Now, Mom is 78 and I am 54 so I understand the curiosity of our family. I don't think she even told Dad.

A little off topic here but I was wondering - I am 54 also and my mother is 79 - I was thinking of asking my mother to go to WDW with us next time but I was worried about all the walking. Did your mother have any trouble or what did you do to make it easier for her?

I was so relieved to read this thread. My husband and I are constantly commenting on the "smells" of Disney. It is a kind of joke between us. We love Disney so much. I work at Hobby Lobby and several of the songs on the store loop sound like the music in Living with the Land. I stop whatever I am doing and go to my happy place for a moment.

We visited an aquarium a few months ago. As you go downstairs, there is a section you walk through where the fish and sharks are swimming over you. It smelt exactly like POTC!!!! My sister and I looked at each other and just went "ohhhhh PIRATES!!!!!"

Don't know if this one is here or not, have not read through all the pages , but...if you go into a Cold Stone Creamery it smells just like Main Street...mmmm!! Sometimes I go in there to stand in line and inhale while getting my son a soda, lol!

Didn'd read the entire thread, so this might have been mentioned:Rain Kissed leaves and Dancing Waters from Bath and Body Works both smell like scenes from Soarin'. They are retired scents but both available for $3 now at the semi annual sale.

Every time I walk outside with my 2 year old and we smell a barbecue, she says, "Mommy, it smells like Spaceship Earth!"

Also, DH likes beer and he told me that he found a beer that TASTES like the roman ruins. Not surprisingly, it's not his favorite.

Has anyone here found out what the smell at BLT is in the lobby? My DH talked about it ALL WEEK when we were there. He loved it so much. I would love to be able to find it and surprise him

Ok, this is probably really weird, but the other day I bought Oscar Mayer precooked bacon. As I was taking it out of the package to put it in the microwave, DD and I both said, "oooooooooooooh, AKL lobby!" It has that same smoky smell.

This is great! My sister always said we know the exact small of the POLY from when we stayed there as kids. Also, the other day I was with my BF and we went somewhere - I wish I could remember - and I said, "I like this place, it reminds me of the lobby of the WL." He looked at me like I was crazy

My DH used "Ocean" from the Bath and Body Works men's line for the first time yesterday. I don't know if it smells the same on everyone, but he smelled just like the ocean scenes in Soarin. So of course I went nuts. He said "I should have known it would take me smelling like Disney to have you go crazy over me!"

I guess its cheating but I wear Geir by Geir Ness cologne so I smell Norway pretty much everyday at work.

The smell I would like to find (and maybe I'll build to match?) is the trading posts at fort wilderness. I think its the cedar they use in the floor planks so next house project may have to be cedar.

The Moroccan mud shampoo bar from Basin plus a little of the L'Oreal conditioner that you get with the hair dye plus a blast of air conditioning reminds me of the Bay Lake Tower lobby smell.

I found a candle at Bed Bath and Beyond that sorta smells like the Universe of Energy. That dry, sorta musty Dino-smell. (I really don't know what Dino's smell like nor do I think I'd want to but..yea)

Sandalwood candles always remind me of the Yacht Club. Kind of a chocolate-y wood rich person smell.

I haven't read the entire thread yet, but I'm pretty sure this one won't be on there lol. Back a few years ago I was at a fellow Disney freak's house just hanging out when all of a sudden she shouts, "OH!! I have something you to have to SMELL! Close your eyes!" As you can imagine, my interest was piqued. I felt a small tremor of fear go through me as she returned to the room with something behind her back.

I shut my eyes as requested and she put something under my nose. "Sniff!" I was told, so I did. This was not a bad smell, and it was very familiar, but I couldn't place it. She gave me hints. Disney World, EPCOT, ride. It smelled kinda smoky, but I still couldn't place it. She put it back behind her back as I opened my eyes. I was baffled. Truly!

She told me to close my eyes again and think of the scene in SE where Rome is burning. I did so and YES! It smelled like that very scene! I opened my eyes in wonder and what did I behold in her hand?? A RUBBER MALLET FROM TARGET! Like the ones you find in the tool department! Don't believe me? Go sniff one for yourself! You may look a bit nutty in the store but believe me it honest to goodness smells like DISNEY!

If you want to cheat a little there are cedar planks (used for grilling) or there are cedar bags? used for moths in closets. I've grilled with cedar chips and it always reminds me of dining at Whispering Canyon for some reason.

On another note, I've found a park near me called the American Tobbaco District that has a man made river flowing through it. When they did the duck race I noticed it smelled EXACTLY like riding POTC or Splash it made me smile.
