report! Thank you so much and I look forward to more. Your children are beautiful and your customized outfits are awesome.

It feels so good to have a trip officially booked. Now I can really start planning.

You should totally try CRT for breakfast... it's fabulous! Those crepes were TDF.

We had great character interactions at all of our meals... no complaints here! :thumbsup2

I loved reading about the "princesses" trip to BBB! It looks like everyone had a great time at CRT! Your breakfast looks AMAZING!

The girls had such a great "princess" morning! So magical! pixiedust:

Those FGIT really are fabulous! What a fun birthday treat for your DD! Bronwyn will be turning 3 on our next trip, so I was thinking we may have the BBB be a birthday surprise for her! :cake: (... not really sure how "well behaved" she will be though lol)

So I maaaay have mentioned that….. WE’RE GOING BACK TO DISNEY!!!! Yeeeeeeeah!!

What helped us was her watching YouTube videos on DH's phone. Hope your next trip is fun. I wish we could go back this year, but we are waiting till May 2015.

Glad your CRT experience was so good. Our wasn't. We don't plan to go again on our next trip. Maybe the next time we go after that.

That's a great idea... I'll have to remember that about the YouTube videos, thanks! So far, planning this next trip has been completely different since the kids know about it. They are putting in their requests of what they want to do! It's been fun!

We did have a great CRT experience... I was a little nervous about using 2 dining credits on it because I had read some iffy reviews. But we lucked out and had great service, food, & interactions from the princesses. That stinks that you had a not so good time there :guilty: Hopefully it will be better if/when you go back :thumbsup2

I left off with us finishing our Bibbidi-Bobbidi-morning with the princesses, so let’s continue with our MK morning and see what kind of magic we find, shall we?

….and a word of warning. My trip notes end right about HERE. Whomp, whomp, whomp. I had been meaning to update them but never got around to it. So for the rest of the TR, I’ll be going by pics (and thankfully I took a ton) and my memories.

We left the castle and started heading over to New Fantasyland… and on our way we spotted some pretty fun people, The Royal Majesty Makers…. so we stopped to see what they were up to.

Lady Llewellyn and her squire, Tobias are looking for a hero of Fantasyland…. someone who would be able to remove the sword from the stone. They went in search of a big, strong man from the crowd…. And who did they choose? JOE’S DAD!!

And you can see that Bronwyn was getting right in on the action, lol.

PUUUUUULLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!

Umm.... I don’t think it moved.

Next they picked a young boy who was able to pull the sword up from the stone. He was declared the “Hero of Fantasyland” Such a cute little show that we caught and were able to be a part of.

Besides ETwB & BOG, we had yet to really check out New Fantasyland. I was super excited for the first place we were heading! Prince Eric’s Castle

We parked our strollers and got in the standby line for Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid. The queue was amazing… but I hardly had time to take any pics. Our wait time was basically the amount of time that it took to walk through. We totally missed a ton of the awesome details and the interactive crab game… but that’s fine with me. The shorter the wait time, meant the sooner we would be riding the ride!

I have always been a huge Little Mermaid fanatic… it was one of the first Disney movies that I remember seeing in the theatre. I also had the soundtrack on a cassette tape that I used to play ALL the time in my little pink boom box. :lmao:

and here is a visual for you all.... (1989 was such a great year! lol)

Such great memories associated with the movie.

And I love that my girls are big fans now too! So needless to say, we were all very excited for this ride!

We all got into our clamshells, and off we went.

A funny little background story... The year that we dressed up like the characters from The Little Mermaid for Halloween... Donovan was insisting that he wanted to be the "Blue Lobster"... we were like huh? Well he ended up being Sebastian, but it was too funny when we passed this guy on the ride! Joe pointed out the "Blue Lobster" and we all started cracking up!

My favorite villain! Disney did a great job with her in this ride. She looked SO real... well I guess, as real as an animated character can look.

I loved that the ride followed right along with the storyline of the movie. My only complaint was that it was over way too soon, lol. I was enjoying it so much that I wished it was longer! Everyone else along for the ride gave it two thumbs up too.

After the Ariel ride we headed into Storybook Circus area.

WAIT, WHAT?! You didn’t go see Ariel in her grotto right after the Ariel ride, you ask? I know, I know! I had a total brain fart and FORGOT to have us go see Ariel… and actually, I didn’t even realize that I did that until waaaay later in the trip!- actually maybe even after we got home. I CAN’T believe I forgot about Ariel! I have been totally kicking myself ever since. Just another “must-do” for next trip, right?

We were starting to really notice the heat and my mother-in-law had mentioned that she wasn’t feeling very well. So I suggested that we take advantage of the air-conditioning in Pete’s Silly Sideshow.

We let Donovan pick which character line to get into: Minnie & Daisy or Goofy & Donald… and surprise, surprise… he picked:

We had about a 10 minute wait and then the kids were meeting The Great Goofini.

Fist bump!

And then The Amazing Donaldo!

Donald had borrowed Isla’s magic wand and used it to charm the snake.

Such a fun M&G! Goofy & Donald were a hoot!

As we excited Pete's Silly Sideshow, we found ourselves in Big Top Souvenirs. How fun to have a gift shop that makes you feel like you’re inside a circus tent!

One of the first things that I spotted was Big Top Treats and all of their goodies.

I’ll have one of each please!

How cute are these?

Jorie came up to the counter with me and we picked a couple snacks for later while everyone else looked around the gift shop. When everyone had seen enough, we headed back out into the Florida heat & humidity. My in-laws decided to take a break and head back to their resort. (I found out later that they stopped to see Hall of Presidents and then did a ride on Splash Mountain)

We had a 12:40-1:40 FP+ that we could use for Dumbo, so that’s where we headed next.

Isla declared the Dumbo ride to be "THE BEST!"

Continued in Next Post

Our next FP+ was for The Barnstormer but it wasn’t good until 1:55-2:55.

So instead of waiting, we decided to skip it and head over to Tomorrowland… an area of the park that we hadn’t seen at all yet.

We found a shady spot for everyone to have a seat. I ran over to the entrance of Tomorrowland Speedway and grabbed a Rider Switch pass.

Not sure why it has the wrong date on it. :confused3

Donovan has always been obsessed with cars and was really excited to ride, so Joe said that he would take him on first. Isla wanted to ride too, so my mom offered to take her. I stayed back with Bronwyn and Jorie.
While the others were gone, we pulled out those snacks that we had bought earlier.

A Mike cake pop that Jorie had picked out.

Bronwyn say Cheese.... "Cheeeeese!" lol

And my pick, a chocolate covered pineapple skewer. Yum!

After we had cooled off a little, we headed over to the railing to watch some of the cars drive by.

Now all throughout the trip, different CMs would refer to the girls as “Princess” My girls truly felt special each and every time someone called them “Princess” Sometimes they would even turn to me and whisper “Mom… he/she thinks I’m a princess!” No matter how often it happened, it never got old!

Now to take it even a step further… as we were standing there watching all of the cars go by, thinking that maybe we would spot Donovan or Isla drive past, I turned as I heard someone talking to Jorie. It was a young girl, who had her autograph book open. She was asking Jorie… the “Princess” for an autograph.

The girl’s mother was there with her and she gave me a knowing smile. We watched as Jorie’s face lit up with delight. She proudly signed “Marjorie” in the girl’s book. The girl thanked her and walked away. It was just the sweetest thing ever. Definitely one of the most magical moments of the trip. I would love to somehow thank her for that random act of Pixie Dust, it made our day!

After a few minutes, we headed back to where we had been sitting and we found the others already back from their “race.” Donovan and Isla had both LOVED it! Neither Joe or my mom remembered to take any pics though, ergg! And now Jorie was excited for her chance to drive. We headed over to the FP entrance and got in line.

When we first started the ride, I had had my camera set on video by mistake and thought that I was taking a photo… whoops, but I thought that I'd include it anyway...you can click on the short video below to get an idea of what it’s like to ride with a 5 year-old driver, lol.

Joining in, I've loved reading your TR and your photos are just lovely!

What a lovely experience for Jorie to experience with that young girl, that one way to make a little princess feel like a true princess!!!
Your children are soo sweet, their costumes for the party are so adorable and unique, the girls dresses for BBB are lovely!
What a lovely idea to get Ariel to sign the photo frame for Bronwyn's bedroom!

What a fun update! My heart is melting hearing about that young lady making Jorie feel so special. Those pics of Jorie and Bronwyn sharing snacks are adorable too.

Storybook Circus was a surprise to me. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do. That gift shop is just great isn't it?

Too bad you skipped Ariel, but that's for next time. And you get to plan next time!!!! So excited for your next trip BTW!

No worries on the notes. I've never taken a note ever for a TR so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Haha it's kinda funny that sometimes having no line can suck a little when the queue is so well done. But you're right, it's still better than the alternative.

Aww that's actually kinda cute that Donovan wanted to be the Blue Lobster. Clearly a Non-Conformist you've got there.

Oh the Ursella animatronic is off the charts.

Ummmmm, yeah on the missed Ariel Meet and Greet. Been there, done that. :headache:

Oh Man, that close up photo of Dumbo is WICKED!!!

Awwwwwwww how sweet of that young girl to do that for your daughter. Just precious. :cutie:

The majesty makers are always so much fun to watch! We’ve usually seen them in passing but I wouldn’t mind stopping to watch a full set sometime soon!

Glad you guys went to pete’s slideshow, that’s seriously my new favorite place to hang out, especially later in the evening, there’s NO ONE back there at all and goofy and Donald are a blast to goof around with at that time!

Great dumbo pics!! How sweet that the girl stopped for a princess autograph!! That really is some fantastic pixie dust!
