YAY, it has started!!!

I hate paying for checked baggage. Hate it. A good part of that for me is the lengths people go to to avoid the fee by bringing these massive bags onto the plane. That just annoys me for some reason. I could go on and on about checked baggage, but it would fill up a whole page, so lets move on shall we?

I loved that you showed us the Oswald...I just told me kids about that part of Disney history and my son thought that was really cool that he was back in the Disney fold. I'm so excited to read your adventures, you have a special story-telling ability!

Yayayayayay! Your level of excitement at going to Disney and being on a Disney Motor coach and being at Disney is just so great!! I was exactly the same when I went. OMG those pumpkins are PERFECT! I love love love the Hades one; he is one of my favourite villains. I have to say (and I don't mean this to sound creepy!) that I wish I looked as good as you guys when in Disney. Though I suppose that could have something to do with the fact that I've only ever been in July/August. I look forward to the next update!

Hi Lia!! I just happened to see this thread on the TR thread and knew I had to follow along! I LOVE how you are a fan of Hanson!! I haven't listened to their recent stuff, but I LOVED them when I was younger! Also, your costume for MNSSHP is pretty much perfect. While I was on my CP, I was able to do a tour with some fellow cast members of the Haunted Mansion and ever since then I've had this love for that attraction. Anyways, I'm subbing so I can follow along!

Disney cm’s are just so incredible, like, those guys just give service better than anywhere else lol! There is seriously nothing in the world like arriving at a Disney resort! Pop is so home for me that it always makes me happy reading about it in your reports, but like, seriously, arrival day is so amazing and full of excitement and happiness!

ARG! ALL THIS HALLOWEEN IS MAKING ME WANT IT TO BE TIME ALREADY! Steven & I on a regular basis just say “it’s time for boo to you right?” I’m pretty sure we’re both going to cry when it starts when we’re there next year! Already have costumes planned and possibly two trips! ARG!

WALT DISNEY WORLD TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM BEST BUS VOICE THING EVER I MISS IT SO MUCH. Speaking of things I CAN’T HANDLE that march!! When it plays as you pull into the magic kingdom you just know you’re home, you’re ready to roll and all is right in the world!!

Also I still can’t belive we missed each other by a mere DAY!! If only I’d had more cash in Oct we would’ve stayed for the 31st party too!! One day!! Loved Saving Mr Banks!!

This is going to make me cry, frick. Halloween is by far the most superior of all times, and in Disney it’s just so amazingly magical. I totally get the feeling of being home/ vs being at Disney. I’ll always be back at work after a trip and be like “less than 24 hours ago I WAS ON MAIN STREET” Or the worst, when I work the evening I come home and am all “I woke up in akl looking at zebras this morning…’

Never knew the Oswald was there, I’,l have to look for it!! I adore the lemonade, like, seriously, so delicious and amazing!! And next is BOG?!?! I’mma die! Lol.

I LOVE Jet Blue! I do everything possible to avoid paying for bags, so flying JB takes away the stress of having to fit everything in a tiny carry-on!

Ummm how did I not know about Pinocchio Punch?! Seriously. That looks absolutely delicious and I want some right now! The foam on top takes it up a whole notch I bet. YUMMMM!

This trip sounds like a blast and I can't wait to read all about it! I love Pop, too and the 70's section behind the Mickey Phone was where we stayed on our first visit to Pop, so it will always hold a special place in my heart!

Seriously, MAKE SURE you get it... it is amazing. They have it at several CS/TS locations around WDW under the name All Natural Lemonade w/ Wildberry Foam.

OH MY GOD I am so excited for Better Call Saul, I could die. 11 MORE MONTHS AND IT IS OURS. I love Bob Odenkirk so much and I just know he is going to knock this out of the park having so many original Breaking Bad writers on board. I AM JUST SO EXCITED. I am going to be the weirdo in a Better Call Saul T-shirt walking around yelling BETTER CALL SAUL at people. Definitely.

I totally agree.. Tom is in line with all the other greats. And he never rests on his laurels. He keeps working as hard as usual. I just saw Captain Phillips as well and at the end of that movie there is a scene that I think is some of his best work I've EVER seen. It's just amazing! I love him!!!

Stalking LOL. Well I am happy you told your kids about that, it is great your son found it so cool! More kids need to learn about Oswald... I got my cousin a plush of him and she said, "Who is he?! He looks like Mickey!" so I got into the whole story!

Thank you so much! It's not creepy, it's nice to say. July and August are rough. I get really sweaty and gross trust me, for some reason it does not really show up in pictures that much probably because my skin is so fair. Anyway, thank you for all the compliments!

I would've been so upset if I got Star Trek instead of The Way Way Back (which was an amazing movie, I agree). They really should be clear about the instructions. I would've thought the same as you and then been very grumpy about being stuck with Star Trek! It seems like otherwise Jet Blue was a good experience though. Did you leave from Newark or JFK?

I LOVE Pop, it's like an old friend at this point. My last five trips have been there and it really feels like home at this point. I get mad when people bash it. It's clean and fun and so pretty to look at it, and it just feels so Disney. (Although I am super excited to stay at AoA this summer, I will probably have to walk over to Pop and say hello at some point) I love how there are always CMs waiting to welcome you off the ME and the moment those doors open and I see the sparkly tiles in the lobby, that's when it feels like I've finally made it to Disney. Ugh I miss that feeling...

I did NOT know that Stacey gets updated with a MNSSHP version! That's awesome. And I think I would have voted for the Monsters Inc jack-o-lantern scene. Too cute. The Hades pumpkin was too scary for me

I've been considering starting pin trading because of your last TR. I used to really not get it at all, like I knew how it worked but I guess I just didn't see the point. But after reading your last TR, something just clicked for me and now it seems like SO much fun and I want to do it! I saw at the very end of the TR someone had asked you where you buy your traders from on ebay so I searched and have been looking at the close-up view of all the pins and thinking about what kind of pins I would look for if I was trading... so you may have gotten me hooked and I don't even own any pins yet and won't even be taking a trip for another 6 months! LOL - you just made it seem like so much fun! Is there any way to participate in any pin-trading activities from home while waiting for the next trip?

ETA: I just realized the time and I'm totally going to be late to work because I was reading (and responding) to your updates. I think it's a valid excuse though so I'm not worried...

Dear everyone who has stayed at the Grand Floridian, it's okay. I know you haven't seen these kinds of views but do not be jealous. The platform shoes will be waiting when you are ready to see them!

So yeah...that would be me!! On my earlier visits to Disney, I'd stayed off property for one reason or another, but it had always been my dream to stay at the Grand Floridian & 6 years ago that dream came true! And of course once we had a taste for Disney Deluxe, there was no turning back! So last year we stayed at the gorgeous Beach Club! I certainly wouldn't rule out a view of a giant platform shoe on future visits though...!!

Really looking forward to reading more...Particularly about your wonderful MNSSHP experience I'm still catching up on your Dec. 2011 report too!

It's so fun because the two times I've been back since my CP, it's been like a family reunion. I love/miss my Disney Ohana so much. Maybe someday I'll go back as a CM, but we will see!

How am I just finding this TR? I'm not the Dis-er I used to be. But I'm here now.

Love the hot and fancy lady…those are literally the perfect words to describe her!

The Disney difference is truly, truly noticeable. I actually just wrote about it in my TR but I ventured out to Universal and got YELLED at by an employee and the real kicker is she had us confused with someone else. That would never happen at Disney. I do really love how even the ones at the airport, which is really kind of far from WDW, they still make the difference!

Pop Century is amazing. It just screams fun in your face…not in a scary way, but in an excitable way! I will always love it. It was my first on-site resort too!

Using MagicBands to get in your room is SO convenient! I loved it too…SO COOL

Your whole trip is making me freak out and get homesick because I was at Pop just DAYS before you so I saw all the magical Halloween decorations too and I JUST MISS IT SO BAD!!

I had no idea about the Hidden Oswald!! AHHHH llkjflksdhf!! I love it!

So excited for BoG!!

Oh my goodness Lia I am so in! It's always a relief to see that there are other people out there, like me, who have such a love for Disney and the disboards have been the one place where I can go and share with others about Disney and not get the weird looks or eye rolls lol. I can seriously be having the worst day ever and just see something Disney or hear a Disney song and I am immediately in good spirits again! You are right....It is Magic for sure! Plus anyone who uses a Thundercat reference in their opening post is automatically alright with me
