I am a SAHM. I will probably try to get a part time job at the middle school once the kids are out of elementary school, unless something pops up at their current school and I have time to fit it into my schedule. I am always room mom for both of their classes, and I volunteer two or three days a week doing stuff for their teachers. Usually copies for the most part, but I work with students directly on occasion. I got to help a little girl with her reading last year. She came a long way from the start of the year. :goodvibes I put in about 6-12 hours a week. I really enjoy it.

I was always room Mom for my two daughters, until they got into Jr High. It is GREAT for the kids, to be so involved!:thumbsup2

I'm a teacher (kdg), and my husband is an electrician.
I was also curious about how much people spend on a Disney trip??? I suppose there could be a big difference here, esp. if you are a family flying to FL. Sometimes I think people would think I was insane if they knew how much I spend on D trips...averaging about $8,000 a trip....includes flights for four, rental car, universal tix, pricey dinners...and this year Kennedy Space Center and Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

Well this is our first family trip to Disney but just under $5,000 for a family of five, including airfare! At Not bad, right?!?l Thank goodness for FD!

We paid around $3000 for a family of 4 and that includes airfare.

I am a legal secretary and my dh is a police officer. With FD our pkg price for 8 nts is $3600 for a RR at POR (still hoping for something else to open up). Flights are just around $760 this time on Southwest. DH and DD are planning on dropping a bucket load to play golf 3x and I am going to take a Keys to the Kingdom tour one day they are out. Planning on 2 oop meals. Hopefully that will be it...a souvenir or 2 should do it. Trying to pack in a lot this time since we don't have plans to go back for at least 5 year once DD is graduated.

Ok, I forgot, why did we become alcoholics again? Was it because of 7/29 a day that will go down in history. And let's hope it stays there. No need to be alcoholics anymore. You know, the road to recovery is admitting that you have a problem.:rotfl2:

But it fun to be an alcoholic. Lol *sipping my white freezie*

So where is everybody from. Black562 is from Ohio, Smitch is Indiana, I am from Missouri. I'm thinking people from the Midwest must just be Disney crazy!! I wonder if Disney has any trends on this?!?

I'm from Ontario, Canada unfortunately. :(

I posted this in part 3 because i thought we were done here, but I see everyone is still posting....soooo.....lol

I'm at SAHM/substitute teacher from NC (about 20 minutes from Fort Bragg)....am I the only southerner on here?!

I need help deciding on the photopass+. I'm not completely sold on it. We will be traveling with my parents in November so they will be able to take family shots with my camera and we've never purchased ride pics...although it would be nice to have a some. Is it worth the money? Or can we just have my parents take our family pics or ask a CM to take shots when we need everyone in the pic?

I'm from burrillville,RI. Which right now happens to be the most popular town in the country at this time due to the release of the new movie The Conjuring. It's based on a home in my hometown about 10 min from my house.

That movie was AMAZING!!! I love horror and have been desensitized to them but this one scared the crap out of me. Loved it. :)

That's awesome! Not bad at all for a family! Yeah, no free dining or ro discount for us this year, plus my DS is 13, so he counts as an adult. Flights went up this year, too. We used to be able to round trip from Philly for about $200 each (Southwest). This year, it is about $300 each.

So what do you guys do for a living? We gotta pay for these trips somehow, right? :cool1:

I'm a Dialysis technician (25 years) Oh,and far as qs goes:

Mk: Columbia house
Ak: flametree bbq
Epcot: electric umbrella/sunshine seasons
Hs: Backlot express per my son who loves there buffalo chicken nuggets

I'm from Missouri- but have lived in New Orleans for about 6 years now. I don't really drink but there's no stop to alcohol sales here- we even have drive-thru daiquiri shops!

What?!?! Drive thru daiquiri!!! I am so in the wrong part of the world. :(

No, I'm here. Also from NC just outside of Goldsboro so not that far from you. Don't have any advise on PP+ as we've never used it ~ I've always had PP photogs take family pics for us with no problems. What are your dates in November ~ we're going the 20th - 30th.

Yeah, airfare jumped up in price a LOT! We are considering flying out of Trenton to save money. The prices were cheaper but now they've increased too. I'm waiting it out until the drop again, I read somewhere 49 days prior to departure is the time to buy.

AK - Flame Tree BBQ

EP - Sunshine Seasons
AK - Flame Tree

Last year the trip was around $1,600 for All Star Music. This year at CSR it was around $2,400. I drive though so no flight costs for me. Just me and whoever I'm taking with me at the time.

That's really good!!! I would consider driving, but my DH wants no part of driving.
